Myra J. Reddick
There will be no services for Myra J. Reddick, 75, of Dixon. Inurnment will be private.
Mrs. Reddick died on July 9, 2000, in Dixon after a short illness.
Born on Dec. 22, 1924, in Woodland, she lived in Dixon for the past 50 years. She grew up in Winters and worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo after graduating from high school. She worked for several years as a bookkeeper for the Bank of America branch in Winters before transferring to the Dixon branch. She retired from Bank of America after 36 years.
Mrs. Reddick is survived by her husband, Hardy, of Dixon; sisters, Betty Cavaglieri of Davis, and Lillian Potter of Folsom; a brother, Bill Duncan of Davis; a goddaughter, Sandy Kwong of Davis, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of a service or flowers Mrs. Reddick's wishes were that memorial contributions be made to the Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, 95617.

REDMILL
Susan Marie Redmill
Susan Marie Redmill died unexpectedly Jan. 31, 2006, at Woodland Memorial Hospital. She was 43.
A celebration of her life begins at 7 p.m. Monday at Club Coyote, 11 East St. in Woodland.
Born in Woodland Sept. 5, 1962, to Kenneth and Judy (Buresh) Redmill, she attended local area schools and graduated from Woodland High School in 1980. She enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served two years, receiving her honorable discharge after her tour of duty in Japan and later Hawaii.
A lifelong resident of Yolo County, she was employed by Interstate Petroleum for the past 12 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Redmill; her aunts, Sandy Pfeiffer and Dolores Ward; and an uncle, Stan Buresh.
She is survived by a daughter, Krystle Redmill of Woodland; her mother, Judy Vargas of Sacramento; brothers Ken Redmill of Sacramento and David Redmill of San Jose; and an uncle, David Buresh of Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Susie Redmill Memorial Fund, c/o the Golden One Credit Union, 1801 East Gibson Road, Suite D in Woodland.

REDMOND
Patrick R. Redmond
Patrick Robert Redmond died after a long illness on March 24, 2000, at Stollwood Convalescent Hospital. Born on Dec. 10, 1911, in Sebastopol, he was 88.
He lived in Sonoma County for several years before moving to Woodland in 1919.
He attended Filmore, Pleasant Prairie and Dingle elementary schools and Woodland High School. His family then moved to Guinda and he graduated from Esparto High School in 1930.
As a young man, he worked in farming for the D.N. Hershey family and E.L. Wallace.
In 1941, he entered the U.S. Army where he met his wife of 57 years, Kathleen Cassidy. He served until 1945.
In 1947, he went to work for the Ray D. Henderson International Harvester Agency. In 1958, he joined Weaver Tractor as a salesman for John Deere, retiring in 1977.
He was a lifetime member of the Woodland Elks Lodge and served 29 years with the Willow Oak Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland to visit his father's birthplace.
He liked hunting and the outdoors as well. After his retirement he spent his time woodworking, making items for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, P.J. and Nellie Redmond; sister, Ellen Lowrey; and granddaughter, Joanna Nell Armus.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; four daughters and their spouses, Kathy Wertman of Kennewick, Wash., and her husband Shorty, Sharon and John Armus, Karen and Jim Webber and Becky and Doug Gordon, all of Woodland; eight grandchildren, PFC Jim Wertman of Texas and his wife Tami, Natalie Wertman of Kennewick, Wash., Austen Armus of San Francisco, Martha Armus, Kristina Reimer and her husband John, Michael Webber, P.J. Adam and Jeremy Gordon, all of Woodland; five great-grandchildren, Colin Wertman, Marcus Wertman, Caleb Wertman, Katelyn Reimer and Emma Reimer; and his brother-in-law, Evan Lowrey.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Woodland Christian Church, 509 College St., Woodland. Burial will follow at Monument Hill.
The family requests that memorial donations be directed to St. John's Chapel Fund, 434 Cleveland St., Woodland; and to the Alzheimer Aid Society of Northern California, P.O. Box 1824, Sacramento, CA 95812.

