Gordie Marie Snell
Gordie Marie Snell died on March 5, 2005, at Sierra Health Care in Davis. Born Sept. 7, 1909, in Mansfield, Texas, to George and Fannie Ray, she was 95.
A graveside funeral service begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Davis Cemetery, 820 Pole Line Road in Davis.
She was raised in Texas and taught school for several years. She and her late husband George owned and operated their own florist in For Worth, Texas, for more than 30 years. After the couple retired, they traveled throughout the United States and Canada for more than 20 years, before moving to Davis in 1989.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, George W. Snell, in February 1999.
She is survived by her son, Bob Snell and his wife Joy of Davis; her daughter, Shirley A. Nevile and her husband William of Canton, Texas; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Sierra Health Care for their fantastic care of her.

RONCORONI
Alfred Albert Roncoroni
Alfred A. Roncoroni passed away at St. John's Convalescent Hospital Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004 at the age of 89. He was born in Woodland April 12, 1915 to Inocente and Stella (Nardinelli) Roncoroni.
Alfred attended Woodland High School, graduating in 1935, and while at school he played football for all four years. Alfred was a member of the 1933 Woodland H.S. championship team. Shortly after graduating he took a "temporary" job with Union Storage, which later was bought by Adams, Schwab and Adams Grain Company on East Street, and it lasted more than 60 years. It was something he loved doing and he enjoyed being a part of the agriculture community of Yolo County.
Mr. Roncoroni was active in the Woodland chapter of the Future Farmers of America and the 4-H Clubs. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus chapter of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Mr. & Mrs. Dance Club of Woodland. He was an avid bird and deer hunter throughout his lifetime and enjoyed most being surrounded by his family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, Ernest J. Roncoroni and his wife Janette and John Roncoroni and his wife Sharon, all of Woodland, and his daughter, Sandra Cernansky and her husband Calvin of Pauma Valley. Grandchildren surviving him are Ernest A. Roncoroni and his wife Becci and Nicholas Roncoroni, all of Woodland, Stephen Cernansky and his wife Wendy of Pauma Valley; Richard Cernansky and his wife Corie of Corona and Jennifer Roncoroni of Woodland. Great-grandchildren surviving are Stephen Cital, Madeline Roncoroni, Conner Roncoroni, Jeremy Cernansky, Hannah Cernansky and Evan Marsell.
Surviving Albert also are his brother, Albert Rimoldi and his wife Pauline of Davis; his sister, Eva Fahn and her husband Casey of Chico; sister-in-law, Tootie Von Almen of Woodland and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Roncoroni is predeceased in May 2000 by his wife of 57 years, Julie Margaret (Pescaglini) Roncoroni and his brothers, Ernest Victor Roncoroni and Joseph Rimoldi.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 11 at Kraft Bros. Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland from 5 to 8 p.m. Deacon Ed Kull will be offering a prayer vigil beginning at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland Friday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Monument Hill Memorial Park.
The family requests memorial donations in Mr. Roncoroni's memory be made to St. John's Retirement Village, 135 Woodland Ave., Woodland, 95695 or the Yolo County 4-H.

