Mary Jean (McWilliams) Adler
Mary Jean (McWilliams) Adler died peacefully July 1, 2005, at Sierra Health Care in Davis. She was 84.
She was born Oct. 19, 1920, in Mosby, Mont., the oldest of five children born to Charles and Mary Ellen McWilliams.
A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Davis Community Church, 412 C St.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry E. Adler, who was a longtime faculty member in the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis. He died
22 years ago.
She is survived by her six children, Claire Ivker of Israel, Lois Roussell of San Diego, Nancy Lowery of Fairfield, Ernest Adler of Carson City, Nev., Julie Adler Noyes of Richmond, Va. and Laura Kemp of Davis; 11 grandchildren, Sharon, Michelle and Joshua Ivker of Israel, Anna Marie Noyes of Richmond, Va., Gina Marie Roussell of San Diego, Mary Statham of Crescent City, Kenny Lowery of Fairfield, Benjamin, William and Meredith Adler of Carson City, Nev., and Renee Kemp of Davis; and six great-grandchildren, Kendra and Julius of Fairfield, and Niva, Nadov, Oz and Amos of Israel.
She also was survived by her younger brother, James McWilliams of Yuma, Ariz.
Her life was devoted to her children and grandchildren. For many years, she was actively involved with service to the Davis Community Church and to charitable causes throughout her community, She had a caring and giving nature, which was a true gift to all who knew her, her family said.

Stanley Adler (1st of 2 obituaries)
Stanley Adler, 71, passed away in Woodland on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004 with family members and his faithful service dog, Casey, at his side.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Dec. 2, 1932, he was a California resident since 1959, and resident of Woodland since 1994.
Mr. Adler served in the United States Air Force for a total of 10 years, working as a jet engine and aircraft mechanic, he attained the rank of staff sergeant, earning the National Defense Service Medal, German Occupation, and Good Conduct Medals, prior to his honorable discharge.
Over the years, he owned several property maintenance companies, a paint store, and a sandwich shop.
Rarely taking a day off, he loved his work, and was happiest when he was fixing or creating something.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Phyllis Adler of Woodland, daughters, Lynne Murray of Woodland, and Michelle Murray of Marysville, stepsons Sean Murray of Davis, and Scott Murray of Colorado, 16 stepgrandchildren and three great-stepgrandchildren.
He had a soft spot in his heart for animals and is survived by his pals Suzy, Angel, and Casey.
He was preceded in death by his stepson, Vance Murray in 2001 and his former wife Myra Adler in 2003.
The public is invited to join the family for a celebration of life for Stan, to share memories, to be held at the Odd Fellows Hall, 725 Main St., Suite 303 on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Stan's memory are made to Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue, 7495 Natomas Road, Elverta, 95626 or the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, 95817 or donor's choice.

AGNEW
Samuel Agnew
Samuel Agnew died in Woodland following a stroke Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, at age 80.
Born Feb. 19, 1923, in Monterey, Ind., Mr. Agnew grew up in Woodland and attended Woodland schools, including a one-room schoolhouse in Willow Oak Park. He served in the Air Force as a gunner with a B-24 Liberator in the 484 Bombardment Group of the 15th AAF operating in Italy and Africa during World War II in 1944. He worked for the Woodland Post Office for 34 years retiring as a rural mail carrier. He was active in Little League and Boy Scouts and was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ of Woodland.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Barbara Agnew of Woodland; children, Tom Agnew and wife Anita of Marysville, David Agnew of Las Vegas, and Diane Krause and husband Bruce; sister, Evelyn Chambers; nephew, Richard Chambers, all of Woodland; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Agnew and Gladys Hayes; and brother, Charles Agnew.
The family requests memorials be directed to St. John's United Church of Christ, 434 Cleveland St., Woodland. Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.
Services: A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Monument Hill Memorial Park, with the Rev. Bill Schroeder officiating.
