Ida Cristina Lammers
Ida Cristina Lammers died in Fort Bragg, Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, at age 85.
Born May 18, 1916, in Woodland, Mrs. Lammers was a 1935 Woodland High School graduate. She was raised on the family farm near the Yolo area until her marriage to Norbert (Bert) Lammers in 1937. The couple operated a farm in the Willow Oak area west of Woodland from 1947 to 1974. During that time, she became active as an exhibitor at the Yolo County Fair with the flowers and vegetables grown on the farm. She became one of the major exhibitors in floriculture and agriculture at the County Fair for a number of years. She and her husband retired from farming in 1974 and moved to the Mendocino Coast. She was known as "the plant lady" for the many plants she propagated and distributed.
Mrs. Lammers is survived by her daughter, Joan Howard of Sacramento; son, Don Lammers and wife Marilyn of Woodland; sisters, Ella Hulsman of Esparto and Leah Adams and husband Don of Kellsyville; grandchildren, Michelle Cannan, and John Lammers and wife Julie; and great-grandchildren, Lindsey Cannan, Nicholas Cannan, Jacob Cannan, and Rebecca Lammers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert (Bert) Lammers; mother, Lydia Nuss; father, Edward Nuss; and brother, Johnnie Nuss.
A memorial to be announced.
The family requests memorials be directed to diabetic-related charities.

HESS
Thomas R. Hess
Thomas R. Hess was surrounded by his loving wife, family and friends when he died April 3, 2001, at Rideout Memorial Hospital in Marysville. Born June 30, 1943, in Susanville, he was 57.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to 1969, then was employed by Pacific International Rice Mills for nearly 26 years.
He was an avid bass fisherman and loved to spend time in the Downieville area with his longtime friends, camping and four-wheeling with Big Steve, and watching professional wrestling with his grandson, Tanner.
He is survived by his love of 25 years, his wife Donna Hess; two daughters, Pam Burnsed of Woodland and Angel Martin and her husband Ed of Atrium, Fla.; a son, Tom Hess Jr. and his wife Tina of Eugene, Ore.; five grandchildren, Tanner Burnsed of Woodland, Amanda Armstrong of Texas, Krystal Armstrong of Atrium, and Clara and Kenny Hess of Eugene; a sister, Pat Mitchell and her husband Laverne of Marysville; a brother, John Hess of Reno; beloved Godchildren, Christina, Sarah and Chase; and cherished friends Tina and her husband Richard, Sandy and her husband Jesse, Anissa and Cathy.
He also is survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Delia Hess; a son, Jeff Burnsed; and a grandson, Cody Armstrong.
Visitation will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at McNary's Chapel in Woodland. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Monument Hill Cemetery in Woodland, followed by a gathering for all friends and family at Woodland United Fellowship, 240 N. West St. in Woodland.
HEWITT
Paul Silas Hewitt
Paul Silas Hewitt died in Sacramento on Feb. 13, 2006. He was 84.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 County Road 22 in Woodland. The Rev. Doug Zack of the New Testament Church will officiate.
Born in Blair, Neb., on Oct. 14, 1921, to Isaiah and Ida (Taylor) Hewitt, he moved to Madera when he was 20 and moved to Woodland in 1951. He worked for UC Davis and Hewitt and Pedroia Inc. and was employed in construction for a total of 44 years. He was a lifetime member of the New Testament Church in Woodland.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bernice Hewitt of Rancho Cordova; daughter, Jane Hanson and her husband Walt of Rancho Cordova; son, Paul Hewitt and his wife Carla of Woodland; sister, Rachel Hewitt of Rancho Cordova; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the New Testament Church, 108 W. Woodland Ave., Woodland.

