Carl Irvin Kramer
Carl Irvin Kramer died Monday, May 31, 2004, at age 54.
Born July 10, 1949, in Woodland, Mr. Kramer was a lifelong resident of Woodland. He was the son of Irvin Kramer Jr. and Phyllis Perrenoud Kramer.
He was a 1967 Woodland High School graduate.
He was a lifetime member of both the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1967 and the Twin Rivers Moose Legion 207.
He was on the board of directors of District level and the Legion level.
He was a member of the Bay Area Electric Railroad Association, Fairfield Lapidary Society, and Discovery Museum.
He worked on the Kramer Ranch in the Sutter Basin from childhood until forced to retire due to medical conditions.
He volunteered on the levee watches.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda R. Kramer of Woodland; daughters, Anna Harrison and Melissa Thompson; granddaughters, Amber and Karissa Harrison; mother, Phyllis Kramer of Woodland; brothers, John Kramer and wife Elaine of Woodland, Paul Kramer of Knights Landing and Neil Kramer and wife Sharlene of Collinsville, Okla.; nephews, Austin, Travis, Brian, and Josh; nieces, Paula and Hanna; great-nephew, William Irvin Cordoza and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin Kramer Jr.
Arrangements are under the direction of North Sacramento Funeral Home.
Services: A memorial service is scheduled at 11 p.m. Thursday, June 10, at Vacaville Moose Lodge (corner of Gibson Canyon Road and Vine St.) in Vacaville.
The public is welcome.
There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at Knights Landing Cemetery on County Road 102, Knights Landing.
KRAMER
Elizabeth Kramer
Graveside rites for Mrs. Elizabeth Kramer, 90 year old Winters resident, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Winters Cemetery under direction of the McNary Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kramer died Saturday evening at Yolo General Hospital, where she had been a patient since May 4.
Rev. Stewart C. Potter, pastor of the Pioneer Presbyterian Church officiated, and casket bearers were Jack and Gregory Vasey, Walter Snodgrass, Joe G. Doll, Elwin Martin and D. H. McCoy.
A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mrs. Kramer was the daughter of Frederick and Mary Beck.
The family moved to a farm at Agenda, Kansas when Mrs. Kramer was a child, and it was there that she was reared and attended schools.
She was marriage September 16, 1885, in Republic County, Kansas, to William Penn Kramer, who died in 1923.
The couple made their home at Clyde, Kansas, before coming to Winters in 1900.
She was the last of four Beck children.
The deceased is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Allie Leggett and Mrs. Bessie Sears, both of Winters; Mrs. Marguerite Pruden of Los Angeles; and a son, James A. Kramer, of Yolo Co., six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

KRAMER
Sarah Louise Kramer
Sarah Louise Kramer died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, following a lengthy case of emphysema, at age 79.
Born Oct. 13, 1923, in Memphis, Tenn., Ms. Kramer moved to Woodland after her marriage to Clifton Austin Kramer in 1943. According to her family members, "she loved to sew, garden, collect antiques and had great appreciation for animals." She owned and operated Sara's Dress Shop and volunteered at Woodland Memorial Hospital. She later moved to Eureka Springs, Ark., where she lived with her sister, Ellen Coffman. She was affiliated with the First Christian Church in Eureka Springs.
Ms. Kramer is survived by C.A. Kramer of Knights Landing; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Tom Van Brocklin of Woodland; grandsons and their wives, Anthony and Joanna Van Brocklin of Woodland, Garrett and Nicole Van Brocklin of Esparto; and great-granddaughters, Madison and Mikayla Van Brocklin of Woodland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Walter L. Gay; and son, Austin Kramer of Woodland.
The family requests memorials be directed to American Cancer Society.
Cremation was handled by Nelson Funeral Service in Berryville, Ark.
KRAMER
William Penn Kramer
William P. Kramer Laid to Rest
Life came to a close Tuesday for William Penn Kramer, a resident of Winters since 1900.
Mr. Kramer had been failing in health for several years, his last illness, however, being of but a few days’ duration.
A second stroke complicated with kidney ailment proved too severe a tax for his physique of past 74 summers.
Mr. Kramer was a native of Indiana. He was marriage at Seapo, Kansas, to Miss Lizzie Beck, on August 16, 1885, fifteen years later coming to California.
Seven children were born to them, four of whom with Mrs. Kramer survive.
They are Mrs. Allie Leggett and Mrs. Bessie Sears of Winters, James Kramer of San Francisco and Mrs. Marguerite Pruden of Richmond.
Funeral services were held at the graveside at 2 o’clock, Wednesday officiated by Rev. John A. Heetebry of the Winters Methodist church.
Arrangements were in charge of Wilson's Funeral Home.
Song service was rendered by Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Manyan, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Chapman, Mrs. M. McKellips and Miss Thema Smith.
Pallbearers were Oscar Smith, Joseph McGarr, Charles Haffner, F.M. King, George Utterback and C.M. Isaacs.
Out of town relatives present at the services were Harry Baucom of Woodland, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Kramer of San Francisco Mr. and Mrs. Royal Ramey of San Francisco, Mrs. Marguerite Pruden of Richmond, Mrs. Elsie Ogborne, Mrs. Rubby Dippo, and Mrs. Minnie Smith of Oakland.

