Yolanda Elaine Maibach Amacher Reinhardt
Yolanda Elaine Maibach Amacher Reinhardt of Riverside died at Orangetree Convalescent Hospital in Riverside Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at age 86.
Mrs. Reinhardt was born Oct. 29, 1918 in Bern, Switzerland. She had been a Yolo County resident for 13 years. She attended Fillmore Grammar School and Woodland High School. She worked as a cook and cook's helper on ranches in Northern California and Oregon.
Survivors include Mrs. Reinhardt's daughter, Doris Ward of Oakdale; her sons, Paul Reinhardt and his wife Sandi of Bloomington and David Reinhardt and his wife Virginia of Riverside; her grandchildren, Bonnie Reinhardt Porter of Long Beach, Patricia Reinhardt Holmes of Rosemond, Tammy Reinhardt and Jason Reinhardt of Riverside; her brothers, Godfrey Amacher and Joseph Amacher, both of Woodland and her cousin, Genevieve Thomas of Spanish Fork, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 40 years, Edwin Karl Reinhardt; her sister, Madelyne Robinson and her brother, Irvin Amacher.
Services: Services were held in Riverside June 1. Interment was at Evergreen Memorial Park in Riverside. Rubidoux Mortuary of Riverside assisted the family with arrangements.
REINKING
Paul W. Reinking
Paul W. Reinking died March 15, 2001, at the age of 80. He was born to Julius and Sophia Reinking in Oakland and spent most of his youth working the family farm in Chico.
He graduated from Concordia High School in Oakland and served in the U.S. Army Air Force in World War II, based in Alaska. He spent his early working days as a driver for Greyhound Bus Lines before establishing a 30-year career as a welder and supervisor of maintenance of way and structural welding with Western Pacific Railroad.
He marriage Gladys Franz in Chico in 1951. They moved to Winnemucca, Nev., living for a time in Western Pacific Housing (an outfit car) until they were able to find a home of their own.
In every place the railroad sent him, he and his wife were instrumental in the life of the local Lutheran Church. He served as a Sunday school superintendent for more than 20 years in three different churches and helped in numerous construction efforts. In Chico, he served on the building committee of Redeemer Lutheran Church. In Winnemucca, they led the establishment of Zion Lutheran Church, holding services in their home and other churches until a new building was built. In San Ramon, they were active in St. Philip's Lutheran Church where he sang as a tenor and served as Sunday school superintendent and pit barbecuer.
After moving to Davis in 1973, they were active in the Davis Lutheran Church and became founding members of Our Faith Lutheran Church. He spent many years as a dedicated member of a team of volunteer groundskeepers at Our Faith. His 20 years of retirement were spent enjoying the musical and athletic talents of his grandchildren and the company of his wife, children and friends.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Howard Worthington; his son and daughter-in-law, Karl and Kim Reinking and four grandchildren, Melissa Mackey, Stephanie Worthington and Nate and Collin Reinking. He is also survived by his sisters, Alice DeGarmo, Viola Sheppard, Hilda Johnson and his brothers, Ed and Clarence Reinking and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, and son-in-law Lloyd Mackey.
A memorial service will be held at Our Faith Lutheran Church on Monday at 10 a.m. Graveside services will be held later that day at Glen Oaks Cemetery in Chico. Memorial donations can be made to Our Faith Lutheran Church.
REIS
Raymond August Reis Jr.
Raymond August Reis Jr., died on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003 in his Woodland home at the age of 75.
Mr. Reis had been a resident of Yolo County for 56 years. He was a native of Jacksonville, Fla., having been born there on May 5, 1927.
Mr. Reis worked as a groundsman and equipment operator for 28 years at UC Davis. He was also a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a number of clubs and civic organizations including the Cabrillo Club, No. 26, Holy Ghost Society, Luso-American Society, Lady of Fatima (Sacramento). He also enjoyed playing for the Pedro League.
Mr. Reis is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bernadette Reis of Woodland; sons, Richard Reis and his wife Linda of San Jose, Ray Reis and his wife Erin of Woodland; daughters, Helen Alvarez and her husband Danny of Davis, Carol Schoch and her husband Jeff of Woodland. Other survivors include grandchildren Brian and Sara Reis, Alyssa, Alena and Daniel Alvarez, Matthew and Noah Schoch; sister Mary Ellen Lemos, aunt Olga Silva and numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary is scheduled for 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 6, at Holy Rosary Church. A funeral service is scheduled for noon Friday, Feb. 7, at Holy Rosary Church. Burial is scheduled for St. Joseph's Mausoleum in Woodland following the funeral mass.

