Patricia Ann Harrison (1st of 2 obituaries)
After a nine month illness and a courageous battle, Patricia Ann Harrison passed away June 13, 2005.
She is survived by her loving husband John Harrison of Woodland, daughter Roni Gallagher of San Diego, sons Roy Gallagher and his wife Debbie of Woodland, Ken Gallagher and his wife Theresa of Foresthill, Gene Secco and his wife Sandy of McMinnville, Ore., LeeAnn Secco Goodwin and her husband Dan of Rocklin, Eric Harrison and his wife Kathy of Panorama City and James Harrison and his friend Shari of San Luis Obispo.
She is also survived by grandchildren Robert and Bill Gaede, Cassie Gallagher, Richard Gallego, Heidi Eveland, Bradley Hoeper, Matt and Sydney Goodwin, Ireland Harrison, and Chase and Haley Harrison.
She was also the great-grandmother of Hunter Eveland and Colby Hoeper.
She was the adored sister of her twin brother Charles Price and his wife Barbara of Citrus Heights and Debra Johnson and her husband Chuck of Grass Valley.
She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lamar and Dorothy Price of Woodland and her son Gary Smith of Albuquerque, N.M.
Patricia was a bookkeeper at Heidrick Farms for more than 30 years and upon retiring she and her husband enjoyed traveling the country in their fifth-wheel.
She also enjoyed spending time with her family and particularly enjoyed the holidays.
A memorial service is planned for 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21 at Woodland Christian Church, located at College and Lincoln in Woodland.
A reception will be held in the church hall immediately following the service.

The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses from Woodland Memorial Hospital, Mercy General Hospital and Stanford Hospital who not only were comforting to Patricia but to the family as well.

Patricia Ann Harrison of Woodland died Monday, June 13, 2005 at age 71.
Mrs. Harrison was born July 11, 1933 in Marshall, Mo. She was a bookkeeper at Heidrick Farms for more than 30 years before retiring.

