Arthur Vernon Christison
Arthur Vernon Christison died at Woodland Memorial Hospital Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005 at age 90.
Mr. Christison was born June 7, 1915 in Corning. He had been a Yolo County resident for more than 85 years. He was a graduate of Woodland High School. During World War II he worked at the Mare Island Shipyard. He was the owner of T V Christison & Sons, a family business operating in Yolo County since 1926. He was also a life member of the Woodland Elks Club for 69 years.
Survivors include Mr. Christison's sons, Robert A. Christison of Fair Oaks and Gary T. Christison and his wife Diane of Woodland; his grandchildren, Mark, Brian and Timothy Christison of Woodland, Cynthia Taylor and her husband Tom of Yuba City and Kevin Christison of Fair Oaks; his great-grandchildren, Trysha and Briana Graff of Yuba City and Jack Christison of Woodland; his sister, Phyllis Christison Martin of Tucson, Ariz.; and his brothers, Clifford Christison of Napa and Thomas J. Christison of Woodland. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Delia (Lammers) Christison; his parents Thomas V. and Ruth (Brown) Christison; and his brother, Victor Christison.
Services: A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland. A private inurnment will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery. McNary's Chapel of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.

Barbara Lee "Bobbie" Christison
Barbara Lee "Bobbie" Christison died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004 at age 64.
Mrs. Christison was born June 29, 1940 in Pittsburgh. She was the 1956 Yolo County Sugar Queen.
Survivors include Mrs. Christison's husband, Robert, also of Fair Oaks; her children, Cynthia, Kevin and Eric; her son-in-law Thomas Taylor; her grandchildren, Trysha and Brianna Graff; her step-grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, Kyle and Allyson Taylor and her mother, Mary Wampler.
Services: A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10 at Price Funeral Chapel, 6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights. Interment will be at Fair Oaks Cemetery. Price Funeral Chapel of Citrus Heights is assisting the family with arrangements.

Elizabeth (Elsie) Christison
Elizabeth (Elsie) Christison lost her courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003. She passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 76, lovingly surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren.
Born on March 23, 1927 to Henry and Francis Lammers in Nebraska, Elsie was one of eight children and moved to California at the age of 2. She attended Holy Rosary Academy and graduated from Mount Tamalpais High School. After graduating, she was employed as a switchboard operator for Pacific Telephone Company. She met Thomas Christison while attending a family event and they were marriage on September 29, 1946 after a 5-month courtship. They made their home in Woodland, where they adopted and raised five children.
Elsie was involved in many activities while raising her family. She was active in PTA, 4-H and Holy Rosary Church. She continued her positive influence over many other children while she had a day care in her home for 20 years. After her retirement, she devoted her free time to her beautiful rose gardens and fishponds.
Elsie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas; her children and their spouses, all of Woodland: Ruthie and Tony Bowers, Katie Adams, Laurie Christison, Julie and Pat Klingler and Tom and Michelle Christison. Elsie was a loving and devoted grandmother and leaves behind 11 grandchildren: Nicole and Karisa Adams, Danya, Cole, Kelsey, Shea and Lane Simons, Molly and Marnie Christison, Emerson Klingler and his yet-to-be-born sister, Elizabeth (Ellie) Klingler, named after her grandmother. She is survived by her last remaining sibling Harry Lammers and his spouse Joan of Cobb Mountain. Her parents and six siblings preceded her in death.
Elsie will be greatly missed by her husband, children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Yolo County Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, Ca 95617; or The UC Davis Cancer Center, c/o UC Regents/Health Sciences Advancement, 4900 Broadway, Sacramento, Ca. 95820.

Loved and admired by his wife Jan, his sons Jim and Joe and his buck dogs. Grandfather to Addy, Emmy, Hannah and Hunter.
Son of Betty Lowe and the late Vic Christison. He was the grandson of the late Walter and Lela Cougle. Brother to Carol Moore.
He died on his last hunt.

Jeff Christison died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005 at age 60.
Mr. Christison was born July 7, 1945 in Woodland. He was a retired veterinarian, former owner of Yolo Veterinary Clinic, and a volunteer firefighter.
Survivors include Mr. Christison's wife Jan; his sons, Jim and Joe; his grandchildren, Addy, Emmy, Hannah and Hunter; his mother, Betty Lowe; and his sister, Carol Moore. He was preceded in death by his father, Vic Christison and his grandparents, Walter and Lela Cougle.

Zilla Christison
Zilla Christison died at Woodland Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at age 95.
Born March 22, 1908, in San Francisco, Mrs. Christison had been a Yolo County resident for 75 years. She was an elementary school teacher taught in Zamora. She was a member of Retired Teachers Association, and .A.A.R.P.
Survivors include her daughters, Phyllis Martin of Pleasant Hill; granddaughters, Deborah Holland of Winters, and Suzanne Ropers of Texas; grandson, Stanton Eschwig, of Pittsburg; great-grandchildren, Amber and Jennifer Eschwig, Wayne Holland, and Blake Ropers; and stepsons, Clifford E. Christison and wife Elizabeth of Napa and Thomas J. Christison of Woodland. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas V. Christison.
Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.
Services: A private graveside service was held at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland.

C. B. Church
C. B. CHURCH, who has been a prominent citizen of Yolo County for thirty years, died of locomotor ataxia Friday night, at Woodland.
He was a native of New York, and about 72 years old.

Mary Frescas Civitts
Mary Frescas Civitts died at Cottonwood Healthcare Center on Friday, March 7, 2003, at age 62.
Born March 7, 1941, in Woodland, Ms. Civitts was the daughter of the late Juanita (Murrillo) Frescas and Mariano Frescas. She had been a lifelong resident of Yolo County, attending schools in Woodland. She last worked for Cache Creek Bingo.
Survivors include her son, John Civitts of Woodland; daughters, Teresa Civitts, also of Woodland, Connie Kates of Piedmont, Okla., and Ann Gray and husband Bill of Piedmont, Okla.; grandchildren, Venessa and Craig Civitts of Woodland, Dennis Stanley Jr., Jennifer and Michael T. Kates, Timothy W. Johnson III, Billy Ray Gray III, Stacy Gray and Markie Gray, all of Piedmont, Okla.; sisters, Hope Tapia, Mary Julian and husband Larry, Nelly Zeitman and husband Arno of Woodland, and Cathy Roach and husband Raul of San Jose; and brothers, Pete Frescas and companion Wrenna, Jim Frescas, Joe Frescas and Mark Frescas, all of Woodland, Al Frescas and wife Della of Sacramento, and Eddy Frescas and wife Shelba of Bakersfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Civitts.

CLARINE
Harry Oscar Clarine
Harry Oscar Clarine died at Woodland Memorial Hospital Monday, Aug. 4, 2003, at age 102.
Born July 28, 1901, in Oxford, Neb., Mr. Clarine had been a Yolo County resident for 30 years. He was employed for Ford Motor Co., and was a Dairy farmer. He also worked in the trucking business, construction and in an olive plant.
Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Cornett and husband Robert; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Fern Clarine; and eight brothers and two sisters.
The family requests memorials be directed to Alzheimer's Association; or to American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.
Services: A memorial service is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at Woodland Cemetery.