AGUIAR
Mary Ann Aguiar
Mary Ann Aguiar dies after a long illness
A Memorial Mass was said at St. Anthony's Catholic Church Tuesday morning for Mary Ann Aguiar who died in Woodland Memorial Hospital Saturday, June 29, 1991 after a long illness.
Rosary services were held Monday evening at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Father Eugene Lucas officiated at the services. Private family inurnment services will be held at Winters Cemetery at a later date.
Mrs. Aguiar was born and raised in San Luis Obispo. She was 59.
A graduate of “Old Mission Parochial School” in San Luis Obispo, Mrs. Aguiar moved to Winters with her husband when he was hired as the Winters High School agriculture teacher 34 years ago. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Winters and a member of its Altar Society. She taught catechism classes at the church for 20 years. She was also a member of Soroptimist International of Winters.
Mrs. Aguiar is survived by her husband, Joseph F. Aguiar of Winters and four children: Cecilia Curry of Winters; Vincent Aguiar of Tempe, Arizona; Matthew Aguiar of Temecula; and John Aguiar of Winters. She is also survived by a brother, Thomas De La Rosa of San Bruno; three sisters: Rae Duenas of San Jose, Norma Dawsor of Hermosa Beach, and Bina Harrison of San Luis Obispo; and five grandchildren: Megan Curry and Elizabeth Curry, both of Winters; Kacey Aguiar and Sara Mary Ann Aguiar, both of Temecula; and Alexander Aguiar of Tempe, Arizona.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Mary Ann Aguiar Memorial Fund, in care of the First Northern Bank of Dixon, Winters Branch, 48 Main Street, Winters, CA 95694.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Smith's Colonial Chapel.
AGUILAR
Justo Grajeda Aguilar
Justo Grajeda Aguilar died in Sutter Oaks Convalescent Hospital in Sacramento, Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002 at age 55.
Born July 19, 1946 in Mexico to J. Natividad and Guadalupe Grajeda, Mr. Aguilar had been a resident of Yolo County for the past 30 years. Mr. Aguilar was an avid soccer fan and had worked at Spreckles Sugar for 30 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Herlinda Grajeda of Woodland; brothers Fransisco Grajeda-Aguilar and Jose Grajeda-Aguilar, both of Tonaya, Jalisco, Mexico, and Nestor Grajeda-Aguilar of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico; sisters Maria Socorro Grajeda of Woodland, Ninfa Grajeda Aguilar of Los Angeles and Maria de La Luz Cota of Fontata; as well as numerous nieces and nephews
A prayer service is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002 at McNary's
Chapel. Interment will be in Mexico.
McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
AGUILERA
Jeannette M. Aguilera
Jeannette M. Aguilera died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at Sutter Davis Hospital. Born in Brevard, N.C., on March 11, 1928, she was 75 years old.
She was one of two children born to Lawrence and Nora McCall. After graduating from Brevard High School, she came to California and began working for Hunt Wesson Food Company in Davis, where she met her husband, Tony James Aguilera. The two were marriage April 20, 1963, and raised four children. She later went to work for UC Davis in the dean's office for about five years before leaving to work as a legal secretary for the firm of Robert M. Cole, attorney at law. She worked there for 40 years.
She enjoyed traveling, especially cruises to destinations such as Spain, Panama, Rio de Janiero and Mexico. She also loved sports, especially baseball, football and horse racing. She was an avid fan of the Oakland A's and the San Francisco 49ers. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 6, 2000, and by her son, Dennis F. Keener. She is survived by her children, Lorry L. Keener of Winters; David J. Aguilera and his wife, Diana, of Davis; Rosalynne L. Tomson, and her husband, Mark, of Fairfield; and Chelle M. Aguilera, of Winters. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Joshua and Christina Aguilera and by her sister, Barbara Faye Jones, of Brevard, N.C.
A graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, at the Davis Cemetery, 820 Pole Line Road. Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Chapel.
