Howard John Wolfe, Jr.
Howard John Wolfe Jr. died at his Dunnigan home on Jan. 27, 2005. He was 83.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Agnes Mission in Zamora. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life at the Country Fair Estates, Road 99, Dunnigan, following the memorial.
He was born April 29, 1921, in Dunkirk, N.Y., to Howard and Helen (Kawski) Wolfe, where he attended local schools. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 to 1946 as a member of the 318th Fighter Group. After his honorable discharge, he worked as an engineer in the aerospace and refinery industries.
He was a resident of Yolo County for 16 years. He was a member of the Woodland Veterans of Foreign War Post 1985, Woodland Elks Lodge 1299, and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary since 1957.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sally Wolfe of Dunnigan; daughters, Sherry Kendrick and husband Steve of Austin, Texas, Doreen Hennigan of Roseville, Jane Stone and husband Wayne of Dunnigan, and Heidi Burns and husband Dan of Webster, N.Y.; sons, John Wolfe and wife Sheryl of Elk Grove and Michael Wolfe of Davis; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Wolfe is preceded in death by his sister, Jean, and brother, Robert.

WOLFINBARGER
Robert Wilson Wolfinbarger
Robert Wilson Wolfinbarger died in his Woodland home Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at age 86.
Born July 2, 1917, in Council House, Okla., Mr. Wolfinbarger had been a Yolo County resident for 59 years. He was employed for 34 years at Midland/Citizens Chevrolet and he was the owner and operator of Bob's Gas & Service for nine years before retiring. He was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church in Woodland.
Survivors include his daughter, Jan Woltmon and husband Dale of Woodland; son-in-law, Woody Thomason of Lewiston; grandsons, Jeff Sissom and wife Roxie, Robert Sissom and wife Brenda, Scott Woltmon and wife Jennifer, Tom Woltmon and Doug Woltmon and wife Kassie, all of Woodland; great-grandchildren, Darren, Daniel, Katie, Jason and Michael Sissom and Alyssa, Derek and Dylan Woltmon; sisters, Avis Collins and husband Jack, Jessie Winscott, Freeda King and husband Calvin, Mae Dutra and Arvilla Dubuque; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by his wife, Drucella Wolfinbarger; daughter, Launda Thomason; and brother, Sidney C. Wolfinbarger.
The family requests memorials be directed to Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, 95617; or the Calvary Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.
Services: Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 26, at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St. The funeral service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at the Calvary Baptist Church with interment to follow at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland.

Joseph Benjamin Wolfskill
Joe Wolfskill Joins The Hosts Over There
Joseph Benjamin Wolfskill, resident of Winters for over seventy years, passed away at his home in the Wolfskill tract Saturday morning following an illness of two months.
He was the eldest son of the late pioneers Sarshel C. and "Aunt Peggy" Wolfskill who came to California from Missouri via the Isthmus of Panama in 1852.
Joseph was 2 years old when they arrived at the Wofskill Spanish grant on Putah creek secured from the Mexican government by the late pioneer John R. Wolfskill.
Joseph grew up after the fashion of the early pioneers. He was educated in the old Sonoma College, at that time one of the best schools on the coast.
He was well read and posted in historical and scientific subjects and greatly interested in the great movements of our country and the world.
Politically he was an uncompromising Prohibitionist.
He was marriage to Sarah Bolinger Sept. 21, 1873, the officiating minister being the Rev. Thomas M. Johnson, the first pastor of the Winters Presbyterian church.
Fifty-one years of happy wedded life and six children graced the union.
The children are Herman H. of Yuba City, Arch and Mrs. Nancy Thurber of Winters, Leon, deceased, Mark who has not been heard from since the World War and George of Fresno.
Mr. Wolfskill was interested in education and for many years a trustee of Wolfskill district school and also a member of the Winters high school board.
He loved his home and family, was true to his friends, especially those of his youth and early manhood.
He will be greatly missed in the home and in the community.
Funeral services were very largely attended Sunday afternoon from the late residence, directed by Ross C. Wislon, the Rev. H.C. Culton officiating.
A choir from the Presbyterian church rendered song service.
The pallbearers were nephews: Carroll, Buell and John Ish, Frank Wolfskill, Elwood Cooper and Murray Goodyear.
Interment was in the Winters cemetery.
The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful.

Maggie WOLFSKILL (d. 5.20.1879)
At the residence of Joseph Griffin, five miles northeast of Winters, Monday, May 20th, 1879, Mrs. Maggie Wolfskill, aged 22 years, 9 months and 11 days.
WOLFSON
Samuel A. Wolfson
Samuel A. Wolfson, M.D., died peacefully in his home Oct. 31, 2004. He was 98.
A gathering of friends and family will take place at his home at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13. they don't want to list the address
Born Oct. 13, 1906, he was an accomplished cardiologist and internist. He spent many years working as a clinical professor of medicine at UCLA and chief of internal medicine at Wadsworth VA hospital in Los Angeles. In 1986, he became a Davis resident.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 52 years, Mollie Wolfson, who died in February of 1984.
Surviving him are his children, Amy Wolfson and her husband Paul Berkowitz of Santa Clarita, and Jon Wolfson and his wife Brenda of Davis; his grandchildren, Jennifer Berkowitz, Joy Berkowitz, Elana Kaminka, Jeremy Wolfson and Matthew Wolfson; his sister, Rose Wolfson; and his sister-in-law, Annette Nadler.
The family would like to thank all of his extended family of friends in Davis, and most especially, his much loved caregiver and friend, Israel Volau.

WOLINER
Michael Jay Woliner
Michael Jay Woliner died March 2, 2005, at his home in Granite Bay. He was 57 years old.
A memorial service begins at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Lambert Funeral Home in Roseville.
Born May 18, 1947, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he earned a bachelor's degree in physiology from New York University in 1970. He briefly worked for the college before taking a position at UC Davis.
A lifelong animal lover, he took great pride and satisfaction in his research of equine anesthesia and a lab course he taught to generations of veterinarians.
In 1998, he retired early and pursued a second career in computers. He taught for three years at Heald College and established MTech Consulting, a home-based computer business he operated until his death.
He was a Davis resident for nearly 25 years before moving to Granite Bay in 1998.
He was described as a true Renaissance man, an avid scuba diver, world traveler, cook, gardener and fix-it man.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Waterman. He is further survived by an uncle, many cousins and a multitude of friends from all walks of life.

Delavine Woll
Delavine Woll died at Woodland Memorial Hospital Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, at age 73.
Born June 19, 1930, in Susanville, Miss Woll had been a Yolo County resident for six months.
Survivors include her sister in Hayward.
Services: Interment is scheduled at the Public Guardian memorial in Woodland Cemetery.
