Millard E. Ungles
Millard E. Ungles died on Sept. 3, 2005. He was 85.
A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Davis Funeral Chapel, with viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at the Davis Cemetery.
He was born on Sept. 21, 1919, in Platte, Mo., to Garland and Zelma Ungles. He was employed at UC Davis for 36 years, in addition to working a second job at the Varsity Theater in Davis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II and was a member of the First Christian Church in Sacramento.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marjorie Ungles; his sons, Roger Ungles and his wife Rosalie of Sacramento and Dan Ungles and his wife Diane of Placerville; his daughter, Zelma Sobba and her husband Jim of Cameron Park; and a grandson, Daniel Ungles of Placerville.

Alvin Unruh
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Davis Funeral Chapel for Alvin Henry Unruh, 78, who died in the Woodland Memorial Hospital on March 9, 1990.
Rev. Keith Knauf, pastor of the Winters Pioneer Presbyterian Church officiated, and burial followed in the Davis Cemetery.
A native of South Dakota, he was a graduate of the Moler Barber College, and operated a barber shop in Winters for 6 years. The shop was located on Main Street, and he succeeded the late Bill Wynes. He and his wife moved to Davis in 1978.
The deceased was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bridgewater, South Dakota, and his survived by his wife, M. Lucille Unruh, of Davis; two children, Iris Castro-Hamilton, of Brownsville…[cut off]
URBANO
Guadalupe Garcia Urbano
Guadalupe Garcia Urbano died in Woodland Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004 at age 82.
Mrs. Urbano was born Dec. 19, 1921 in Blackfoot, Idaho and had been a Yolo County resident for 64 years. Guadalupe and her husband Jesus, were one of the first Mexican families to settle in Woodland. She worked as a bookkeeper in their farm labor contracting business and later owned and operated the Wayside Grocery in Knights Landing. Upon retirement, they sold their home-grown produce at the new Davis Farmers' Market.
Survivors include Mrs. Urbano's son, Ramon Urbano of Anaheim Hills; her grandsons, David R. Urbano of Westfield, N.J., Daniel A. Urbano of Oakland and Tomas P. Urbano of Los Angeles. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Jesus Urbano.
Services: A vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15 at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. A funeral Mass will be celebrated noon Saturday, Oct. 16 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland. Interment will follow the service at St. Joseph's Cemetery. McNary's Chapel of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
URBANO
Jesus Vargas Urbano
Jesus Vargas Urbano, 94, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003 in Woodland.
A resident of Yolo County for 63 years, Mr. Urbano was born in Lafiedad, Michoacan, Mexico, on Feb. 9, 1909. He and his wife, Guadalupe Urbano were one of the first Mexican families to settle in Woodland. Mr. Urbano was a farm labor contractor in Yolo County for many years. After retiring from labor contracting he and Guadalupe owned the Wayside Grocery in Knights Landing for several years. After selling the grocery he was among the first produce vendors at the Davis Farmer's Market where he was known as the "Garlic King" for his succulent home grown crop.
Mr. Urbano is survived by his wife of 63 years, Guadalupe URbano of Woodland, son, Ramon J. Urbano of Anaheim Hills; grandsons, David R. Urbano of Westfield, N. J., Daniel Urbano of New York City and Tomes Urbano of West Hollywood.
A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2003, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St. Visitation is scheduled for 7 p.m., Sunday, May 18, at McNary's Funeral Chapel in Woodland. Burial will be held following the funeral mass on Monday at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
ROBINSON
Marc A. Robinson
Marc A. Robinson died in his sleep at his Sacramento home on Oct. 12, 2004. He was 41.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Davis Funeral Chapel, 116 D St. in Davis.
Born May 8, 1963, in Washington D.C., he grew up in Davis and graduated from King High School in 1980. He lived in Des Moines, Iowa, for many years and moved to Sacramento two years ago.
He was described by his family as very hard working. He was a tile contractor who owned Marc Robinson Tile Co. in Sacramento. He enjoyed traveling with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Robinson of Sacramento; his daughter, Kendra Rarick of Sacramento; his mother, Sharon Vaipae of Davis; his father, Bill Robinson of Des Moines, Iowa; and his sisters, Sarah Reynolds of Davis, Christa and Mele Vaipae, both of Davis, and Arianne Robinson of Des Moines, Iowa.
He is further survived by his stepchildren, Tara and Jeff Wheeler, both of Des Moines; his stepfather, Gary Reynolds of Sacramento; a grandfather, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins in Des Moines, Iowa.
Remembrances may be made in his name to the Davis Athletic Club Marc Robinson Fund.
ROBINSON
Nolly Hampton Robinson
Nolly Hampton Robinson died at Sutter General Hospital in Sacramento Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, at age 64.
Born Oct. 18, 1939, in Knights Landing, Mr. Robinson had been a Yolo County resident for 32 years. He attended Yolo County schools and graduated from Woodland High school in 1957. He served in the U.S. Army reserves. He was a retired member of the Teamsters Union.
Survivors include his wife, Marleata Robinson of Reno, Nev.; daughters, Katrina Robinson of Woodland, and Rachel Robinson of Reno, Nev.; sons, Jim and Dan Robinson of Rancho Cordova; brothers, Cleve and Eugene Robinson, both of Woodland; and two grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Evergreen Funeral Services of Woodland.
Services: Services are scheduled at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 Co. Rd. 22 in Woodland.
ROBINSON
Rose Marie Robinson
Rose Marie Robinson died on Sept. 25, 2002, at the University Retirement Community. Born on Nov. 5, 1919, she was 83 years old.
She grew up in Hamden, Conn. She was a surgical nurse at New Haven Hospital where she met her husband, Dr. Benjamin R. Robinson. The couple moved to Woodland in 1951 when Ben joined the Woodland Clinic Medical Group. They were marriage 58 years.
She was a homemaker in Woodland and raised four daughters.
In later years, she was a supervisor at St. John's Retirement Village. She was active in WIGS (a women's investment group), women's golf at the Yolo Fliers Club and was an avid bridge player.
In earlier years, she was active in Omega Nu, the Welcome Wagon, Woodland Memorial Hospital Pink Ladies and the PTA.
She was accomplished at oil painting and enjoyed dancing. She and her husband moved to the retirement community in 2000.
She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Rowland Robinson Jr. of Davis; three daughters, Robin Martha Robinson Earl of Nashville, Tenn.; Kathy Robinson of Davis and Kimberly Robinson Noonan; four granddaughters, Taylor, Alexa and Jenna Noonan of Danville and Kelly Robinson McKeehan of Pleasanton; a grandson Paul Bryan Campos of Orinda; and a brother, Lincoln Cavalieri of Detroit, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Robinson Campos McKeehan.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at the University Retirement Community auditorium, 1515 Shasta Drive in Davis.
