Bernice May Wallace
Bernice May Wallace died Oct. 22, 2001, in the Stollwood Convalescent Hospital. Born in Jacobsburg, Ohio, on March 16, 1910, to Samuel O. and Louella L. Ramsay, she was 91.
She moved to Woodland in 1989. She lived in Riverside for 10 years prior to that, but spent most of her life in Bellaire, Ohio, where she and her husband Irwin raised their family. While living in Woodland she was a member of the First Nazarene Church. In Riverside she was a member of the Magnolia Avenue Baptist Church, and in Ohio she was a member of the South Bellaire Methodist Church, where she served as a board member and sang in the choir.
She loved to travel with her husband to several different churches, where he sang for more than 25 years. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.
She is survived by her children, Marilyn Thomas and husband Leonard of Woodland, Robert Wallace and wife Marcia of Fairfield Glades, Tenn., and Carolene Cook and husband John of Woodland; and her grandchildren, Carol Spivey and husband Ron of San Jose, Anne Bullinger and husband Steve of Boston, Scott Wallace and wife Amy of Williamsburg, Va., Bruce Wallace of Fairfield Glades, Tenn., Rene Reed and husband Andy of Mission Viejo, Shelly Cook, Alisa Viejo and Andrea Howell and husband Jeff of Sacramento.
She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Amanda and Alyssa Spivey of San Jose and Christopher Howard and Jenna Reed of Mission Viejo; and her sister Eula Neff of Jacobsburg, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband Irwin Woods Wallace in 1992, as well as three sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at McNary's Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. at McNary's Chapel, with interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
WALLACE
Delbert G. Wallace
Delbert G. Wallace died on March 4, 2000, in his Davis home. Born on May 28, 1920, in Detroit, he was 79.
He has been a resident of Davis since 1998 and was a resident of San Jose from 1961 to 1998.
He was an elevator constructor for some 36 years with the Haughton Elevator Co. Later, he was a National Association Elevator Safety Authorities member and conducted elevator safety inspections for the McDonald Elevator Co. He was active in leadership with the Boy Scouts of America and a member of the Spinnaker Yacht Club of San Leandro.
He is survived by his wife of almost 55 years, Bette; his four sons, Kim Wallace of Davis and his wife Sandy, John Wallace of San Jose and his friend Carol, Del Wallace of San Jose and his fiancee Jane, and Randy Wallace of San Jose and his wife Meg; four grandchildren; and many friends and relatives. A celebration of his life will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday in the family home in Davis.

Mabel Wallace
Mrs. Mabel Wallace Dead
Mrs. Mabel Wallace died in Napa last Saturday (19 November 1910) and was buried
in Winters today.
She was a native of Yolo county, and 32 years of age. She was a sister of Mrs. Myrtle McQuistion, of Pennsylvania, and a half-sister to Mrs. George Maxwell of this city. She was also a cousin of Charles and Hardie Miller of this county. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Miller, died several years ago.
About eight years ago she was marriage at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Cox, west of Woodland to William Wallace, who survives her. She also leaves a son Earl, 8 years of age.
WALLINDER Sr.
Richard L. Wallinder Sr.
A memorial service to honor the life of Richard L. Wallinder Sr. will be held Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Church of Davis, 27074 Patwin Road. Wallinder died suddenly June 3, 2000, while participating in a sporting event. He was 70.
Born in Minneapolis, Minn., he was a resident of Davis for 22 years. He was a secondary school teacher in the Sacramento City Unified School District for 30 years and retired in 1991.
He was involved with many sports activities, including the Davis Bike Club, the Davis Athletic Club Masters Swim Program and hiking for the American Lung Association. He toured Europe on his bicycle in the summer of 1998.
He also served as a volunteer for the U.C. Davis Raptor Center and later, the Craft Center. He greatly enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening, music, photography and his cats.
He is survived by Nancy, his wife of 50 years; his sons Richard Jr., Mark, Lee and Lee's wife Shellie; his grandchildren Tim, Peter and Sarah; and his brother James P. Wallinder and his wife Betty of Danville.
A cremation was facilitated by the Davis Funeral Chapel.
WALSH
David James Walsh
David James Walsh died on Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at Woodland Memorial Hospital.
Born in San Francisco on Oct. 9, 1914, to James Thomas Walsh and Eva Irene Olds, Mr. Walsh was an ironworker by trade. He belonged to Ironworkers Union Local 790. He lived in Woodland for the last 47 years.
Survivors include his wife Eleanor H. Walsh; son Philip Walsh and his wife and children Linda, Steven and Brian Walsh; stepdaughters, Mignon Marks and her husband Mike Keesee, and Stephanie Rudig and her husband and children Charles, Nathan and Matthew. He was preceded in death by wives, Kathleen L. Mitchell, Katherine A. Eckart, and Pauline M. Goodell; brother, James M. Walsh; and sisters, Katie Brownell and Betsy O'Hara.
Services: There are no services. Arrangements were made by Nautilus Society of Sacramento.

