Mullard Raymond Correia
Mullard Raymond Correia died Saturday, May 15, 2004, at age 76.
Born Oct. 1, 1927, in Hayward, Mr. Correia had been a Yolo County resident for 18 years. He was mailman for 31 years and also was a professional photographer. He lived in Fremont until his retirement in 1986 when he moved to Woodland.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Diana Correia; daughters, Robyn and Kimberly Correia of Woodland, and Lora Morey and husband Bruce of Olympia; sister, Diane Stephenson and brothers, Norman Correia and Bob of Bessie, Okla.; four granddaughters and one grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Norbert Correia; mother, Eloise Correia; and granddaughter, Susie Morey.
The family requests memorials be directed to American Cancer Society; or to the charity of donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.
Services: A funeral service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, May 21, at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., with a burial to follow at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland.
CORRIGAN
Gertrude (Trudy) Bailey Corrigan
Gertrude (Trudy) Bailey Corrigan died of heart failure on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Courtyard Health Care Center in Davis. She was 94.
A funeral Mass begins at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, 2001 Mass Ave. in Lexington, Mass. Friends are also invited to visit with her family at 9:30 a.m. at Douglass Funeral Service, 51 Worthen Road, in Lexington.
Born Dec. 28, 1910, in Boston, she lived most of her life near Boston, including homes in Dorcester, Sommerville and Lexington. She moved to Davis in 2002 to be closer to family.
After raising two children, she attended and then graduated from Harvard in 1961. She worked as an executive secretary for a building construction company. She also volunteered many hours for various organizations, including McClean Hospital and Meals on Wheels.
She was preceded in death by her sister Eileen (Lolly) Bailey Ward in 1998, her brother Ulmont (Ully) Bailey in 2001, her daughter Janice Ward in 1985, and her son Jay Corrigan in 2000.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Stephen Corrigan of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; Cindy Limburg of Davis; and Gary Corrigan of Novato.
She is further survived by her niece, Carol Kras of Santa Ana; and by her great-granddaughters, Lauren and Julia Limburg of Davis.
Arrangements are under the direction of Douglass Funeral Service.
BLANK
Della Doris Blank
Della Doris Blank died in Woodland Memorial Hospital on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at age 82.
Born Oct. 21, 1921, in Hamden, N.Y., Mrs. Blank had been a Yolo County resident for 35 years. She was a registered nurse holding supervisory positions in the Emergency Room and Pediatrics Departments in New Brunswick, N.J. and nursing supervisor at Woodland Memorial Hospital. She was also a staff nurse in the recovery, Medical-Surgical and Intensive Care Unit areas in New Jersey. Mrs. Blank was a staff nurse at Delaware County Hospital in Walton, N.Y. as well.
Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Anna Ogden of Walton, N.Y.; brother, Tony Decker and wife Ginnie of Marion, Va.; daughters, Betsy Madison and husband Bob of Redding and Nancy Neiss of Alvarado, Texas; sons, John Neiss and wife Sue of Woodland, Mike Blank and wife Marla of Santa Margarita and Chris Blank and wife Carol of Bayside; and grandchildren, Brett and Ryan Rademaker, Jim Neiss, Adam and Tim Madison, Katie Rose Blank, and Brianna and Ben Blank. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Blank; son, Patrick Blank; and brother, John P. Decker.
The family requests memorials be directed to the charity of donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger of Sacramento.
Services: A celebration of her life is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at 201 Hacienda Lane, Woodland. Visitation will be on Friday, May 21, at Lyons Funeral Home, Walton, N.Y. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at Walton Cemetery of Walton, N.Y.
BLANKENSHIP
Merlin 'Mert' O. Blankenship
Merlin "Mert" Oliver Blankenship of Davis died Oct. 14, 2002, in Vacaville. Born April 8, 1925, in Mitchell, Neb., he was 77.
He spent his childhood days in Nebraska, and moved to California in the late 1940s. He lived in the Davis area until 1970 while working for the agronomy department at UC Davis.
After returning to Nebraska for a couple of years, he returned to California because he missed his family and friends, and settled in the Vallejo area. He greatly enjoyed being around his children and sharing in their activities.
Blankenship was a handyman and also enjoyed restoring antique engines and lawn mowers.
When he and his surviving wife, Diana, marriage, they moved to Vacaville, where they had lived for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Myland Blankenship; brother, Marvin Blankenship; and nephew, Marvin Hope.
In addition to his wife, Blankenship is survived by two sons, Wesley Blankenship of Represa and LaVar of Vallejo; a stepson, Jim Farmer of Sacramento; two sisters, Eloyce Hope of Vallejo and Donnie Barnhill of Rohnert Park; four grandchildren, Jamie, Tamra and Samantha Farmer of Sacramento and Nicolas of Vacaville; one great-grandchild, Hannah Farmer of Sacramento; and many nieces and nephews.
