DACHTLER

Lucinda Euphrosyne Ehrke Dachtler

Lucinda Euphrosyne Ehrke Dachtler died at Woodland Memorial Hospital Thursday, May 27, 2004, at age 92.

Born Aug. 9, 1911 in Leonardsville Township, Minnesota, Mrs. Dachtler had been a Yolo County resident for 91 years. She attended Fillmore Elementary School, graduated from Woodland High School in 1929; 4-H leader, taught Sunday School at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, played saxophone in Woodland High School Band. She worked for JC Penney as sales clerk for 15 years.

Survivors include her children, Delores Amacher and Maryann Dachtler, both of Woodland, Andrew Dachtler of El Dorado Hills, Grandchildren: Susan Kauk of Yuba City, Gene Hickey III of Meridian, Michael Hickey of Sutter, Steven Amacher of Woodland, Julie Amacher, also of Woodland, Jason Dachtler of Tiburon, Amy Dachtler of Charlottesville, Va.; Great-grandchildren, Jason Kauk, of Yuba City, Kevin Kauk of Riverside, Nicole Hickey of Meridian, Gregory Dachtler of Tiburon, and Andy, Sam and Gabe Hickey, all of Sutter. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Dachtler.

The family requests memorials be directed to the charity of donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.

A funeral service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland, with a burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery.

DACHTLER

Robert J. Dachtler

Robert passed away peacefully Sunday morning at the age of 70. Robert graduated from Woodland High School in 1952 and served in the Army for two years. He was employed for 33 years by the old Weaver Tractor Company which became Golden State Tractor before his disability in 1984. He was a charter member of American Lutheran Church, a member of the Moose Lodge, and a member of the Carleton Club. He also was an avid golfer.

He was the beloved husband of Sarajane Dachtler, marriage for 49 years. He was a great father to his sons Dennis Dachtler of Folsom, Danny Dachtler of Davis, and David Dachtler of West Sacramento. He was loved by Dennis' wife, Susie Dachtler. His four grandchildren, Heather, Kyle, Leslie and Bryce adored and loved him.

He is survived by his brothers and their wives Clifford and Barbara Dachtler of Woodland and Darrel and Joann Dachtler of Great Falls, Idaho. His brother and sister-in-laws include Jerry and Susie Blickle, Warren and Wilma Sodeman of Grass Valley, and George and Betty Dixon of Woodland. He is also survived by his aunt Lorintina Winters of Woodland. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Caroline Dachtler, Sr.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. today, Wednesday, at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. A graveside service will be held at Monument Hill Memorial Park, on May 26, 2005 at 10 a.m. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Stollwood Convalescent Hospital, 135 Woodland Ave., Woodland, 95695.

DAHL

George Louis Dahl

George Louis Dahl died Nov. 2, 2001, at Stollwood Convalescent Hospital at the age of 80. Born Jan. 19, 1921, in Woodland to the late George and Clare Ulrich Dahl, he lived his whole life in Woodland.

He attended local schools and graduated from Woodland High School in 1940. He was involved in farming early in his adult life and later was employed for 25 years as a deputy assessor for Yolo County, retiring in 1983. He was a life member of the Woodland Elks Lodge No. 1299 and a past president of the Carlton Club.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Evelyn Dahl; daughters Lurae Bailey and husband Michael, and Marlise Dahl of Woodland; grandchildren Christopher Souza, Brenten Bailey, Jeremy Summers and Rance Nichols, all of Woodland, and Jennifer Bailey Smith and husband Aaron of Santa Rosa; great-grandchildren Kelesey Nicole and Trevor Louis Smith of Santa Rosa; sister June Jahn and husband Lowell, and sister-in-law Janice Dahl, all of Woodland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St. in Woodland. A funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the American Lutheran Church, 1114 College St. in Woodland. Interment will follow at Monument Hill Memorial Park.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, CA 95617, or Stollwood Convalescent Hospital, 135 Woodland Ave., Woodland, CA 95695.

McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

DAILY

Charles Edward Daily

Charles Edward Daily of Woodland, died on Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, at age 64.

Mr. Daily was born in Woodland to Elmer and Elnora Daily. He attended school in Woodland, Chico, Red Bluff, Corning, Esparto and Sacramento.

He was a star on his high school football team and played trumpet as a member of the high school band.

Mr. Daily proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Preble as a fire control technician from 1961 to 1965. He worked for the Dixon Radio Station for 12 1/2 years, and AT&T Sacramento Digital Switching for 12 1/2 years.