ROONEY
Imelda Jean Rooney
Imelda Jean Rooney died in Calistoga Saturday, Feb. 5, 2004 at age 93.
Miss Rooney was born Oct. 9, 1911 in Woodland. She had been a Yolo County resident for 91 years. She was a teacher in Yolo County for 31 years and was a member of the Historical Society and the Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include Miss Rooney's many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Anna Doherty Rooney; her sister, Cecilia Feltes and her brothers, Frank, Stanley, Robert and William Rooney.
The family requests memorials in Miss Rooney's name be directed to Napa Valley Hospice, 414 Jefferson, Napa, 94559.
Services: A graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14 at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Woodland. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
HALL
Russann "Rusty" Hamblet Hall
Russann "Rusty" Hamblet Hall died Saturday, July 20, 2002, at age 43.
Born Aug. 21, 1958, in Woodland, Mrs. Hall graduated from Esparto High School in 1976. She attended Sacramento State University and the University of Colorado, Denver. She marriage Martin Hall on June 14, 1981 at the family ranch in Dunnigan. She owned and operated Angels Landing, Parker, Colo. She also consulted as vice president of Sales for The E. Comm Group, Denver, Colo. According to her family members, "she loved her angel collection. She enjoyed scrapbooking, reading, skiing, riding horses, river rafting and traveling. She had a very soft spot in her heart for all animals."
Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband, Martin Hall; daughter, Kristen Hall; son, Shaun Hall, all of Parker, Colo.; brother, Russel Moretto of Fresno; sister, Lisa McNeill and husband Kevin of Castle Rock, Colo.; mother, Mona Moretto of Dunnigan; father, Louis Moretto and wife Bess of Oroville; and grandmother, Elden "Nanny" Hamblet of Dunnigan.
A funeral Mass was conducted on Wednesday, July 24, at Ave Maria Catholic Church, Parker, Colo. Cremation will follow.
The family requests memorials be directed to Dumb Friends League, Denver, Colo.

HALLEY
Howard Theodore Keith Halley
Howard Theodore Keith Halley was born May 25, 1903, in Delamar. He died on May 7, 2005 in Auburn, at age 101. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Inga Halley, his sisters Mabel, Edith, Helen and Hazel, and brothers, Stanley, Robert and Norman Halley, of Winters. He is also survived by his wife of 55 years, Lucile Halley of Auburn, their two children, Edward Halley and wife, Laura, of Fountain Valley, Ruth Halley and husband Duncan Pherigo, of Sacramento. Mr. Halley had four grandchildren, Rachel, Jeremiah, Micah and Tirzah, and two step-grandchildren, Jessica and Sabrina. He also had four step-great grandchildren, Domenico, Danilo, Drake and Savannah.
Mr. Halley grew up on a farm in Cogswell, North Dakota. His family returned to California in 1919 in a new Oldsmobile car, with Howard driving, at age 15. He graduated from Winters High School in 1925 and had a variety of jobs in his life. In the 1920’s while working on airplanes in southern California he did some repairs on Amelia Earhart’s airplane. He also did body and fender work on automobiles in the 1920’s. During World War II Mr. Halley served in the Army Air Corp working on recruitment. He was stationed at Mather Field in Sacramento. In the early 1950’s he trained as an accountant and worked at C. Norman Peterson Construction Company (later Dillingham) in Berkeley, retiring after 18 years in 1970.
While living in the Bay Area, Howard and Lucile were members of the First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley where they enjoyed many years of fellowship and bringing up their children in the Christian faith. After living many years in Oakland, the Halleys enjoyed a long retirement together in Auburn.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 12 at 1 p.m. at Chapel of the Hills, 1331 Lincoln Way, Auburn. Interment will follow at the New Auburn Cemetery.
ROSALES
Maria De Jesus “Mom” Rosales
Mrs. Maria De Jesus “Mom” Rosales passed away on Nov. 6, 2005 in Teocaltiche, Jalisco, Mexico. A Winters resident for 52 years, she was 79 years old.
Mrs. Rosales was born on Feb. 24, 1926, in Teocaltiche, Jalisco, Mexico, and attended school in Mexico. She worked as both a farm laborer and a housewife. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Winters. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Balbino Rosales, of Winters; daughters Eusabia and her husband, Eligio, of Winters, Irene and her husband Mere, of Visalia, Martha and her husband, Poncho, of Arbuckle, and Berta, of Winters; sons Benjamin and his wife, Sandy, Manuel and his wife, Denise, and Alfredo and his wife, Mindy, all of Winters, and Gilberto, of Dixon; sister Candida, of Mexico and brother Claudio, of Mexico. She had 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, including Dolores, Yolanda, Candida, Erika, Cindy, Ben, Jr., Tabitha, Rosa, Joseph, Alicia, Little Manuel, Breanna, Lisa, Little Freddie, Christabel, Ponchito, Jesse and Gilberto, Jr.; also by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Tranquilina; sister Mercedes, and brother, Jose. A Rosary will be said on Monday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Burial will be at the Winters Cemetery.
