Glenna Beatrice Sorenson
Glenna Beatrice Sorenson died at her Woodland home on Jan. 28, 2005, at age 72.
Mrs. Sorenson was born June 4, 1932 in Hayden, Arizona. She resided in Yolo County for the past 54 years. A homemaker for more than 50 years, she was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, as well as both the Foursquare Church and Crossroads Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include Mrs. Sorenson's husband, Edward Sorenson, of Woodland; daughters Judy Garcia of Woodland and Starla Heaney of San Francisco; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services: Visitation for Mrs. Sorenson will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005 at Crossroads Full Gospel Church, 386 W. Beamer St. Graveside services will be officiated by Rev. John Hudnall and will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005 at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 County Road 22.
The family requests memorial donations are to be made to Yolo Hospice.

Glenna Beatrice (Flowers) Sorenson passed away in her Woodland home surrounded by her loving family. Glenna suffered from many life-long illnesses and is blessed to be at peace.
Glenna was born June 4, 1932 in Hayden, Ariz. to the late Carl and Nellie Flowers. She was a homemaker and lived in Yolo County for most of her adult life.
She is a past member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary of Woodland and was an avid craft maker.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Edward Sorenson of Woodland; daughters, Judy Garcia and her husband Ruben of Woodland, Starla Heaney and her husband Paul of San Francisco, and her mother-in-law, Rea Sorenson of Woodland. Grandchildren, Sonia Garcia of Woodland, Tanya Garcia and her companion Allen Roberts of Woodland, Shaun Fitzgerald of Wannaska, Minn., Ruben Garcia and his companion Jessica Walpole of Davis, Casey Fitzgerald and his wife Blessing of Mililani, Hawaii, Cassidy Garcia of Woodland, Astrid Cebollero and her husband Mike of Grass Valley and Eric Heaney of Auburn. Great-grandchildren, Aaron Valadez, Joseph and Gabriel Macharro, Alenna and Junior Roberts all of Woodland, Ceana Fitzgerald of Mililani, Hawaii and Brianna and Garrett Cebollero of Grass Valley, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Nellie Flowers of Woodland; son, Thomas Dickey of Tacoma, Wash.; brothers, Clifford Flowers and his wife Francis of Reedley, OC Flowers and his wife Darlene of Bisbee, Ariz., Carl Flowers of Texas, Don Flowers of Pueblo, Colo.; sisters, Onetta Huerta and her husband Pat of Woodland, Billie Flowers of Oklahoma and sister-in-law, Cora Flowers of Fresno.
A visitation and viewing will be held at the Cross Roads Church (small Chapel), 386 W. Beamer St., Woodland on Wednesday, Feb. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, Feb. 3 at 10 a.m. at Monument Hill Cemetery. Evergreen Services is assisting the family with arrangements.

SOTO
Jesse Soto
Jesse Soto died in Salem, Ore., Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004 at age 56.
Mr. Soto was born Dec. 17, 1947 in El Paso, Texas and had been a Yolo County resident for 16 years. He was a 1966 graduate of Esparto High School and graduated from Sacramento State University in 1974. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany and later was a sergeant in the Oregon National Guard. He was a teacher in the Woodburn School District in Oregon for 29 years.
Survivors include Mr. Soto's wife of 22 years, Karen; his daughters, Kaly Soto of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Kirstin Soto of Portland, Ore., Megan Soto of Eugene, Ore. and Erin Soto of Salem, Ore.; his son Lindsay Soto of Salem, Ore.; his mother, Rafaela Powers of Acampo; his sister, Maria Jett of Woodland; his niece Dusty Russell of Graham, Wash. and his former wife Gloria Pena of Salem, Ore. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Russell Powers, and a brother, Ruben Munoz.

