BOYER

Bernard John Boyer

Bernard John Boyer died of natural causes in Woodland Sunday, July 28, 2002, at age 87.

Born July 17, 1915, in West Point, Neb., Mr. Boyer was the son of the late Bernard John "Ben" Boyer and Matilda Mack. He graduated from Guardian Angeles High School and marriage Algarda Kleeman on Feb. 4, 1937. He had been a nine year resident of Woodland, retiring here to spend time with his family.

For many years they made their home in West Point where they owned and operated Boyer Furniture Co. He served actively on the city council. They enjoyed a 30 year residence in Las Vegas where he worked with the Operating Engineers Local Union No. 12, at the Nevada Nuclear Test site, retiring after 40 years in construction. According to his family members "he loved to hunt, fish, camp and travel. He was a hard working family man and gifted craftsman with multi-facet talent, especially with anything mechanical." After retiring to Yolo County, he enjoyed gardening and sharing time with his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Boyer is survived by his daughters, Judy Boyer and husband Joe Johnson of Woodland, and Janice Phillips and husband Clark of Auburn; and sons, James Boyer of Reno and John F. Boyer and wife Toni.

He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and his sister, Dorothy Wangberg of Phoenix, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Boyer was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Algarda Boyer; daughter, Joan Schwartze; brothers, Frank and Leo Boyer; and sisters, Lois Ellerman, Mary Ann Turner, Ada Hultberg and Catherine Underwood.

Visitation is scheduled from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at Kraft Bros. Funeral Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland, with a funeral service to begin at 10 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Monument Hill Memorial Park. Deacon Edward Kull will be officiating.

The family requests memorials be directed to the charity of the donor's choice, in his behalf.

Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.

CLINE

Dorothea Cline

Dorothea Cline died in Linda Vista Care Center, in Ashland, Ore., Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at age 84.

Born Dec. 31, 1917, in Napa, Mrs. Cline had been a Woodland resident for 30 years before moving to Oregon in 1995. She was a member and past worthy matron in the Order of the Eastern Star. According to her family members, "she enjoyed volunteering with the Episcopal Church, sewing, reading and playing cards. Her other joys were spending time at the ocean, deep-sea fishing in Trinidad, and collecting African violets."

Mrs. Cline is survived by her son, Harvard Holley of East Sound, Wash.; daughter, Susanne Reinemer of Salt Lake City, Utah; stepson, Ross E. Cline of New Hampshire; stepdaughter-in-law, Vivian Shinn of Woodland; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilfred A. Holley; second husband, Cadet U. Cline; stepson, Wayne D. Cline; and son-in-law, Kenneth L. Reinemer.

A memorial service was held at a later date in East Sounc, Wash.

Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Crematory of Ashland, Oregon assisted the family with arrangements.

CLOVER

Roy H. Clover

Roy H. Clover died on Jan. 8, 2000, at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento of complications from a fall he took in his Woodland home in December.

Born on Aug. 23, 1921, he was 78.

He retired from Pacific Telephone after 37 years of service, starting as a lineman prior to World War II and retiring as a senior special investigator in 1976.

He will be remembered by many in his community for his generous gifts of almond and home-baked breads.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Lillian, who died in 1988.

He is survived by his son, David L. Clover and his wife Judy of Fremont; daughter, Sheila R. Enders of Sacramento and her life partner, Judy Ludwick; three grandchildren, Eric D. Clover, Kristen M. Enders and Erin L. Enders; two step-grandchildren, Bobbie Jo and Billie Jo Hale, both of Sacramento; two great-grandchildren, Megan and Paige Clover, both of Sacramento; cousin and friend, Laverne Mayes of Woodland; and close friends, Tom and Vivian Syftestad of Woodland.

A memorial service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland.

COBOS

Florence Delgado Cobos

Florence Delgado Cobos died April 25, 2002, at Sutter Davis Hospital. Born in the San Gabriel Valley Sept. 16, 1930, to the late Jerome and Juanita Delgado, she was 71.