Services are under the direction of McNary's Funeral Home of Woodland.
RENAUD
Frances Josephine Renaud
Frances Josephine Renaud died in Alderson Convalescent Hospital, Woodland Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at age 91.
Born May 3, 1910, in Denver, Colo., Ms. Renaud had been a Yolo County resident for 49 years. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Ella (Vertrees) Sherer. She worked for Yolo County Record and Majestic Press as assembly man. She was a member of Eastern Star.
Ms. Renaud is survived by her sons, Howard Latimer and wife Sally of Davis, Richard Latimer and wife Betty of San Diego and Jack Latimer and wife Stephanie of Inyokern; and grandchildren, Cindy Heeg of Tucson, Ariz., Kristin Launder of El Cajon, Karin Faber of Santa Rosa, Michael Latimer of San Diego and Rick Latimer of Santa Rosa.
There will be a private celebration of her life by family members.
RENTEROS
Silvana Renteros
Silvana Renteros died Dec. 5, 2000, in Orange County of lupus complications. Born in Lima, Peru, on Jan. 5, 1973, she was 27 years old.
She had been a resident of Davis since 1996 where she was a Ph.D. candidate in Latin American literature at UC Davis. Before moving to Davis, she lived in New York, where she attended the Fiorello La Guardia School of Performing Arts, and in Arizona, where she earned a bachelor's degree in women's studies from Arizona State University.
She was a teaching assistant in the UC Davis Spanish department, where she taught language and culture courses. She also was an accomplished poet and received a national poetry prize in Lima.
Renteros was an active member of the Davis community, where she moved to raise her 5-year-old daughter, Aurora, who suffered from autism. She provided counseling and support to other parents of autistic children.
She is survived by her children, Alexander and Aurora; her husband, Guido Semler; her mother, Tita Rodin; her brother, Omar Renteros; her sister-in-law, Rommy Renteros; her godson, Omar Ali Renteros; and her grandparents, Osar and Marfa Augusta Diaz.

RENTFROW
Grace E. Bigelow Haas Rentfrow
Grace E. Bigelow Haas Rentfrow passed away on June 25, 2004. Born in Alameda, California, on June 1, 1928, she was a great granddaughter of pioneer lineage from the Gosling Family in Napa County and the Graham family from Winters. Grace was born to Lawrence D. and Mary Elizabeth (Graham) Bigelow.
Grace was marriage to Dwain F. Haas, who was in the Navy Submarine service. Grace and Dwain bought a home in Vallejo in 1956 and have lived in Vallejo since.
Their family lineage is continued through their four children, Lawrence and Jennifer and a daughter, Amber, through a previous marriage; Donald; Patricia and Larry with children Benjamin, Denise, Nathan and Amy; and John and Cathy with children John and Stacy.
Grace was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was deeply involved in doing her own genealogy along with helping others with theirs.
She was a 50-plus year member of the Eastern Star, Past Matron of the Vallejo Chapter; Past President of the Emblem Club, a member of DAR and a member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West.
Grace's children, grandchildren and friends were very important to her and showed her dedication through the many things she did in her community from the blood bank to serving in the PTA's of her children's schools.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 30, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vallejo with graveside service to be held at the Winters Cemetery afterwards.
REPKOW
Guenter Walter Repkow
Guenter Walter Repkow died April 25, 2006, at home in Rancho Murieta after a nine-month battle with cancer. He was 73 years old.
A memorial service and viewing will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd. in Sacramento. A gathering will follow at the Rancho Murieta Country Club.
Repkow was born Nov. 26, 1932, in Berlin to Paul Otto Willi and Frida Fiedler Repkow. He had been a Yolo County resident for 12 years.
He graduated from trade school in Germany and was the owner and operator of G&R Automotive in Davis.
“Guenter was a loving and giving person who helped many people in his lifetime, ” his family says. “He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.”
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Friedel Repkow; and his brothers, Paul and Willi Repkow.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Elfriede Repkow; his daughters, Judy McNicol and her husband Dave, Christa Kuchier and Susie Repkow; his son, Juergen Repkow; his grandchildren, Sascha Repkow, Sonja Joyal and her husband James, Ashley Ferko and Hailey Ferko; and his great-grandchildren, Logan and Levi Joyal.
