Erin MacKenzie Goldfarb died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004 in Woodland at age 35.
Miss Goldfarb was born March 21, 1969 in Oakland and had been a Yolo County resident for two years. Survivors include her parents Steve Goldfarb and Sandra MacKenzie Cioppa, her stepparents, Linda Goldfarb and Forrest Cioppa; her siblings, David Goldfarb, Seth Goldfarb and his wife, Lisa, and their daughter, Josephine; Emilie Odeile and Chris Maudlin.

Erin MacKenzie Goldfarb, born March 21, 1969, passed away quietly on Friday, Sept. 17, 2004 in Woodland. She is survived by her parents: Steve Goldfarb and Sandra MacKenzie Cioppa, her stepparents, Linda Goldfarb and Forrest Cioppa; as well as by her siblings, David Goldfarb, Seth Goldfarb and his wife, Lisa, and their daughter, Josephine; Emilie Odeile and Chris Maudlin. Erin will always be remembered for her love of horses and German Shepherd dogs, especially those trained in search, rescue and police assistance.
Private memorials were held by her family on Sept. 25 in St. Helena and on Sept. 26 in Moraga. GOLDMAN
Evelyne de Amezaga Goldman
Evelyne de Amezaga Goldman died from a fall in her home on Feb. 19, 2003, at the age of 61.
She was born on April 15, 1942, in German-occupied France. Her father Mario had been captured with his French army unit and then escaped to join the French resistance. She came to Davis in March 1962 to study mathematics at UC Davis. She graduated in 1966 and began her career as a programmer in the zoology department.
She continued her career in limnology (the study of inland water) as a senior systems analyst in the division of environmental studies until her retirement in the early 1990s. As a systems analyst and member of the Tahoe and Castle Lake Research Groups, she developed some of the first programs utilizing the early campus computers for reducing large sets of limnological data, some of which are still used by the two research groups.
She was effective in advising graduate students and was an author and major contributor to a pioneering paper in 1968 on Lake Maggiore in Italy. In this paper, she demonstrated the utility of computer use in cluster analysis of a large data set and developed a graphic program for contouring two-dimensional data with time. This study was followed by authorship on other research papers over the years dealing with the science of lakes.
She traveled extensively and regularly attended the meetings of the International Congress of Limnology. She often participated in field work and made several research trips to Central America and Lake Baikal in Russian Siberia with her husband and his students.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Goldman of Davis; brother, Jean de Amezaga, and sister, Mireille de Amezaga, both of France. She is also survived by her stepdaughters, Margaret Goldman Kimmel of Los Angeles, Olivia Goldman of San Francisco and Ann Goldman Manning of Sausalito, and her friend, Shirley Aldous Goldman of Davis.
A service will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 640 Hawthorn Lane.
KINKLE
Sarah Ann Kinkle
Death of Mrs. Kinkle - She Passed Away at Four O'clock This Morning
Mrs. Sarah Ann Kinkle, wife of Peter Kinkle, died at the family residence on South Elm Street at 4 o'clock this morning, after an illness of more than a year.
The deceased was a native of Delaware County, Indiana, and was 73 years, 5 months and 3 days old. She leaves a husband, six sons and two daughters. Pulaski L. lives in Placer County, Simpson lives in Winters, John is a resident of Jackson County, Oregon, George is a citizen at Napa County, Mason resides in San Jose and Levi lives in Woodland. Mrs. Levi lives in Woodland. Mrs. Levi Puderbaugh and Mrs. W. W. Smith are the daughters and both live in Woodland.
The deceased and Peter Kinkle were marriage in Wabash County, Indiana fifty-four years ago last August. They came to California in October 1869, and located in Woodland. They have resided in this city ever since, except for a period of five years when they resided in Napa County.
The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. J. R. Compton will officiate.
The deceased was highly esteemed and the bereaved family has the sympathy of the entire community.

KIRK
Douglas Wayne Kirk
Douglas Wayne Kirk died on Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, at age 49.
Born June 22, 1954, in Woodland, Mr. Kirk was a lifelong of Yolo County. He graduated from Woodland High School. He was a member of Woodland Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his father, Harry Kirk of Feather Falls; brothers, Lewis Kirk of Feather Falls and Harry Kirk Jr. of Woodland; sister, Lisa Kirk of Manteca; niece, Rachel Weeks of Woodland; and nephew, Bryan John Kirk of Davis. He was preceded in death by his mother, Freida Jane (Logan) Kirk in December 1995.
The family requests memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors of Woodland.
Services: A funeral service is scheduled at 2 p.m.Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, at Kraft Bros. Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland. Burial will be at noon Saturday, Aug. 16, at Feather Falls Cemetery.
MISNER
Coline D. Misner
Coline D. Misner died following a brief illness Monday, June 2, 2003, at age 85.
Born May 1, 1918, in Kissimmee, Fla., Mrs. Misner was a homemaker for all her adult life. She served on the Altar Guild for the Church of the Ascension Episcopal Church in Vallejo. She also served on the hospital Guild in Vallejo General Hospital. She is a member of Church of the Ascension Episcopal Church, Vallejo. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Maichel and husband George; son, Kenneth Misner and wife Linda, all of Woodland; half brother, Russell Gardner of Fortuna; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Struble Family Funeral Services of Vallejo. Services: A memorial service is scheduled at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 15, at Church of the Ascension Episcopal Church, 2420 Tuolumne St., Vallejo, with The Rev. Andrea Felsovanyi officiating.
MITCHELL
Alvin Fredrick Mitchell
Alvin Fredrick Mitchell of Woodland died at Alderson Convalescent Hospital Oct. 28, 2005 after a brief stay. Mr. Mitchell's health deteriorated over the last few years. He was 75 years old.
Mr. Mitchell was born Dec. 3, 1929 in Findley, Okla. The family moved to Arizona when he was a small boy. Then to Yolo County using gas coupons in the mid 40s. He served in the Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Korean War; for his injuries he received the Purple Heart. He worked for farmers and did custom hay bailing with his father. Then worked for Pepsi Cola before going to work for and retiring from Caltrans.
Survivors include Mr. Mitchell's wife of 48 years, Frances; his daughters Cheryl Mitchell and husband Leonard Curnutt of Woodland, Francine Moore and husband Elvin of Dunnigan; six granddaughters, Valerie, Teresa, Samantha, Frances Kaye, Clairice and Cherrice; 11 great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Jay, Dakota, Joseph, Taralynn, Elizabeth, Jessicah, Austin, Tamara, Marvin Jr. and Adrianna; his aunts Lillian Gay of the Marysville area and Ann Liddle from Phoenix and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Marie Mitchell, he was their only child. Also by his aunts Wilma and Clair and one granddaughter Caryn.
The family requests that memorials in Mr. Mitchell's name be directed to their favorite charity.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 County Road 22, Woodland, with Reverend Larry Love officiating. McNary's Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