Elisa Rubio Landín
Elisa Rubio Landín died in Woodland Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004 at age 79.
Mrs. Landín was born April 9, 1925 in Tamazula Jalisco, Mexico and had been a Yolo County resident for 20 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Woodland.
Survivors include Mrs. Landín's children Maria Luisa Landín, Rosa A. Landín, Francisco Javier Landín Sr. and his wife Obdulia, Ignacio Landín and his wife Rosa Maria, Aarón Landín, Sagrario Landín, Jose Gustavo Landín, Moises Landín and his partner Graciela, Maria del Carmen Landín and her husband Ignacio and Veronica Landín and her husband Angel; her grandchildren, Francisco Javier Jr., Elizabeth, Isabel, Patricia, Susana Alejandra, Alejandra, Ernesto, Omar, Ivette, Josesito, Manelisa, Andrea, Elisita and Adán and great-grandchildren Adair and Alondra. She was preceded in death by her husband Jose Landín Garcia and her daughter Carmelita Landín.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland. Interment will follow the service at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Metta Louise Reiley Ross Little Landes
Metta Louise Reiley Ross Little Landes, 77, of Beardstown, Ill., died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, in Rushville, Ill.
She was born July 12, 1927 in Moline, Ill, the daughter of James Whitcomb and Vera Hollenback Reiley. She marriage Bert A. Ross II on Feb. 13, 1944 and he preceded her in death. She marriage Jerry V. Little in Woodland and he preceded her in death. She marriage Harold "Bud" Landes in 1977.
Surviving is her son Bert A. Ross III of Rushville, Ill.; her daughter Susan L. (husband Ed) Jones of Rushville, Ill.; four granddaughters Lana S. Parrish of Rushville, Ill., and Metta L. Brown, Jamesie Zuniga, and Sallie Ross all of Woodland; eight great-grandchildren; her ex-husband and life companion Harold "Bud" Landes of Beardstown, Ill.; her sister Jeanette Haig of Magnolia, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son James Reiley Ross; seven brothers Jerry, Jack, Jean, Jiles, James, Kenneth, and Orrin Reiley; and her sister Lorna Allene Becker.
Mrs. Landes was raised and attended school in North Hollywood. She was formerly employed at nursing homes in Illinois, and most recently she was a caregiver. She especially enjoyed tending her flower garden (even hoeing weeds), attending auctions and yard sales, and playing Canasta.
Funeral services for Metta Landes will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at the Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown, Ill. with burial in the Browning (Illinois) Cemetery.
Memorials have been suggested to the Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville IL.
DeLEON
Eufilia Navarro DeLeon
Eufilia Navarro DeLeon died in Woodland Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004 at age 67.
Mrs. DeLeon was born Sept. 3, 1937 in El Paso, Texas and had been a Yolo County resident for 16 years. She was a graduate of Mt. Sac College in Walnut receiving an associate degree and worked within social services for three years.
Survivors include Mrs. DeLeon's daughter, Margarita Garcia and her husband Marco of Woodland, her son Jesse DeLeon of Sacramento, sister Guadalupe Zaragoza of Pomona, two granddaughters Angela Vidales and Marlyn Echavarria, five great-grandchildren Angel Garcia, Raymond Echavarria Jr., Alexys Martinez, Cristian and Damien Vidales.
Services: A vigil service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland. A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15 at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Woodland. Evergreen Funeral Services of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
DELGADO
Pablo Nunez Delgado
Pablo Nunez Delgado died at Woodland Memorial Hospital Saturday, April 9, 2005 at age 73.
Mr. Delgado was born Jan. 13, 1932 in Ciudad Atolinga, Zacatecas, Mexico to the late Encarnacion and Eliosa Nunez Delgado. He had been a Yolo County resident for 40 years. He worked as a field laborer and retired from the Contadina Foods Cannery after 33 years. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Survivors include Mr. Delgado's wife, Rojelia Sanchez Delgado; his daughters, Maria Sanchez and her husband Rutilio, Gloria Guzman and her husband Lorenzo, Yolanda Delgado and her husband Angel, all of Woodland and Teresa Ramirez and her husband Guillermo of Oxnard; his sons, Lorenzo Delgado of Woodland and Jaime Delgado and his wife Rebecca of Dixon; his grandchildren, Guillermo Ramirez Jr., Carla Serratos and her husband Alberto, Claudia Pacheco and her husband Raymond, Robert Ramirez, Lorenzo Antonio Guzman, Angel Delgado Jr., Natalie Ramirez, Carina Guzman, Jaime Miguel Delgado, Krystal Delgado, Erik Delgado and Nicolas Delgado; his great-grandson, Jonathan Daniel Ramirez; his sisters, Nolberta Delgado and her husband Manuel of Arteaga, Mexico and Victorina Bugarin and her husband Miguel of Woodland; his brother, Salvador Delgado of Guadalajara, Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Lorenzo Delgado.

Services: Visitation is scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. today, Thursday, at Kraft Bros. Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland. A Mass of Christian burial will be recited at 10 a.m. Friday, April 15 at Holy Rosary with Father Perez officiating. Interment to follow the service at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Kraft Bros.
