Primitivo Barrera
Primitivo Barrera died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at age 78.
Born July 1, 1925, in McQueenie, Texas, Mr. Barrera had been a Yolo County resident for 53 years. He attended school in Texas and worked for Concrete Products. He was a corporal in Marine Corp during World War II from 1943 to 1946.
Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Barrera; daughters, Theresa and Laura Barrera; sons, George and wife Kathy, Edmond and wife Kris; seven grandchildren; sisters, Isabel Duran, Rose Gloria; and brothers, Paul, James, Richard, Barrera. He was preceded in death by his parents, Primitivo and Isabel Barrera; and two brothers.
The family requests memorials be directed to Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.
Services: A rosary is scheduled at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, at McNary's Chapel, Woodland. A funeral mass is scheduled at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 22, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland, with a graveside service to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Woodland.
BERTLESON
Helen Moya Bertleson
Helen Moya Bertleson died in her Esparto home Saturday, July 6, 2002, at age 80.
Born Nov. 10, 1921, in Esparto, Mrs. Bertleson had been a resident of Yolo County for her entire life. She was a graduate of Woodland High School in 1939. She was a bookkeeper for Woodland Plumbing & Hardware for over 30 years and for Modern Plumbing for over 10 years. According to her family members, "she enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling."
Mrs. Bertleson is survived by her husband, Don Bertleson of Esparto; brothers, Johnny and wife Dellamae Moya of Red Bluff, Jimmy and wife LaDonna Moya of Woodland; and sisters, Louise and husband Gerald Gale and Margaret Smith of Woodland.
She is also survived by her nephews, John Smith of Dunnigan, James and wife Kelley Smith of Hamilton City, Joe and wife Pam Gale of Woodland, Johnny Moya of Westwood, Matt Moya of Woodland; nieces, Minda and husband Phil Cummings of Burney, Joy and husband Eli Rodriguez of Atascadero, and three great-nieces; and eight great-nephews.
Mrs. Bertleson was preceded in death by her parents, John and Catherine Moya of Yolo; and brother-in-law, Roland Smith of Woodland; and nephew, Michael Smith of New Orleans, La.
Respecting the wishes of Mrs. Bertleson no services are scheduled.

BOATMAN
Troy Eugene Boatman
Rev. Troy Eugene Boatman died at Courtyard Healthcare in Davis on Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at age 81.
Born March 11, 1922, in Mountain Park, Okla., Rev. Boatman had been a Yolo County resident for 44 years. He was a minister in Woodland for more than 30 years.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Inez Boatman of Woodland; children, Jerry Boatman and wife Nadean of Reno, Nev., Kenneth Boatman and wife Sharon of Sacramento, Janice Boatman-Remick and husband Frank of Yerington, Nev., Michael Boatman of Woodland, Randy Boatman and wife Lisa of Sacramento; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.
A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, March 24, at The Crossroads Church, Beamer Street and County Road 98. Burial will take place at Monument Hill Memorial Park immediately following the funeral.
BOATNER
Raymond Leon Boatner
Raymond Leon Boatner of Esparto died in Marion, Ill. Monday, Jan. 17, 2005 at age 68.
Mr. Boatner was born March 9, 1936 in Caraway, Ark. He had been a Yolo County resident for most of his adult life. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for 28 years as a merchant seaman. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge of Woodland.
Survivors include Mr. Boatner's daughters, Deborah Isaacs of West Springford, Ill. and Lorrie Quist of Reno, Nev.; his grandchildren Charles Clagg, Katie Isaacs and Sheena and Nicholas Rose and his brother, Sylvester. He was preceded in death by his son, Raymond; his parents, his sisters, Martha and Wilma and his brother, Louie.
The family requests memorials in Mr. Boatner's name be directed to The American Heart Association, 1710 Gilbreth Road, Burlingame, 94010.
BOBO
Jack Laurel Bobo
Jack Laurel Bobo died Dec. 11, 2000, at Woodland Memorial Hospital. Born July 14, 1927, in Grimes, Okla., to Charles and Anna Childers Bobo of Texas, he was 73.