Services: Visitation is scheduled for 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at the Virgil T. Golden Funeral Home, 605 Commercial St. S.E., Salem, Ore. A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11 at Morning Star Community Church, 4775 27th Ave. S.E., Salem, Ore. Interment will be at Rest Lawn Memory Gardens, 201 Oak Grove N.W., Salem, Ore. Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Angelo Anthony Sottosanti
Angelo Anthony Sottosanti of Davis died Jan. 28, 2004, at Sutter Davis Hospital. He was 86.
Born in Williamsport, Pa., June 21, 1917, he grew up in New York state. He worked as an artist, living for many years in San Francisco before moving to Yolo County five years ago.
He was preceded in death by his close friend Arnold Patnaude.
He is survived by his nieces, Laraine Mancuso of New York City and Diane Carroll of Flushing, N.Y., and nephews, Gabriel Mancuso of New Jersey and Charles Freelander of San Diego.
No services are planned. His ashes were returned to his family.
North Sacramento Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
SOULE
Alice Louise Magnant Soule
Alice Louise Magnant Soule died at Alderson's Convalescent Hospital, Woodland Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at age 91.
Born June 7, 1912, in Franklin, Vt., Mrs. Soule had lived in Woodland since 1995. Prior to that, she had visited Woodland many times. She was a graduate of Bridgewater State College and took postgraduate courses at Boston University. She taught first grade in Quincy, Mass. She was a member of The Church on the Cape, The Hospital Auxiliary, The Retired Teachers Association and The Republican Committee.
Survivors include her children, Martha Estey of Delray Beach, Fla., Barbara Palmer and her husband Bill of Woodland, Charles Soule and his wife Sharon of Kennebunkport, Maine, Walter Soule and his wife Diane of Bolton, Mass., and Kathryn Silva and her husband John of Holliston, Mass.; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and brother, L. Charles Magnant and his wife, Betty of York, Maine, and Highland Beach, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lewis Soule; and her sister, Blanche Hanninen.

4-month-old Ashley Soulier dies
Funeral services were held last Friday for Ashley Diane Soulier, four-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Soulier of Woodland, formerly of Winters.
Ashley died November 12, 1986 at Woodland Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her parents; brother, Gene Soulier IV of Woodland; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Cyr of Woodland; paternal grandfather, Eugene Soulier Jr. of Lake Tahoe, Nevada; paternal grandmother, Lee Buckman of Nevada; maternal great-grandmothers, Sylvia Still of Woodland and Helen Cyr of Anderson; paternal great grandmothers, Laura Mann and Erma Soulier, both of Woodland.
SOULIER
Ralph Soulier
Ralph Soulier of Rumsey died at Sutter Memorial in Sacramento on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at age 78.
Mr. Soulier was born March 16, 1927 in Delano to Ralph and Angelina Soulier. He had been a Yolo County resident for 75 years. After 35 years of employment, he retired from Contadina.
Survivors include Mr. Soulier’s sisters, Charlotte Apodaca and Virginia Wuest, both of Woodland and Gloria Lucero of Elk Grove; his brothers, Chenie “Senobeo” Soulier of Woodland and Robert Soulier of Winters; his niece, Lorraine Apodaca and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Florence Aguilar, Henrietta Gutierrez and Marie Losoya; and his brother, Eugene Soulier.
A funeral was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 20 at McNary’s Chapel in Woodland. Interment was at St. Joseph’s cemetery.
SOUTH
Marvelle J. South
Marvelle J. South died at Live Oak Manor, Live Oak on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at age 82.
Born April 12, 1921, in Effingham, Ill., Mrs. South had been a Yolo County resident for 20 years. She attended grade and high school in Illinois. She was a homemaker and was employed as a bookkeeper. She was a member of two bridge clubs.
Survivors include her children, Bobbie Parker and husband Stan of Oroville, Jan South and wife Sue of Midland, Texas, and Beverly Wiker and husband Cresson of Bella Vista, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Eugene W. South.
The family requests memorials be directed to Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.
Services: A private funeral service is scheduled at Neoga Memorial Cemetery, Neoga, Ill.
