Jack Courtney Carmean
Jack Courtney Carmean died in his home Friday, April 19, 2002, at age 74.
Born March 3, 1928, in Pawnee, Okla., Mr. Carmean was the son of the late Forest and Lavella Mae (Hicks) Carmean. He was a 1946 Woodland High School graduate. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Davis. After retiring as an auto mechanic for 50 years, he relished his fishing and camping along the Northwest coast of United States. When he wasn't enjoy the outdoor experiences, he enjoyed gardening at his home.
Mr. Carmean is survived by his wife of 50 years, Thelma (Baumbach) Carmean of Woodland; daughter, Susan Baraias and husband Carlos, also both of Woodland; son, Wesley Carmean and wife Karen of Reno, Nev.; grandchildren, Jennifer and Nicholas Baraias of Woodland, and Michelle and Kelly Carmean of Reno, Nev.
The family has made private arrangements.

CARRASCO
Marcos C. Carrasco
Marcos C. Carrasco passed away on Monday, Aug. 28, 2000 at Sutter Davis Hospital. Born on Feb. 15, 1933, he was 67 years old.
Mr. Carrasco was a resident of Winters, a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, and worked for Hunt's cannery for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Avila G. Carrasco; children, Marcos Antonio of Winters, Veronica of Elk Grove, George of Novato, Polita Gonzales of Winters, and Rick of Chico; sisters Genoveva Armendares, Socorro Romero and Enedina Carrasco, all of Mexico and Ramona Abrego of El Paso, Texas; grandchildren, Jordan, Matthew and Marcus of Winters, Will and Tommy of Novato, Andrew and Sammy Gonzales of Winters, Eric Roberts of Dixon and Ryan Kobler of Elk Grove.
A rosary was planned for Wednesday, Aug. 30. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, Aug. 31 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will be at the Winters Cemetery.
CARRASCO
Samuel ("Sammy") B. Carrasco
Samuel Brian Carrasco died unexpectedly July 20, 2005, in Davis. He was 33.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, at the Davis Funeral Chapel, 116 D St.
Born on Sept. 13, 1971, in Fairfield, he grew lived in Vacaville, attending schools there, before moving to Davis with his family in 1992.
He worked as a cook at Cafe California for more than 10 years. Most recently he worked for Carefree Building Services in Davis.
Known as Sammy, he loved to spend time with his uncles, often going fishing on Putah Creek and at Lake Berryessa. An artist and musician, he enjoyed playing guitar for family and friends.
He was described by his family as a private and introspective person, as well as a generous man who could be counted on whenever anyone needed help and who could find the good in anyone.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Horace Robert and Vernita E. Davis.
His is survived by his son Raymond Carrasco of Woodland; mother Rebecca Davis Fransway of Davis; father Albert Carrasco of Davis; sister Rachel Ottlinger of Davis; and brother Albert Carrasco of Vacaville.
He is also survived by an aunt, Barbara Smith of Vacaville; uncles Larry Davis of Davis, Mike Davis of Winters, Richard Davis of Woodland and Bryron Davis of Florida; and a nephew, Michael Ottlinger, III, of Davis; and by numerous cousins.
CARRICO
Clyde Frank Carrico
Clyde Frank Carrico died at his home on Monday, April 21, 2003, at age 82. He was born on July 9, 1920, in Oakesdale, Wash., to Clyde Virgil and Ada Frank (Luffman) Carrico, both of whom predecease him.
Mr. Carrico was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He came to Yolo County in 1978 and worked for a number of years as a barber in Woodland.
Mr. Carrico is survived by his wife of 35 years, Estela (Bazan) Carrico; sons, Ricky and Richard Young, and Michael F. Carrico of Davis; Paul A. Carrico and Robert Lee Carrico of Woodland; daughter, Jannie Marriea Carrico and her husband, Victor M. Padilla of Sacramento. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kiana Marie Carrico and Victor M. Padilla Jr. of Sacramento. Other survivors include an aunt and uncle, Tommy and Larry Caspell of Portland, Ore. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Young.
