Donald Laughlin MacMillan
Donald Laughlin MacMillan died in Woodland Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, at age 82.
Born June 12, 1920, in Oakland, Mr. MacMillan was a retired self-employed plumber for over 15 years. According to his family members, "he enjoyed fishing and hunting."
Mr. MacMillan is survived by his daughters, Kelly Ruiz of Arbuckle and Joyce MacMillan of Yuba City; son, Robert MacMillan of Chico; step-mother, Joyce M. McMillan of Taiwan, R.O.C.; brother, Wallace MacMillan of Berkeley; sister, Madele Stien of Fresno; grandchildren, Anthony Ruiz of Arbuckle, and Laura Ruiz of Arbuckle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean MacMillan; and brother, Fulton McMillan.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, at McNary-Moore Funeral Service, 107 5th St., Colusa
A graveside service is scheduled at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the Arbuckle Cemetery, Arbuckle.
McNary-Moore Funeral Service of Colusa is assisting the family with arrangements.
MACY
Charlotte L. Macy
Charlotte L. Macy died in Woodland Sunday, March 2, 2003, at age 101.
Born Sept. 10, 1901, in Raymondville, Mo., Mrs. Macy had been a Yolo County resident for 25 years. She was a member of Eastern Star, Town and Country Women's Club. She worked as sales clerk at The Broadway in Hollywood. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, Ken Macy of Las Vegas, N.M.; son-in-law, Robert Peterson; granddaughter, Suzy Mitchell of Elk Grove; grandson, Jeff Macy of Covina; and great-granddaughters, Christine, Nicole, Kayla and Emily Duff of Elk Grove. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret (Marge) Peterson on March 20, 2002.
Services: No services are scheduled.
MADDEN
Leon Madden
Leon Madden of Arbuckle died at Colusa Regional Medical Center Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 at age 84.
Mr. Madden was born Feb. 21, 1921 in Belleville, Ark. He had been an Arbuckle resident for 62 years. He was a farm worker for 40 years.
Survivors include Mr. Madden's daughters, Mary Ruth Baker of Antioch and Brenda Coutee and her husband Frank of Dunnigan; his sons, James Madden and Nathan Madden of Arbuckle, Omer Madden and his wife Judy and Benny Madden and his wife Laurie, all of Dunnigan; his grandchildren, Camie Rye, Karen Charles, Gina, Whitney, David, Amy, Jessica, Nathanial, Ashley and Nicholas Madden, Cheryl Saso, Frankie and Joseph Coutee; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; his sisters, Lillie Bell McAnally of Arbuckle and Ercie Lee Lytal of Woodland; and his brother, Don Rutledge and his wife Clara of Arbuckle. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ruby Gladys Madden.
Services: Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. today, Tuesday at the Arbuckle Cemetery. McNary-Moore Funeral Service of Colusa is assisting the family with arrangements.
MADDEN
Ruby Gladus Madden
Ruby Gladus Madden passed away Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004 at Valley West Care Center in Williams at age 84.
Mrs. Madden was born April 9, 1920 in Bellville, Ark. and was a long-time Arbuckle resident. She was a member of the New Life Christian Center.
Survivors include Mrs. Madden's husband of 63 years, Leon Madden of Arbuckle, daughters Mary Ruth Barker of Antioch, Brenda Coutee and her husband Frank of Dunnigan, sons James Madden of Arbuckle, Omer Madden and his wife Judy, Benny Madden and his wife Laurie all of Dunnigan, and Nathan Madden of Arbuckle, her sisters Eulean Fink of Texas and Faye Truitt of Oregon, her brothers Odell Johnson of Auburn, Jake Johnson and Leroy Johnson both of Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren Camie Rye, Karen Charles, Gina Madden, Cheryl Saso, Frankie Coutee, Joseph Coutee, Whitney Madden, David Madden, Amy Madden, Jessica Madden, Nathanial Madden, Ashley Madden, Nicholas Madden, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Madden was preceded in death by her daughter Cathryn Madden, sons David and Richard Madden, and brothers Herman and Opel Johnson.
Memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Madden's name to her husband Leon Madden, P.O. Box 518, Arbuckle, 95912.

MADDERRA
Garrol Steven Madderra
Garrol Steven Madderra died in his Plymouth home Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at age 60.
Born March 31, 1943, in Benicia, Mr. Madderra had been a resident of Woodland for 18 years.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sutter Hill Adventist School, 12900 Ridge Rd., Sutter Creek, 95685. Arrangements are under the direction of Daneri Mortuary in Jackson.
Services: A graveside service scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2003, in Garden of Valor at Sunset View Cemetery in Jackson. Interment will follow the service.
MADDUX
Leland "Lee" A. Maddux
Leland "Lee" A. Maddux died in Woodland Sunday, July 20, 2003, at age 83.
Born May 2, 1920, in San Pedro, Mr. Maddux has been a Woodland resident for 42 years. He was the son of the late Effie and Eugene Maddux. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and met his wife in 1945 while stationed in Jacksonville, Fla. He retired from Cranston Brothers Hardware in 1985.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Maddux; daughter, Margie Williams of Woodland; and son, Scott Maddux and wife Terri of Rescue; grandchildren, Jason, Stefanie and Brian Williams, and Jeff and Kristin Maddux.
McNary's Chapel of Woodland assisted the family with the arrangements.
Services: A private service has already been held.
MADDY
Keith Thomas Maddy
Dr. Keith Thomas Maddy died on March 7, 2003, while at Sunrise Health Care Convalescent Hospital in Roseville. He was 79 years old.
He was born Oct. 28, 1923, in Marion County, Iowa, to Herman and Helen Maddy. He was one of four children. After his veterinary education, he went to work on an agricultural extension service veterinary project as an assistant professor in 1946 in Logandale, Nev. It was at this time he met and marriage Colleen Barlow.
During their marriage of more than 50 years, they raised six children, two boys and four girls. Dr. Maddy faithfully and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a captain in the Veterinary Corps. during the Korean conflict. He served in this capacity for approximately 20 years before retiring. He had a long and prestigious career in the field of veterinary medicine and owned his own pet clinic in Washington, D.C. While in D.C., he also worked for the World Health Organization. He and his family moved to Davis in 1972 where he continued in his profession as a doctor of veterinary medicine and was a professor emeritus at UC Davis.
He had many enjoyments in life. He especially enjoyed spending time with his wife and children. He and his wife took many trips together all over the country and Canada with their children. The two also went on several special trips throughout Europe and the Caribbean. He was described as a very devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his eldest daughter Kathleen, and his wife Colleen in August 1997. He is survived by his two sons Donald Maddy of Los Osos and Duane Maddy of Baltimore, Md., and three daughters; Dana Maddy of Sacramento; Danielle Abreos of Roseville and Lori Cruit of Santa Clarita. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Amanda Cristler, Crystal, Nick, Brianna and Michael Maddy, Maria and David Cruit and Alexus Abreos. She also leaves a brother Paul Maddy of Perry, Iowa, and two sisters, Joyce Maddy and Doris Shawyer-Maddy, of Knoxville, Iowa.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Davis Funeral Chapel, 116 D St. in Davis with burial to follow at the Davis Cemetery, 820 Pole Line Road in Davis. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Chapel.