REED
Burton C. Reed
Burton C. Reed died in Modesto Wednesday, Feb. 15 at age 89.
Mr. Reed was born Aug. 9, 1916 in Saginaw, Mich. He had been a Yolo County resident for 21 years. He attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. He was a Baptist minister for 50 years, including 21 years as a Baptist minister of visitation in Woodland.
Survivors include Mr. Reed's daughters, Carla Hilson and her husband Joe of Hayward and Marilyn Thomas and her husband Harlan of Modesto; his grandchildren, Jim Hilson and his wife Lori, Rod Thomas and his wife Richele, Kristie Garrett and her husband Larry, Cheryl Crone and her husband Ron, Linda Napoli and her husband Steve, Gary Hilson and his wife Cheryl, Ronnie Reed and Marc Reed and his wife Angel; his great-grandchildren, Sarah and Stephanie Hilson, Ashley Schoen, Cory Crone, Gannon Reed, Connor and Parker Garrett and Shane O'Neil. He was preceded in death by his wife, Meryl Reed and his son, David Reed.
The family requests memorials in Mr. Reed's name be directed to the Burton Reed Memorial Fund c/o First Baptist Church, 1616 West St., Woodland, 95695.
Services: Visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 at First Baptist Church, 1616 West St., Woodland. A funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church. Interment will follow the service at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 County Road 22, Woodland. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
REED
Nancy Elaine Reed
Nancy Elaine Reed passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2003 after a long illness. Born on Aug. 11, 1929, she was 74 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sheldon and Bertha Wysong. Born and raised in Fresno, she graduated from Fresno High School in 1947. She attended Fresno State College where she met her husband, Lloyd. They marriage in 1950 and raised two children, Kathy and Barbara. They made homes in Fresno, Sacramento, and Auburn. Nancy was a homemaker as well as a volunteer at various schools as the kids grew up. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fresno as well as Northminster Presbyterian Church in Sacramento. She and Lloyd moved to Auburn in 1974 where Lloyd worked as an appraiser in the Placer County Assessors office. They loved being close to the mountains and took many scenic drives. After Lloyd passed away in 1999, Nancy moved to Woodland. She was a good friend to her daughters and will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her willingness to help others.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Blankenship of Davis and Barbara Morrell of Laguna Beach; she is survived by three grandchildren, Kara, Kate, and Kelly Morrell; she is survived by her sister Eleanor and brother-in-law Rex Phebus of Fresno as well as two nephews and a niece. The family would like to thank the staff of St. John's Retirement Village for their wonderful support during these difficult times. Interment will take place at The Chapel of the Light in Fresno, Ca.
REED
Robert Vernon Reed
Robert Vernon Reed died in his Woodland home Friday morning Sept. 13, 2002, at age 92.
Born June 27, 1910, in Memphis, Mo., Mr. Reed is the son of the late Peter and Daisy (Rush) Reed. He had been a Yolo County resident for the last 70 years. He was employed by Pargas in Woodland for 35 years and was the district manager at his retirement. He was a member of the Woodland Christian Church, Woodland Masonic Lodge and was active with the Woodland Community Garden. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Reed is survived by his wife, Ethel Reed of Woodland; son, Robert L. Reed and wife Mardelle of Woodbridge; and grandchildren, Kristine Reed Barnaby and husband Bill of Sacramento and Peter Christopher Reed and his fiancee, Jessica of Lodi.
Visitation is scheduled from 8:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland, with a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Woodland Christian Church. Burial will follow at Monument Hill Memorial Park.

REED
William Charles Reed
William Charles Reed died unexpectedly on Dec. 4, 2003, at Sutter Davis Hospital. Born Feb. 2, 1924, he was 79 years old.
A native of Illinois, Reed graduated from Belleville Township High School in 1940. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a fighter pilot in World War II, where he was shot down and taken as a prisoner of war.
Upon returning home, he enrolled at the University of Illinois, where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in 1947. He worked as a civil engineer for 35 years until he retired, and spent the last 16 years living in Hot Springs Village, Ark.
Reed was a member of the American Association of Civil Engineers and Tau Beta Phi.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma J. Reed of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; sons, Richard C. Reed of Elmhurst, Ill., Gerald S. Reed of Murphysboro, Ill., Ronald B. Reed of Beach Park, Ill., and David W. Reed of Davis; sisters, Marian Coleman, Joyce Battoe and Carol Crook, all of Belleville, Ill.; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Leah M. Reed, in 1997.
A family memorial service and interment will be scheduled at a later date.
Memorials may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or Kirk in the Pines Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs Village, Ark.
