Elmer George Davis
Elmer George Davis died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, at age 92.
Born Nov. 14, 1909, in Los Angeles, Mr. Davis was a member of United Nations Association, charter member of World Affairs Council of Northern California, Yolo County Historical Societies, Sacramento Book Collectors' Club, El Circulo Hispano, and was a member of Faith Presbyterian.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Lou Gayman of San Diego; brother, Gene Davis of Woodland; grandchildren, Peter Dunn, and Elizabeth Davis; stepchildren, Lucy Burrows of New York, James Grant of Louisiana, and William Grant of Virginia; step-grandchildren, Laura and Shawn Burrows; step-great-granddaughter, Gwendolyn; and companion, Elizabeth Gray.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Davis; sons, Robert and Donald Davis; parents, Marvin and Mary Davis of Esparto; and sister, Ruth King.
A memorial service was conducted Saturday, Jan. 19, at Faith Presbyterian Church, 625 Florin Road, Sacramento.

DAVIS
Geordell LaMar Davis
Geordell LaMar Davis died in Sacramento on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, at age 26.
Born Jan. 1, 1977, in Santa Ana, Mr. Davis had been a Yolo County resident for 16 years. He attended Zamora Elementary School, Lee Jr. High School, Woodland High School and Cache Creek High School. He was a self employed car restorer.
Survivors include his father, Robert Davis of Woodland; mother, Christine Lampkin, also of Woodland; daughter, La Shauna LaMar Davis; and son, Geordell LaMar Davis, both of Sacramento; fiancee, Sonjia Dean of Sacramento; brother, Jorell Davis, Jared Lampkin and Jerry (Dee) Lampkin, all of Woodland; sisters, Andrea McCrea and Yolanda Brooks, both of Texas; grandfather, Soloman Davis of Woodland. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Donzella Davis and grandfather, Jerry Wilson.
Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.
Services: Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. today Thursday, at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. A funeral service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, also at McNary's Chapel. Service will conclude at the chapel.
DAVIS
Gordon Edward Davis
Gordon Edward Davis died in Woodland on Saturday, Nov. 12 at age 85.
Mr. Davis was born Nov. 23, 1920 in Fortuna to Berte and Ethel (Fisher) Davis. He had been a Yolo County resident for 46 years. In 1939, he graduated from Fortuna High School. Three years later he joined the U.S. Navy and served as an aviation machinist's mate during World War II. He worked for the city of Davis as a landscape supervisor in the park department for 11 years. He was a member of the Yolo Bowman and a ham radio operator.
Survivors include Mr. Davis' wife of 38 years, Mabel (Goette) Davis of Woodland; his daughter, Judy Seaman of Lake Tahoe; his stepdaughters, Joann Dahl and Dee Kindelt of Woodland; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Roy Davis of Woodland and Less Davis of Dallas, Ore. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Edith Gilbert and Dorothy Thompson and his brothers, Jack and Ken Davis.
The family requests that memorials in Mr. Davis' name be directed to Hospice of Yolo County, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, 95617; or The American Cancer Society of Northern California, 1765 Challenge Way, Suite 115, Sacramento, 95815.
Services: Respecting the wishes of Mr. Davis, no services are scheduled. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
DAVIS
Kathy Anne Davis
Kathy Anne Davis died at the UCD Medical Center Sacramento following a two year battle with cancer Saturday, May 1, 2004, at age 41.
Born Jan. 14, 1963, in Ann Arbor, Mich., Ms. Davis has been a resident of Yolo County for 17 years and for the last 14 years, she was employed by Blue Cross of California in Woodland. She was a graduate of the University of Michigan at Dearborn in 1984 with a degree in sociology.
She is survived by her parents, Gordon and Kay Davis of Woodland; brother, Larry Davis of Woodland; sisters, Annette Davis of Woodland and Debbie Davis of Davis. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joanne Davis in 1980.
The family requests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Association. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Services: A memorial service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 6, at the Woodland Christian Church, 509 College St.
WAGGONER
Pauline Waggoner
Pauline Waggoner died Oct. 4, 2001, in Auburn. Born on July 19, 1917, in Trousdale, Kan., she was 84 years old.
She graduated from Trousdale High School in 1934 and marriage her husband Dale Waggoner on Aug. 25, 1940, in Kinsley, Kan. They came to Los Angeles in 1940. She worked as a U.S. postal clerk from 1966 to 1976 and then retired in Davis, where she lived for 25 years. She was a member of the Davis Widows Group for the past 10 years. She had been a resident of Auburn for one year.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Willis of Meadow Vista, her granddaughter Heather Tattershall of Sacramento and grandson Wayne Tattershall of Santa Rosa. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dale.
Following cremation, her ashes will be scattered at sea. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
WAGNER
Anna Mae Rankin Wagner
Anna Mae Rankin Wagner died at Woodland Memorial Hospital Saturday, April 2, 2005 at age 84.
Mrs. Wagner was born July 28, 1920 in Warren County, Ill. to the late Charles and Elizabeth Rankin. She had been a Sutter County resident for 55 years and a homemaker all her adult life.
Survivors include Mrs. Wagner's husband, Philip Wagner of Sacramento; her daughter, Pam Wagner of Sacramento; her son, Paul Wagner of Yuba City; her grandson, Todd and his wife Michelle; her great-granddaughter, Serena all of Ione; her sisters, Frances Overstreet of Cantril, Iowa and Mildred Whitaker of La Grange, Ky. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Madeline Stice and her brother, Dale Rankin.
The family requests memorials in Mrs. Wagner's name be directed to the local animal shelter or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Services: A funeral is scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday, April 8 at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. Interment will be at the Raritan Cemetery in Raritan, Ill. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
WAGNER
Mary A. Wagner
Mary A. Wagner died Jan. 1, 2004, at Covell Gardens in Davis, where she had lived since 1995. Born on Oct. 5, 1907, she was 96.
Born and raised in Chicago, she graduated from Northwestern University in 1930 and worked as a medical social worker following graduation. After moving to Sterling, Ill., in 1953, she was active in many civic affairs, serving six years on the Community Chest Board, as president of the Sterling Parent Faculty Association and for 13 years as public education chairman of the Whiteside County Department of Public Aid.
After retirement, she became interested in genealogy, studying one summer at the University of Connecticut. She was a longtime member of Rock River Country Club in Sterling and served as its Lady's Golf chairwoman and chairwoman of publicity. She was an election judge for Precinct 11. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sterling, the Republican Women's Club, Northwestern University Alumni Association, Chi Omega sorority and the YWCA.
She was the beloved wife of the late Franklin C. Wagner, D.D.S. and, following his death, the enduring companion of Louis Marks. She is survived by her son, Franklin C. Wagner Jr., M.D. of El Macero and Chicago and his wife, Sarah. She was the dear grandmother of Megan Bouhamama and Andrew Wagner of San Francisco, and Rachel Wagner of Lake Oswego, Ore. She leaves one great-grandson, Sadiq Bouhamama of San Francisco.
