Vera True Culveyhouse
Vera True Culveyhouse died Monday, April 19, 2004, at age 96 in Auburn.
Born Dec. 31, 1907, in Williamstown, Mo., Mrs. Culveyhouse lived in Yolo County for 45 years.
Survivors include her daughter Marie Sanders and husband Ray of Cool; daughter-in-law Virginia Culveyhouse of Peoria, Ariz.; grandchildren, Steven Sanders, Richard Sanders and his wife Cathy, Terry Lee Hoover and her husband David, and Sherrie Lynn Winchester. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and nine great, great grandchildren. Mrs. Culveyhouse was preceded in death by husband Jack Culveyhouse and son Glen Culveyhouse.
The family requests memorials be directed to Unity Church Building Fund, 1212 High St., Auburn. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kraft Brothers Funeral Directors of Woodland.
Services: A graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, April 23, at Mary's Cemetery, Yolo. No visitation is scheduled.
CUMMINGS
Dorothy D. Cummings
Dorothy D. Cummings passed away on April 8, 2000 in Edina, Minnesota after a brief illness. She was born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota on October 23, 1919.
Dorothy lived in Winters for a few years after retiring from 28 years of service with the Teamsters. She moved back to Minnesota to be with her growing numbers of great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin, and sons, Ronald and Dean.
She is survived by daughters Armella Walsh (William) of Virginia Beach, Virginia Anita of Eden Prairie, Minnesota and David (Louise Gale-Cummings) of Winters; 11 grandchildren, including Katelyn, Andrew and John Cummings of Winters; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A wake was held on Sunday, April 9, from 7-9 p.m., at the Burnsville Mortuary, in Burnsville, Minnesota. Interment was on Monday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at the Burnsville Cemetery.
CUNNING
Robert Lynn Cunning
Robert Lynn Cunning died July 27, 2004, at Woodland Memorial Hospital. He was 62.
Born July 31, 1941, he was a native of Hood River, Ore., where he grew up and attended high school. He lived in Yolo County for the past 27 years, working as a truck driver for Leer Transportation. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Minnie Cunning of Woodland; two daughters, Samantha Fint and Tabitha Gonzales, both of Hemet; two sons, Paul and Mickel Cunning of Woodland; and five grandchildren.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date, with memorial contributions being made to the donor's favorite charity in his memory.
Arrangements are under the direction of Evergreen Funeral Service of Woodland.
CURLEY
Edward Matthew Curley
Edward Matthew Curley died at Kaiser Permanente Hospital, Sacramento on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at age 83.
Born Dec. 16, 1919, in New York City, Mr. Curley has been a Yolo County resident for 41 years. He graduated from Stanford University in 1952; began a social services career which culminated in a 15-year tenure as director of Yolo County Department of Social Services; served in World War II and received five commendations in the Philippines campaign; after retirement from social service, he became a freelance writer for numerous Catholic publications, including monthly column in Sainte Anne de Beaupré for 25 years. He belonged to several organizations and initiated a daily rosary group and was an active member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Survivors include his sons, Brian J. Curley of Woodland and Sean P. Curley of Golden, Colo.; daughters, Sheila Ritchie of Woodland and Kathy Baland of Palermo; brother, John Curley of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife June Curley in 1993; sons, Michael Curley in 1974 and Martin Curley in 1977; brother, Russell Curley in 1993; and sister, Beatrice Curley in 1925.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors of Woodland.
Services: A rosary is scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Kraft Bros. Funeral Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland. A Catholic mass is scheduled at noon Saturday, Oct. 18, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Woodland, with a burial to follow at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Woodland.

Christopher Kelly Curnutt
Infant Christopher Kelly Curnutt died in Woodland Memorial Hospital Sunday, May 5, 2002.
Christopher is survived by his parents, Ken R. and Rebecca A. (Brown) Curnutt; and brothers, Alex, Michael Kenneth Jr., Jonathan, and Brannon Brown, all of Woodland.
A graveside service is scheduled at 11 a.m. today, Saturday, at the Knights Landing Cemetery in Knights Landing.

Dorothy "Sis" Novella Curnutt
Dorothy "Sis" Novella Curnutt of Woodland died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005 at age 74.
Mrs. Curnutt was born March 29, 1931 in St. Louis. She had been a Yolo County resident for 50 years. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include Mrs. Curnutt's daughters, Jean Curnutt and her husband James and Debra Obra and her husband Robert, all of Woodland; her stepdaughters, Pattie Knight and Sara Cannen, both of Emmett, Idaho; her stepsons, John Curnutt of Davis and Keneth Curnutt of Knights Landing; her grandchildren, Adam and Allen Curnutt, Bobbie and Stacy Sepe and Novella Obra; two great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Calvin and Allen Barton of Woodland and Edgar Barton of Sacramento. She was preceded in death by her husband of eight years, James W. Curnutt; her parents, David and Myrtle Barton and her brothers, William and Bob Barton.
Services: Respecting the wishes of Mrs. Curnutt, private family services are scheduled. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
CURNUTT
Myrtle Edith (Barnett) Curnutt
Myrtle E. Curnutt died on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002 at Woodland Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was 93 years of age.
Mrs. Curnutt was born in Chico on Feb. 24, 1908 and was a Yolo County resident for the past 39 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, George Monroe Barnett and Minnie Mary (Warner) Tamisier.
Mrs. Curnutt was a homemaker most of her adult life, devoting her time to her family and friends. According to her family she was much loved by both family and friends and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Doris Dodson and husband Wiley D. of Woodland; her granddaughter Yvonne Spitek and husband Mike, grandsons Wiley E. Dodson and Iley Dodson and wife Retha, all of Woodland.
Also surviving her are her great grandchildren, Frank Corralejo, Jr., Christopher Dodson, Michael Regaldo, David Gomez, Crystal Gomez and Cait Spitek, all of Woodland, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a son, Richard Louis Upton and granddaughter Cheryl Lynne Dodson.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002 at Monument Hill Memorial Park in Woodland.