Patricia Ann Walters
Patricia Ann Walters passed away on Friday, Jan. 12, 2001 in her home in Winters. She was born on Dec. 27, 1941 in Vacaville. She was 59.
Patricia worked with the Lions Center for the blind for 20 years and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Vacaville and St. Anthony in Winters.
She was preceded in death by her father, Snooky Walters in 1957.
She is survived by her mother, Rose Walters Pearse of Winters, her stepfather, Charles C. Pearse of Winters, her four brothers, Joe Walters and his wife, Sharon and Mike Walters, all of Vacaville, Tim Walters and his wife Leslie and Tom Pearse and his wife, Justine, all of Winters; sister, Kathleen Ford and her husband John of Kenwood; her niece, Ashley Walters of Vacaville and her two nephews, Tim and Nick Walters of Winters. She is also survived by numerous cousins and other relations.
Friends were invited to a time of visitation on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Smith’s Colonial Chapel and a funeral service on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Third and Main streets, in Winters. Interment will follow at the Vacaville Elmira Cemetery in Vacaville.

Agnes Cecilia Schroff Walton
Agnes Cecilia Schroff Walton died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004 at Sutter Davis Hospital at age 84.
Mrs. Walton was born in Ojai Dec. 14, 1919, to the late George and Margaret Lynch Schroff and was a graduate of Nordoff High School in Ojai. She had been a homemaker and resident of Ventura County for most of her life.
Survivors include Mrs. Walton's daughters, Margaret Walton of Woodland, Karen McBride, Ann Romero and Jennifer Petree, all of Ventura; her grandchildren, Gina Robinson and her husband Mitch of Woodland, Michelle Cecchini and her husband Rick Rudman of Aptos, Lt. Col. Robert A. Cecchini USMC and his wife Marianne of Weston, Fla., Amy Cecchini-Coe and her husband Jeff of El Dorado Hills, John McBride of Wilbraham, Mass., Eric McBride of Hemet, Jamie McBride of Newberry Park, Shane McBride, Elizabeth Duran, John and Anthony Romero, Kari Robinson and Caitlin, Andrew, Douglas and Sara Petree, all of Ventura; her great-grandchildren, Cory, Kara and Kaylen Robinson of Woodland; Milo Rudman of Aptos; Tyler and Shelby Cecchini of Weston, Fla., Dante and Giovanni Cecchini-Coe of El Dorado Hills; Claire and James McBride of Wilbraham, Mass., EJ and Michelle McBride of Hemet, Jackie and Toni McBride of Newberry Park, Joseph and Marissa Duran, Mikayla Robinson, and Rylee Ann Romero, all of Ventura; her great-great-granddaughter, Chloe Lynn Robinson of Woodland; great-great-step-granddaughter, Skyler Sharp of Woodland; her sisters, Grace Murdoch of Canoga Park and Kathryn Lynch of Fresno and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John Gordon Walton, her parents and her brother, George Schroff.
The family requests memorials in Mrs. Walton's name be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
Services: A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 11 a.m. today, Saturday, at Sacred Heart Church in Ventura. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
