Geneva Delorce Roberts
Geneva Delorce Roberts passed away on Feb. 22, 2003, following a brief illness. Born Dec. 26, 1917 in Beedeville, Arkansas, she moved with her family to Winters in October 1943, where she lived at the time of her death.
Geneva was an active member of the First Baptist Church from February 1944 until the time of her passing. She was employed at the Basic Vegetable Products Plant in Vacaville for 37 years until she retired from work.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Geneva is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Charley and Claudyne Roberts, daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and C. Edward Hill and daughter Janice Draper, all of Winters; also seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charley, son Tom and an infant daughter, Barbara Ann.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church building fund, in Winters.
ROBERTS
Lewis Roberts
Lewis Roberts, a former Davis resident, died at Mercy Care Center in Mt. Shasta Jan. 18, 2004. He was 91.
Born Nov. 17, 1912, in Dodge City, Kan., he lived in Davis from about 1960 to 1980. He moved to the Mt. Shasta area in 1994.
He is survived by daughters, Delva Powers of Wichita, Kan., and her husband, Paul, Margery Hoffman and Fran Fields, both of Dunsmuir, and Judi Eernisse of Davis and her husband, Don, sister-in-law Pat Roberts of Santa Cruz, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at the Davis Cemetery Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, at noon.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to FamiliesFirst Residential Program, 2100 Fifth St., Davis CA 95616.
ROBERTS
Robert Horace Roberts
Robert Horace Roberts died at his home in Eureka, Alaska on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006 at age 68.
Mr. Roberts was born June 24, 1937 in Roswell, N.M. to Jessie Lantz and Lawrence M. Roberts. He was an Esparto resident for about 15 years. He was a gold miner in Alaska.
Survivors include Mr. Roberts' daughter, Lisa Connelly of Carmichael; his sons, Robert H. Roberts Jr. of Idaho and Martin Roberts of Susanville; and his sisters, Betty Domitrovich, Lea Hall and Alva Elliott. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Theda Lane and Luella Gillespie; and his brothers, Lawrence M. Roberts, Bill Martin and Ted Martin.
The family requests memorials in Mr. Roberts' name can be directed to The American Cancer Society, 1765 Challenge Way, Suite 115, Sacramento, 95815.
Services: Respecting the wishes of Mr. Roberts, private family services are scheduled. Chapel of the Chimes of Fairbanks, Alaska is assisting the family with arrangements.
ROBERTSON
Irene Robertson
Irene Robertson died in Elk Grove Friday, March 3, 2005 at age 91.
Mrs. Robertson was born Nov. 27, 1913 in Concord to Joseph and Mary Noia. She attained a Bachelor of Arts in English and drama at UC Berkeley and began a teaching career in 1935. At the onset of World War II, she joined the Army, attaining the rank of 2nd Lieutenant and became the commanding officer of the WAC Depot at Camp Crowder, Missouri. After the war, she joined Capwell's Department stores in Walnut Creek, heading the alterations department. From there she became a clothes buyer for active sportswear. In 1953 she became a teacher at Dixon High School. In the late 1960s and became a bookkeeper for various enterprises until her retirement about 1982. From 1982 until the early 1990s she served in the volunteer league at Woodland Memorial Hospital eventually becoming president of the league.
Survivors include Mrs. Robertson's son, Stuart Robertson and his wife Linda; her grandchildren, Eric and Shawna Robertson and her sister, Grace Goodfriend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Albert Robertson and her sister, Lee McCreedy.
Services: A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 9961 Elk Grove-Florin Rd, Elk Grove, at followed by a gathering at her son's home in Wilton. The Elk Grove Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Sereivuth "Sam" Seam
Sereivuth "Sam" Seam died unexpectedly March 19, 2006, at Woodland Memorial Hospital. He was 40 years old.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the Woodland Family Worship Center, 386 W. Beamer St. in Woodland. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery, with the Rev. John Hudnall of the Woodland Family Worship Center officiating.
Born on March 13, 1966, in Cambodia, Seam moved to the United States in 1983. He first settled in Ohio and moved to Woodland in 1990. A business owner and a baker, he owned Spudnuts, adjacent to the County Fair Mall, for the past 16 years.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jenessee Kung of Woodland; his mother, Kana Kan of Oxnard; two sons, David Seam and Sean Kung of Woodland; two sisters, Socheata Seam and Sataya Seam of Oxnard; three brothers, Sovanara Seam and Sorasa Seam of Oxnard and Sovanaruth Seam of Van Nuys; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Evergreen Funeral Service of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.

Albert Bascum Sears
Winters - Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Winters cemetery for Albert B. Sears, 93, who died early today.
Kraft Brothers are in charge of funeral arrangements.
Mr. Sears, a resident of Yolo county since he was 21 years old, was a retired farmer of the Winters district. He died at 4 a.m. while sleeping in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lena Russell, four miles north of Winters on the Madison highway.
In Failing Health - The Winters man had been in failing health since February but had been up and around until a week ago.
A native of Bowling Green, Ky., Mr. Sears was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fielding Thomas Sears. He came to this county 72 years ago and immediately settled in the Winters district where he was active in farming operations.
Leaves Four Children - Mr. Sears is survived by four children, Mrs. Leann Russell, Winters; Claud Sears, Berkeley; Ray Sears, Winters, and Mrs. Mamie Lemyx, Nevada.
There are five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services at 2:30 p.m. today for Mrs. Bessie Sears
Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Sears, 70, who died Monday evening (6 July 1964) in the Yolo General Hospital, Woodland, will be held this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at Smith's Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Winters Cemetery.
A native of Kansas, Mrs. Sears had lived here for 54 years.
Survivors include her husband, Ray D. Sears, of Winters; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph D. Barriskill of El Cerrito; a brother, James Kramer of Yolo; two sisters, Mrs. Marguerite Pruden of Santa Clara and Mrs. Allie Leggett of Winters; and three grandchildren.