She was a resident of Yolo County for the past 50 years and was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She and her late husband, Frank, ran the Woodland Community Clothes Closet for 12 years. She also worked as a bilingual teachers' aide for the Woodland Joint Unified School District, but retired early to stay home and raise her grandchildren. She loved her family and valued family unity. She also loved her rose garden and gathering different colors for a beautiful bouquet. She was strong-willed and loved to serve God. The memories of her heart of gold and her blessings to all will be cherished and deeply remembered.

She is survived by her children, Joann Castaneda and husband Jose; Frances Reysack and husband Andrew; Laurie Marquez and husband Rudolph and Liz Cobos and companion Manuel Murillo, all of Woodland; and Richard Cobos of Texas and Frank Cobos of Las Vegas. Also surviving her are 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother, Rudy Delgado of Esparto; sisters Emily Hattabaugh of Winters and Susan Miranda of Woodland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Cobos and sister Ophelia Calderon and brothers Jerry, Abel and Gilbert Delgado.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Monument Hill Memorial Park.

McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

COELHO

Aileen Mae (Pacheco) Coelho

Aileen Mae (Pacheco) Coelho died on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005 at Alderson Convalescent Hospital at the age of 90.

She was a long time, 50-year resident of Woodland. Mrs. Coelho was born in Half Moon Bay into a family of seven girls and two boys on Dec. 1, 1914. She marriage John Coelho in 1937, taking an intricate part in running the family farm with her husband. She was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed volunteer work as a pink lady for Woodland Memorial Hospital. She was also an active member at Holy Rosary Parish.

After raising her four boys, and following the death of her husband John, she went to work at UC Davis in 1967, retiring at the age of 66. She is survived by her sons Doug Coelho and wife Kathy; Jim Coelho and wife Jean; Tim Coelho and wife Brenda, all of Woodland. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; Cheryl Coelho of Sacramento; Rick Coelho of Lake Tahoe; Matt, Jimmy and Jason Coelho, all of Woodland; Erin Reis and husband Ray, also of Woodland; Danette Cubic and husband Chris of Hermosa Beach; Heather Allen and husband Peter of New York. Mrs. Coelho is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Ashley Coelho, Tylor Coelho, Hannah Reis and Wiley Cubic.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Coelho and son, John Wayne Coelho.

Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17 at Holy Rosary Church, officiated by Rev. John Boll. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Woodland.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Holy Rosary Building Fund. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Aileen Mae (Pacheco) Coelho (2nd of 2 obits.)

Aileen Mae (Pacheco) Coelho died at Alderson Convalescent Hospital Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005 at age 90.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John Coelho and son, John Wayne Coelho.

The family requests memorials in Mrs. Coelho's name be made to Holy Rosary Building Fund.

Services: Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland, with Rev. John Boll officiating. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Woodland. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

COGBILL

James Quentin Cogbill

James Quentin Cogbill died at home Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at age 85.

Born Aug. 12, 1918 in Newton County, Mo., Mr. Cogbill had been a Yolo County resident for 40 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the Elks Club. He founded the company Cogco Inc. in 1976.

Survivors include his wife, Doris of Woodland; son, Mark Cogbill of Sacramento; daughters, Linda Johnson of Huntington Beach, Deborah Herrick of Woodland, and Rebekah Cogbill of Woodland; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be directed to McNary's Chapel at 458 College St., Woodland, 95695. Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.

Services: A funeral is scheduled at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 12, at McNary's Chapel at 458 College St., Woodland. Burial will be at Monument Hill Memorial Park.

COGBURN

Anderson "Andy" C. Cogburn

Anderson "Andy" C. Cogburn, longtime resident of Davis, died July 20, 2005, at The Californian in Woodland. He was 85.

Born May 13, 1920, in Perry, Fla., he was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He later retired after 32 years with PG&E.

He was fond of the outdoors, an avid golfer and a deer hunter. His hobbies included gun crafting.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Roy, and sister, Lucille.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jenner Cogburn of Davis; three sons, Ronald Cogburn of San Leandro, Larry Cogburn of Redding and Craig Cogburn of Sacramento; two grandsons, Logan and Shaun and one great-grandson, Luke, all of Redding.

At his request, there will be no service. A private burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry.

Remembrances may be made to The Californian, 1224 Cottonwood St., Woodland, CA 95695 or to Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, CA 95617.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Chapel.