He later worked for C&K Systems/Honeywell Alarm Design in Folsom for several years. His hobbies include photography, videography, auto repair and home improvement.

Mr. Daily was a huge Sacramento Kings fan and also a lifelong San Francisco 49ers fan, according to his family.

Mr. Daily is survived by his wife Lourdes Daily; sons, Mark and Mike Daily; their mother Elizabeth Daily; his sisters, Susan Torguson and Nancy Spann; and his nieces Christie Naegele, Catie Eklund and Shelby Marcos.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Daily; his mother, Elnora Daily; and his niece Renee Torguson.

A rosary is scheduled to be said at 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 6, at Nicoletti, Culjis and Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento.

A funeral mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan 7, at All Hallows Church, at 5501 14th Ave., Sacramento.

Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Nicoletti, Culjis and Herberger Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

DALE

Jerry George Dale

Jerry George Dale of Placerville died at Sutter Memorial Hospital Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005 at age 68.

Mr. Dale was born Dec. 2, 1936 in Wichita, Kan. He had been a Woodland resident for 45 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957. He worked for 31 years in quality control for Mobil Chemical.

Survivors include Mr. Dale's wife of 11 years, Patricia Dale; his sons, Jerry Dale, Jimmy Dale, David Dale and his wife Kim; his stepdaughters, Lynn Matchke and Lori Cuevas; his stepson, Kirk Rock; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his sisters, Marlene Manoogian and her husband Leo of St. Louis and Vernetta Stark and her husband Les of Rough and Ready; his half-sister, Cheryl Bigger of Bakersfield; his twin brother, James Dale; and his stepfather, Walt Heer of Bakersfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Edith Dale and his stepson, Kerry Rock.

Services: A funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21 at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland with Pastor John Thorson officiating. A graveside service at Monument Hill Memorial Park will follow. A reception will follow the services at Willow Oak Hall, 17535 County Road 97, Woodland. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

DALLY

Merriel Dally

Merriel Dally died Oct. 5, 2004, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 86.

A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Dixon United Methodist Church, 209 N. Jefferson St. in Dixon. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home, 569 N. First St. in Dixon.

Born Oct. 26, 1917, in Sacramento, she was employed at UC Davis for seven years and was proud to be a homemaker.

Her first love was her family and home. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and traveled extensively throughout the United States. She was a member of Aurora Rebekah Lodge No. 246, Dixon Women's Improvement Club, Dixon Methodist Church, Winnebago International Travel Club and a charter member of Golden Bear Winnies.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Raymond Dally, who died in 1996; sisters, Cleo Albers, Gwen Spangler and Darlene Miller; a brother, Terrel Dally; and her infant grandson, Bert Elwin Dally.

She is survived by here daughter Marchelle Henderson and her husband Jim, of Woodland; son, Martin Dally of Dixon; sister, LaVerne Witt of Dixon; grandchildren, Julie Gall and her husband Dave of Woodland, Matthew Henderson and his wife Jennifer of Jackson, Miss., Aaron Dally and his wife Gwen of Carson City, Nev., Brian Dally and his wife Gina of Gardnerville, Nev., and Karen Dally of Chandler, Ariz.; and great-grandchildren, Haile and Ashtyn Gall, Jessica, Morgan and Brian Dally, and Anna Austin.

She is further survived by brothers-in-law Charles Witt, Karl Spangler and Chuck Albers.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to Yolo Hospice or the Dixon Methodist Church Building Fund.

DAMSEN

Vera E. Damsen

Vera E. Damsen died in Carmichael on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at age 83.

Born Oct. 3, 1920, in La Connor, Wash., Mrs. Damsen had been a Yolo County resident for 25 years. She was a waitress for 40 years. She worked the last few years at the Tamale Factory on Main Street in Woodland.

Survivors include her husband, John Damsen; children, Monte Axtell, Darlene Clark, Deanna De Maagd, Vicki O'Connor, and Vera Harper; sisters, Eleanor Herness, Molly Rice, Joanne Baker, and Mary Lou Isaacson; brothers, Mark Maynard and Ernie Maynard; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Dennis Jensen and Earl Robert Harper Jr.; sister, Anita Paulson; and brothers, George Maynard, Bob Maynard and Tom Maynard.

The family requests memorials be directed to American Lung Association. Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.

Services: A graveside service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland.