He joined the U.S. Navy in February 1945 and served his country honorably for 20 years, retiring in 1964 as a chief petty officer. He had seen action in several wars, including World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War.
A 20-year resident of Yolo County, he worked as the paint department manager at Davis Lumber & Hardware in Davis for 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Marion Elizabeth (Gray) Bobo on Nov. 8, 2000, his brother, Raymond Bobo of Salinas, and his grandson, Clayton C. Bobo of Davis.
He is survived by his sons, Russell W. Bobo and his wife Justine of Sacramento, Michael A. Evans and his wife Robyn of Woodland, and Jack L. Bobo Jr. and wife Sue of Rogue River, Ore.
He is also survived by his daughters, Sandra Jean Bobo Roberts of Ontario, Canada, and Bambi Bobo of Texas; a stepson, Harold R. Smith of Sacramento; and a sister, Nancy Bobo Janson and her husband Phil of Reno, Nev.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Patrick, Richard, Brandon and Christina Bobo of Citrus Heights; Russell W. Bobo Jr. and Michael Nelson of West Sacramento; Charlie and Carol Bobo of Rogue River, Ore.; Tara Smith Tasheira of Modesto; and Melissa Smith Foust of Hawaii; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled for today at 5 p.m. at Kraft Bros. Chapel in Woodland. A service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Kraft Bros. Private interment will follow at a later date, at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Salinas.

BOBO
Marion Elizabeth Gray Bobo
Marion Elizabeth Gray Bobo died Nov. 8, 2000, in Salinas. Born Aug. 7, 1940, in St. Louis, she was 60 years old.
Her parents were Mary Kessler and Dorian Gray. Her stepfather was Don Kessler and her stepmother was Ethylene Gray.
She had lived in Davis for 17 years and Salinas for the last three years. She worked as a former in-home care provider, and enjoyed playing bingo and collecting Avon products and teapots.
She is survived by her husband, Jack L. Bobo of Salinas; and her children, Harold Smith of Sacramento, Russell Bobo and his wife Michele of West Sacramento, Billy Bobo of Salinas, Donald Bobo and his wife Justine of Sacramento, Michael Evans and his wife Robyn of Woodland, Virginia Smith of Idaho and Sheryl Ann Smith of Orangeville.
She is also survived by her brother, Russell Gray of Sacramento; and her sister, Stella Albanez and her husband Alfred of Salinas; grandchildren, Patrick, Richard and Brandon Bobo of Citrus Heights, Christine Bobo of Sacramento, Russell Bobo Jr. and Michael Nelson of West Sacramento, Tara Tasheira of Modesto and Melissa Foust of Hawaii; her great-grandchild, Cierra Tasheira of Modesto. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Clayton Bobo.
BODINE
Donna M. Bodine
Longtime Davis resident Donna May Bodine died Jan. 1, 2003, in her home. She was 68 years old.
Born on Aug. 20, 1934, in Parkston, S.D., to Nicholas and Martha Boehmer, she was one of six children. She moved to Anaheim in 1964 with her husband Charles and five children. After the death of her husband in 1977, she moved to Davis and worked as a teacher's aide at Holy Rosary School in Woodland.
Also a member of St. James Catholic Church, she was a much loved and respected member of the community. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bodine.
She is survived by her children, Sue Bodine of Boston, Mass., Bryan Bodine of Fullerton, Geri Cox of Chino Hills, Robert Bodine of Dixon, Bradley Bodine of Reno. Nev., Rodney Bodine of Davis and Brett Bodine of Sherwood, Ore.
She is further survived by her brothers, Patrick, Norman and Norbert Boehmer, all of Parkston, S.D.; sisters, Sr. Mariella Boehmer of St. James, Minn., and Joanne Omafray of Mobridge, S.D.; grandchildren, Kristen and Kevin Cox and Bayley, Bridgett, Emily, Bethaney and Benjamin Bodine; and more than 100 nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a rosary service Monday at 7 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Chapel, 116 D St. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 14th and B streets in Davis.