KREBS
Ward C. Krebs
Ward C. Krebs died Monday, June 2, 2003, at age 90.
Born Feb. 21, 1913 in Sacramento to Harry G. and Lillis N. Krebs, Mr. Krebs grew up in Sacramento where he graduated from Sacramento High School and Sacramento Junior College.
He graduated from Stanford University in 1934 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science.
He worked for California State Relief Administration, and the American Trust Company, now Wells Fargo Bank, as a messenger.
He retired in 1978.
He served in several positions with the Boys Scouts, first as president of the Bay Area Council and later of Western Region.
He was also a member of the Episcopal Church of Saint Matthew in San Mateo, where he served a term as senior warden.
He marriage Eleanor Blauth Duncan on Sept. 11, 1937 in the Stanford Chapel.
They were marriage for 54 years and had one child, until she died in 1992.
He later marriage Dorothy Weil Franklin.
Survivors include his son, Robert 'Rob' Krebs and his wife, Anne of Lake Forest, Ill.; and their children, Robert Ward, Elisabeth Lindstrom and Duncan Lindstrom Krebs; sister, Nancy Waldo of Greeley, Colo.; and four nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Eleanor Blauth Duncan, in 1992 and Dorothy Weil Franklin in 1999; and his brother, Swanston Krebs. The family requests memorials be directed to St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 1 So. El Camino Real, San Mateo, 94401. Arrangements are under the direction of Crosby-N. Gray & Co. Funeral Directors of Burlingame.
Services: Private services will be held.
KREIN
Elmer Krein
Elmer Krein of Davis died on Nov. 20, 1999. Born on Jan. 16, 1921, in North Dakota, to the late Henry and Lydia Krein, he was 78.
He was an avid sportsman who loved fishing and had done pheasant hunting in the past. He was especially great with his grandchildren, family members said.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lois Krein of Davis; two daughters, Karen Wilson of South Lake Tahoe and Kathy Cummings of Vacaville and her husband Albert; three granddaughters, Traci Wilson of Sacramento, Christina Brown of West Covina and Debbie Wilson of South Lake Tahoe; two great-grandchildren, Hayley and George Brown of West Covina; a sister, Laverne Kolb of Portland, Ore.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Interment will be private. No services are scheduled.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the March of Dimes, 1787 Tribute Road, Suite E, Sacramento, CA, 95815.

KRESA
Margery Ann Kresa
Margery Ann Kresa passed away on Jan. 16, 2002 in her Winters home. Born on Dec. 22, 1928 in Rock Island, Illinois, she was 73 years old.
Mrs. Kresa and her husband George moved to Winters from Southern California in 1978. The couple own and operate the Kresa Ranch.
She is survived by her husband, George Kresa of Winters; and children, Susan Pignataro of Bloomington, Illinois, William Kresa of McPhearson, Kansas, Charles Kresa of Marysville, and Christine Kresa of Seattle, Washington. She also leaves four grandchildren and a sister, Jeann Appier of Rock Island, Illinois.
At her request no services were held. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith’s Colonial Chapel in Winters.