Memorial contributions in Mr. Carrico's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1765 Challenge Way, Sacramento, Calif., 95815. Arrangements are under the direction of Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors.
Services: A funeral service is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at Kraft Bros. Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Interment will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 800 West St., Woodland. Deacon Ed Kull will be officiating.
CARRION
Alfonzo Ramos Carrion
Alfonzo Ramos Carrion died at UC Medical Center in Sacramento Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at age 83.
Mr. Carrion was born May 21, 1922 in Vacaville. He had been a Yolo County resident for three years and a resident of Arbuckle for 57 years. He was a farmer for many years in the Arbuckle area. Mr. Carrion was the past Master of the Arbuckle Masonic Lodge No. 182 from which he received his 50 year pin, a member of the Scottish Rite, a supporter of the Shriners Hospital for Children in Sacramento and a member of the Arbuckle United Methodist Church.
Survivors include Mr. Carrion's wife, Juanita Carrion also of Woodland; his daughter, Laura Dutra of Folsom; his sons, John Carrion of Colusa and Al Carrion of Yuba City; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Ted and Frank Carrion of Woodland and Willie Carrion of Florida.
The family requests memorials in Mr. Carrion's name be directed to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd. Sacramento, 95817, Attn: Donation Department/Judy Peralta.
Services: Memorial services is scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 8 at the Arbuckle United Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow services at the Arbuckle Cemetery. McNary Moore Funeral Service of Colusa is assisting the family with arrangements.
CARRION
Diego Ramirez Carrion
Diego Ramirez Carrion passed away on Jan. 21, 2003, in Vallejo, Born on Oct. 2, 1929 in Marchal de Lubrin Almeria, Spain, he was 73 years old.
A resident of Vacaville for 42 years, Mr. Carrion worked for American Home Foods for 26 years as a lineman and Basic Vegetables for seven years.
Mr. Carrion is survived by his wife of 46 years, Isabel; daughter and son-in-law Gloria and Jose Gomez of Winters; son and daughter-in-law Ernie and Shannon Carrion of Winters; grandchildren Jessica and Danny Gomez of Vacaville and Shawnea Carrion of Chico and Christopher Carrion of Winters; great-granddaughter Jocelyn Zavala of Vacaville; sisters Juana Carrion Ramirez of Spain, Ana Maria Rubio of Winters and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Carrion in 1961, his mother, Magdalena Carrion in 1981 and his great-granddaughter Alicia Zavala in 2000.
Visitation was held on Monday, Jan. 27, 2003 with a rosary recited at McCune Garden Chapel.
A Catholic prayer service was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at McCune Garden Chapel. Father Oscar Guttierez of St. Mary's Catholic Church presided. Interment followed at Fairmont Memorial Park in Fairfield.
CARRION
Frank Martin Carrion
Frank Martin Carrion died in Woodland Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, at age 48.
Born Feb. 25, 1954, Mr. Carrion was a native of Woodland. He attended Woodland High School. He was quite an accomplished floral designer, according to family members. He completed his horticulture studies at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Mr. Carrion previously was the owner and operator of University Flowers in Santa Barbara. Family members reported, Mr. Carrion was an avid Oakland Raider and San Francisco Giants fan. He enjoyed playing softball, riding motorcycles and treasured his Harley Davidson Model collection. He also loved music.
Mr. Carrion is survived by his parents, mother, Ann Brown, father, Frank R. Carrion and his wife Shirley, all of Woodland; and children, Alicia, Tony, and Kyle Carrion, all of Greenville, S.C.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alanibay and Karrisa; sisters, Sharon Fiddler of Acton, Diane Monroe of Southlake, Texas; brother, James Carrion of Camarillo; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27, at United Methodist Church, Woodland.
