Patricia Ellen "Pat" Martin died Friday, March 7, 2003. Her age was not reported.
Mrs. Martin was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Winters.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, John R. Martin; children, Marianne and Tim Washabaugh, John Martin, Tom Martin and Joanne and Sean Knudson; grandchildren, Jacob, Carrie, Adam, Ashleigh, Trisha, Johnny, Richard, Daniel, Olivia and Thomas; great-granddaughter, Lexi; sister, Annette Pastorino and brother, Tim Holman.
The family requests memorials be directed to USC/Norris Comprehensive Center, 1441 Eastlake Ave.. Rm. 8302, Los Angeles, 90089.
Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Colonial Chapel, Winters.
Services: Visitation was held Tuesday, March 11, at Smith Colonial Chapel on Main Street in Winters. A funeral service is scheduled at 10 a.m. today Wednesday, March 12 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 301 Main St., Winters.

Ramona Roth Martin
Ramona Roth Martin dies in Antioch
Ramona Roth Martin died March 5, 1991, in Antioch at the age of 77.
A native of Woodland, she moved to Winters as a child where she attended Apricot Grammar School and one year at Winters High School before returning to Woodland where she graduated from Holy Rosary Academy in 1931.
Mrs. Martin attended business and beauty school participating in both fields before beginning a 25-year career in 1940 in racing horses throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Between 1944 and 1945 she took time out to work with the Army Engineers in Alaska during the war.
After leaving Alaska, Mrs. Martin and her husband bought a ranch in Republic, Washington, where they resided for a number of years before returning to California where she worked in a certified public accountant office in Tracy.
In 1973 Mrs. Martin moved to Antioch where she remained until her death. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem, and Native Daughters of the Golden West.
Mrs. Martin is survived by two brothers, Theodore Roth and Chester Roth; a sister-in-law, Arline Roth; and a nephew, William H. Roth, all of Woodland.
No services will be held. Cremation will be by the Neptune Society and the ashes will be scattered over San Francisco Bay.

Sheila Lois Martin
Sheila Lois Martin died at Palm Gardens in Woodland after a long struggle with multiple sclerosis on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002 at the age of 61. Mrs. Martin was born in Ohio on July 2, 1941 to the late Lou and Margaret Doherty.
Mrs. Martin was a Yolo County resident for 28 years. She worked as a medical technologist at Yolo General Hospital from 1978 to 1990 and then at Kaiser Hospital and American River Hospital. Mrs. Martin was an avid reader, said her family.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband Travis L. Martin of Woodland; children, Ali McGuire of Albuquerque, N.M., Patricia Martin and Robert Martin, both of Sacramento; and grandson Brandon McGuire of Albuquerque. Also surviving her are her sisters, Diana Williams and Margo Doherty, both of Georgia, as well as, sister-in-law, Dardanilla Gummelt and brother-in-law Troy Martin, both of Texas.
Respecting the wishes of Mrs. Martin, private family services were held at McNary's Chapel. Interment will be at the San Joaquin National Cemetery in Gustine.

Andrea Dolores Martinez
Andrea Dolores Martinez died Thursday evening, Oct. 28, 1999, at Sierra Health Care in Davis. She was born Nov. 13, 1913, in Woodland, California. She was 85-years-old.
Mrs. Martinez was a homemaker and had lived in Yolo County her entire life. She was also a life-long member of St. James Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing and crafts during her free time.
Mrs. Martinez was preceded in death by her parents, the late Jesus and Lucy Pena, and her husband, Jose Martinez, who passed away in 1986, also, her granddaughter, Karen Martinez and sisters, Clara Raubach and Juanita Huitt. She was a member of an old Pioneer family, the Vaca-Pena family, who settled in the Vacaville area during the late 1800s.
Mrs. Martinez is survived by her sons, Anthony Martinez and wife Phyliss and Tom Martinez and wife Juanita; daughter Dolores Dumont and husband William Kelly; brother Tom Pena; sister Narcissa Pena; grandchildren Terri Martinez, Tom Martinez, Joey Martinez, Katherine Luther, Patricia Dumont, Lori Martinez and Rebecca Estrada; eight-great-grandchildren; nephews Ed Raubach, Jesse Raubach, John Raubach, Larry Huitt, Michael Huitt, Leo Huitt and Patrick Huitt and many grand nieces and nephews.
Family and friends were invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. The visitation was held at the church on Monday, Nov. 1, between 7 and 9 p.m., with the Rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m. The Rite of Committal took place at the Davis Cemetery. The family will receive flowers.

