Gerald Elmo Bishop died at his home in Woodland on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at age 84.
Mr. Bishop was born Dec. 12, 1921 in Dewey County, Okla. He had been a salesman for 40 years and was employed by Blagg Enterprise.
Survivors include Mr. Bishop's wife of 64 years, Thelma Bishop; his sisters, Hazel and Wanda; his brothers, Gaither and James; and many nieces and nephews.
Services: A graveside service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, March 31 at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 County Road 22, Woodland. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.

BISHOP
Herbert F. Bishop
Herbert F. Bishop of Woodland died on May 3, 2002, at Stollwood Convalescent Hospital in Woodland. He was 88.
He was born on May 16, 1913, in Manchester to Herbert and Belle "Dougherty" Bishop. He was a graduate of Coalinga High School and lived along the coast in the Fort Bragg area for 50 years before moving to Woodland in 1983.
He enjoyed many hobbies, including gardening, hunting, fishing and playing pool and softball in his younger years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Ledford Bishop, in 1997; son, Harley Bishop, in 1998; grandson, Mark Smith, in 1998; and great-granddaughter, Trisha Thomas, in 1983.
He is survived by his daughters, Tharon Thompson, Peggy Welty and Gayle Cardwell, all of Woodland, and Lola Dahl of Fort Bragg. He is also survived by six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Corkwood Restaurant, 154 W. Main St., Woodland.
The family prefers that contributions be made to charities of the donor's choice.

BISHOP
James Clyde Bishop
James Clyde Bishop died on Feb. 15, 2001, after a long illness. Born to Rita Lorene Bishop and Bert Nile Bishop on May 10, 1958, in Lander, Wyo., he was 42.
Before moving to Woodland in 1988, he lived in Fort Bragg. He graduated from Fort Bragg High School and then served on the Fort Bragg Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter. He worked for Georgia Pacific for 11 years.
For the past 12 years, he worked for EXEL as a supervisor, helping the company set up warehouses throughout the United States.
He marriage Julia Woodward on April 10, 1982, and they were sealed for eternity in the Oakland Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Jan. 21, 1984. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Daniel and Samuel, and a brother, Leslie Bishop of Fort Bragg.
Bishop enjoyed a variety of activities throughout his life. He was an avid outdoorsman and he enjoyed watching his sons participate in sports and theater. He was a man of great faith and a devoted husband and father. He served faithfully as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Daniel and Samuel LDS Missionary Fund that has been set up at the Yolo Federal Credit Union.
A viewing will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St. in Woodland, and Wednesday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. in the Relief Society Room of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1405 Cottonwood St. in Woodland. A funeral will follow in the chapel room at 10 a.m.
The dedication of the grave and interment will follow at the Woodland Cemetery, Cross and West streets.
BISHOP
James Junior Bishop
James Junior Bishop passed away June 4, 2000, at his home in Winters. He was born March 29, 1922 in Oklahoma to the late James R. and Alma Lee Bishop, he was 78 years old.
Mr. Bishop lived in Yolo County for 50 years. He worked for the University of California-Davis in their experimental orchards and later in life for various growers in Yolo County. Mr. Bishop is survived by his sons Arnold Dean Bishop of Imperial, Billy James Bishop and wife Patricia of San Jose, Phillip R. Bishop and wife Linda of Winters; grandsons Richard Bishop and Darrel Bishop and wife Tanya, all of Winters; and three great-grandchildren.
Private services will be scheduled at a later date.

BISSON
Joyce Lynn (Spear) Bisson
Joyce Lynn Bisson died at her home in Sacramento Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005 at age 44.
Ms. Bisson was born Sept. 17, 1960 in Sacramento. A former Woodland resident 20 years, she attended Holy Rosary School as a grade school student and graduated from Woodland High School in 1978. She later graduated with a teaching credential in history from UC Davis. She worked in special education, and received her Master's degree in special education from CSU Sacramento. In her youth, she was active in 4-H and FFA.
Survivors include Ms. Bisson's mother, Patricia Mary Spear and her fiancé Kenneth Moilanen; her father, Francis Spear and his wife Claire; her sisters, Colleen Manzer, Julie Sparks, Stacey and Cassie Spear; her brother-in-law, Chris Manzer; her nieces and nephews, Michelle Morrison, James William Morrison, Melissa Sparks and Randy Sparks; her aunt and uncle, Mark and Hanna Kelliher of Eagle River, Alaska and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Joyce Flannigan; her grandparents, Mary Kelliher Ward, Mark Kelliher, Etta and Norest Spear, and her brother-in-law, Randy Sparks.
The family requests memorials in Ms. Bisson's name be directed to the American Diabetes Association, 2720 Gateway Oaks Drive, Suite 110, Sacramento, 95833.
Services: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., with interment following at St. Joseph's Cemetery. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
BITTICK
Colleen Jeanine Bittick
Colleen Jeanine Bittick died Aug. 23, 2004, at Sutter Davis Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 51 years old.
Born Jan. 30, 1953, in Seattle, Wash., she grew up in a military family and lived all over the world. She came to Davis when she was 19 years old to attend UC Davis, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree. She worked as a program administrator at UC Davis for the past 29 years and lived in Davis for the past 32 years.
Her family described her as a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend who never failed to put others before herself, especially with the care of her mother, whom she always put as her No. 1 priority.
She was preceded in death by her father Mark Bittick, in November 1993, and nephew Sean Stephens, in August 1994.
She is survived by her mother, Maureen Bittick of North Highlands; brother, Mark Bittick and his wife Shawn of Nevada; and sister, Roberta Stephens and her husband David of Michigan. She is further survived by her aunt, Birdie and her husband Jim of Ireland, and Norma Bittick of California. She leaves her nieces Juliet, Erin and Mariah; and nephews Branden, Michael, Robert and Zackary.
Viewing is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Davis Funeral Chapel, 116 D St., with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m. today.
A funeral Mass will be said Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 200 W. 14th St. in Davis. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Sacramento.
BITTLE
John A. Bittle
John A. Bittle died peacefully at home on Feb. 19, 2005. He was 56 years old.
Born in Anniston, Ala., on Nov. 2, 1948, he was a Yolo County resident for 25 years.
He is survived by his children, Johnny and Terri; his brother, Robert; grandson Conner; and son-in-law Chris.
He is further survived by his uncle John and aunt Joyce; and cousins Mike and Joe.
A family memorial service was held Sunday.