At his request, there will be no formal service. Inurnment will be private at a later date in Davis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
Arrangements were under the direction of McCune Garden Chapel.

Norma Alfreda (Lane) Still (1st of 2 obituaries)
Norma Alfreda (Lane) Still died at Cottonwood Healthcare, Woodland Monday, March 17, 2003, at age 88.
Born Jan. 24, 1915, in Truro, Nova Scotia, Mrs. Still had been a Yolo County resident for 62 years.
She graduated from Saskatoon City Hospital, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1934 as a registered nurse.
She worked in Middletown, N.Y. for five years and retired from Woodland Memorial Hospital in 1979 with 31 years of service.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, E. Clifford Still of Woodland; one brother; and several nieces and nephews in California and Canada.
She was preceded in death by her four sisters.
Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.
Services: Cremains burial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 515 Second St., Woodland.
Norma Still (2nd of 2 obituaries)
In Loving Memory of Norma Still, Born Jan. 24, 1915 to the late Alfred and Gertrude Lane in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada, passed away peacefully Monday, March 17, 2003.
She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Clifford Still, and one brother, Chester.
She had four sisters who preceded her in death.
She had two foster sons, one living and one deceased.
She has many nieces and nephews both here and in Canada.
When she was just four years of age her mother died from influenza.
Her father then cared for her and her siblings until she was nine when he re marriage.
She attended elementary and high school in Truro.
She attended nursing school in Saskatchewan, obtaining her R.N. degree in 1934, and then going to New York City to begin her long nursing career.
She then worked in Los Angeles and Fresno before coming to Woodland in 1941 to work at the Yolo County Hospital.
Here she met her husband, Clifford Still.
They briefly moved to San Rafael before returning to Woodland in 1943 where they have resided until the present time.
In 1992 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with many friends and family.
She completed her nursing career at the Woodland Memorial Hospital where she was the O.B. Supervisor until she retired in 1979.
All with whom she worked admired her and provided her with a splendid retirement party.
She was active in the California Nurses Association, working for the betterment of patient care.
She attended St. Luke's Episcopal Church and was active for many years.
She participated in fundraisers, rummage sales and bazaars donating the crafts that she made.
She loved to travel and visited many places throughout the U.S.A. and Canada.
She loved animals, having several beloved dogs and cats over the years.
McNary's Chapel of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral services at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Woodland at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, followed by a small reception.
HARVEY
David Calvis Harvey
David Calvis Harvey passed away peacefully on Oct. 22, 2004. He was born on Dec. 12, 1933 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Howard George and Lilly Elvira Nelson Harvey. He grew up in Wollaston, Massachusetts and graduated from North Quincy High School in 1951.
Mr. Harvey enlisted in the U.S. Air Force two days after graduating from high school, with a dream of becoming a pilot. His dream finally became a reality when he graduated from flight training in September 1961. After Basic Training, he was sent to Burtonwood Air Base in England. While there, Dave met Shelby Jean Bontye at chapel choir practice. They were marriage on Dec. 28, 1955 in Massachusetts.
The Air Force took the Harveys all over the United States, to France, and back to England before being stationed at Travis AFB when they moved to Winters in 1969. Mr. Harvey fulfilled a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1970 to 1971. He retired from the Air Force in 1971. He sold insurance and cars, before returning to college, earning a Masters Degree in elementary education and math in 1980. He taught for 12 years in Yolo and Solano county schools before retiring in 1992.
Mr. Harvey was active in the Pioneer Presbyterian Church and then the Church of Christ. He was on the Winters Planning Commission, a member of the Yolo County Grand Jury 1994-95 and assisted his wife extensively with her many activities and duties as a Girl Scout Leader and Leader Trainer. His labor of love lately had been with USAF OCS Class 57c alumni. He spent many tireless hours creating their alumni register and the regularly published newsletter.
Mr. Harvey's life had become so intertwined with his wife's that he was at a great loss when she passed away in September 2003. They are now reunited.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Irene and David C. Harvey Jr. of Shingle Springs; Vicki and Thomas Rasul Catterson of Yuba City, Donna and Jon Carey of Spanish Fork, Utah, and Mark and Ana Harvey of Winters; grandchildren, Bonnie Walsh of Citrus Heights, Ryan Harvey of Shingle Springs, Vanessa and Matthew Rasul and Talon Catterson of Yuba City, Rachael, Jake and McKaela Carey of Spanish Fork, Utah, and Stephen Hudson and Derek Harvey of Winters; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Hahn and Dylan Blalock of Citrus Heights.
A Memorial services will be held Friday, Oct. 30, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the Pioneer Presbyterian Church. Mr. Harvey's remains were donated to the UC Davis Medical Teaching Facility.