Chris Martinez
Chris Martinez, a lifelong Winters resident, died unexpectedly of heart failure on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at his home in Winters. Born on October 4, 1949 in Woodland, California, he was 55 years old.
Mr. Martinez was raised in Winters and graduated from Winters High School. He worked on the family ranch in Winters for many years, driving all over Northern California as a parts runner. He had made many friends in the towns that he went to get the parts needed for the ranch. He was described as an avid sports fan and never missed any sporting event at Winters High School. He was also an avid fan of UC Davis Athletics.
Family and friends say Mr. Martinez never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone; he was an icon of the Winters Community and was well liked by all; he had a great sense of humor and was quick to make a teasing comment, often bringing laughter and joy to all he interacted with; he will be greatly missed by the Winters Community.
He is survived by his brothers Joseph R. Martinez and wife Shelly, Emilio R. Martinez, and Antonio Martinez and wife Frances, all of Winters; niece Rosemary Martinez of Clear Lake, and nephews Joseph Martinez, Ryan Martinez, and Brett Martinez, all of Winters.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cristobal and Isabel Martinez, and his nephew Christopher F. Martinez.
A memorial service was planned for Wednesday, March 16, at 6:30 p.m. at Gateway Chapel. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Mr. Martinez’ name to the Winters Healthcare Foundation, PO Box 367, Winters, California, 95694.
The staff of Davis Funeral Chapel extends their condolences to Mr. Martinez’ family, and considered him their friend. He was always quick to help them out by unloading flowers at the church or cemetery, and of course, straightening their ties. Funerals in Winters will not be the same without him. We miss you, Chris.

Crystal Renee De Leon Martinez
Crystal Renee De Leon Martinez died unexpectedly in Sacramento Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, at age 25.
Born Oct. 19, 1976, in Pomona, Mrs. Martinez was a resident of Yolo County for 15 years. She was a 1994 Woodland High School graduate. She attended American River College in Sacramento. She was a manager for Checkmate Staffing for six years. Among her special joys in life were her daughter and husband. According to her family members
“she loved sewing and knitting projects for her daughter.”
Mrs. Martinez is survived by her husband, Alejandro Martinez; daughter, Alexys Unika Martinez, both of Davis; parents, Marcos and Margarita Garcia of Woodland; sisters, Angela Vidalez and husband Rene and Marlyn Garcia and husband Raymond Echavarria Sr., all of Woodland; grandparents, Alfredo and Senida Rodriguez of Davis, Carlos and Eufielda Contreras of Woodland and Martin and Margarita Garcia of Mexico; nephews, Angel Garcia and Ray Echavarria Jr. of Woodland; and numerous aunts; uncles and cousins.
A vigil service is scheduled at 8 p.m., today Thursday, Jan. 10, at Holy Rosary Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland.
A funeral mass is scheduled at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 11, also at Holy Rosary Church with interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Christopher F. "Chris" Martinez
Chris Martinez, a lifelong resident of Winters, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at U. C. Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, from cancer. Born on Dec. 11, 1965 in Sacramento to Tony and Frances Martinez, he was 37 years old.
Chris attended school in Dixon and graduated from Dixon High School. He worked for several years for Wells Fargo Bank as an ATM repairman. His last employment was with AT&T in the collections division.
Chris is survived by his parents, Tony and Frances Martinez of Winters, his brother Joe Martinez of Winters and his sister Rosemarie Martinez of Clearlake. Chris also leaves numerous other relatives.
The rosary was held on Monday, April 14 at Smith's Colonial Chapel. the funeral mass was celebrated on Tuesday, April 15 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial followed at the Winters Cemetery.