CRAMPTON
Veronica Crampton
Veronica Crampton died July 11, 2004, in Dixon. She was 81.
She was born Nov. 8, 1922, in Manchester, England, to Adam and Margaret Mullineaux. She served in the WAAF (Royal Air Force) during World War II. While serving in the war, she met Beecher Crampton in the 8th Air Force in 1943. They were marriage April 15, 1944, in Manchester, England.
She had been a Davis resident since 1953 before moving to the care home in Dixon. She was a member of the St. James Parish and with her husband was president of the local Mr. and Mrs. Club and later held statewide office in that organization. She was a member of the Catholic Ladies and served in the Rogers Store Heart Association.
She was employed for 25 years at UC Davis in food science and technology. She became an expert in processing olives for canning. She retired in 1988.
She was an active bridge player, seamstress and designer of clothes, and most importantly a homemaker, bearing and raising six children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Beecher, in August 2002, and her parents, Adam and Margaret Mullineaux.
She is survived by her children, Vivien Cramption of Fair Oaks, Paul Cramption of Tracy, Gregory Crampton of Eugene, Ore., Barbara Thomen of Los Banos, Rita Crampton of Sacramento and Mark Crampton of Eugene, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic Church, 1275 B St. in Davis. A funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Friday, also at St. James. Burial will be private.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, CA 95617.
Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel in Woodland.
KNABKE
William Henry Knabke
A funeral Mass for William Henry Knabke, 89, of Winters, was held at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000 in St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Winters Cemetery.
Born Jan. 29, 1911, in Cupertino, he died Feb. 14, 2000, in Sacramento after a brief illness.
Mr. Knabke had been a lifelong farmer and lived in Winters since 1977 after moving from Sunnyvale. He was a member of St. Anthony, enjoyed his family and friends, and world travel, hunting, and fishing.
Mr. Knabke is survived by Josephine, his wife of 58 years; sons, Bill and John, both of Winters, and Jim of Clovis; brothers, Robert Knabke of Acompo and Leo Knabke of San Martin; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Joe and Frank.
Flowers will be accepted or a memorial contribution may be made to the church, Third and Main streets, Winters, 95694. Or, to The Abby house, c/o St. Anthony Parish, P.O. Box 986, Winters, 95694.
Arrangement were under the direction of Smith's Colonial Chapel.
LEE
Ellen Chang Lee
Ellen Chang Lee, a 41-year resident of Davis, died Aug. 2, 2005, at Sutter Davis Hospital, due to cancer complications. Born on May 17, 1923, in China, she was 82 years old.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday at 1 p.m. at the Davis Community Church, 412 C St. in Davis. Private burial will take place at the Davis Cemetery.
She was raised in China where she attended school and university. After World War II, she marriage Fang J. Lee in China and the couple moved to Hawaii, where her husband served as Chinese vice consul to the United States.
After the couple moved to Berkeley, she worked in a San Francisco financial institution and was a part-time graduate student while supporting her husband's graduate school education. Soon after, the couple moved to East Lansing, Mich. She and her family moved to Davis in 1964, where she worked for UC Davis in the accounting department for 19 years until retiring in 1987.
She was an excellent cook and enjoyed hosting dinners as well as experiencing new restaurants.
Her friends and family described her as a generous and friendly person who dearly loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fang Lee, on Dec. 30, 1987.
She is survived by her son, Raymond of San Francisco, and her four brothers, Lu Chang, Ri Chang, An Chang, and B.L. Wang, all of China.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Chapel.
HART
Dorothy Bernice Hart
Dorothy Bernice Hart died June 25, 2003, in Davis. She was 83.
She was born May 22, 1921, in Caruthers to Benson and Lula Mitchell, and grew up as a farm girl during the Depression. She graduated from San Benito High School and Junior College in 1939, then attended San Jose State College. There she met her husband of 52 years, Winfield.
She later worked as medical librarian and as the manager of the bookstore store at Sacramento State University.
A lover of wild places, Dorothy took fishing trips to Alaska and Chile and enjoyed nothing more than trout fishing in a high Montana river on a clear summer morning. She will be remembered for her laughing eyes as she landed a big trout, her family said, and for enriching many lives with her humor, energy and compassion.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 2000.
She is survived by her sons Michael, Stephen and Daniel; grandchildren Alicia, Nathan, Emily, David, Damon and Shane; great-granddaughters Justice and Hallie; and sister, Jean.
A service is planned for both Dorothy and Winfield in the fall in Santa Cruz. Friends are encouraged to contact the family.
LeCOUTEUR
Jacqueline Louise LeCouteur
Jacqueline Louise LeCouteur died peacefully at home on April 27, 2003, after a long battle with breast cancer. Born April 20, 1952, in Montreal, Canada, she was 51.
A memorial service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Davis Community Church, 412 C St. A reception will follow.
Her family requests that donations may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Jacqueline LeCouteur Memorial Fund to support breast cancer research under the direction of Dr. Helen Chew at the UC Davis Medical Center.

CRANDALL
Arlynne Therese Crandall
Arlynne Therese Crandall died in Davis on Nov. 12, 2005, while riding her bicycle on a West Davis greenbelt. She was 39.
A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Davis High School Performing Arts Center, 315 W. 14th St. The public is welcome.
She was born on Jan. 4, 1966, in Houston, Texas, the youngest of nine children. A year later, she moved to Missoula, Mont., and at the age of 10 moved to Santa Rosa, where she graduated from Ursuline High School in 1985.
She loved athletics and participated in numerous sports throughout her lifetime. Her love for basketball began in the fourth grade, when she joined an all-boys team. Shen she was a freshman in high school, standing 5-foot-2, she started on the varsity team and scored 126 points that year.
She fell ill with cancer in her sophomore year, lost a lung and lost the ability to do many of the things she loved. Her strong will, determination and good health care pulled her through.
She attended San Diego State University, San Francisco State University and graduated from Sacramento State University with a degree in education.
She was hired at Davis High School in 2002 to teach photography and art history.
She loved her job and her students; “it was her life, ” her family said. “In the few short years that she taught she had accomplished much.”
She chaired the DHS art department, was a Pathways co-coordinator and advised the senior class. She also loved golf, swimming, tennis, Rollerblading, football, soccer, writing, poetry, museums and all forms of art. She also made annual summer visits to Montana to visit family and enjoy the outdoors.
She never had children of her own, but took a passionate interest in her 21 nieces and nephews, following their sports, academics, music and personal lives.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Ann Crandall, and her infant brother Arthur.
She is survived by her father, Arthur Vondal Crandall of Kalispell, Mont., and her siblings, Michelle Dauenhauer, Roxanne Baker, Bill Crandall, Rob Crandall, Mimi Lampert, Beth Rotteveel and Yvonne Petrunin, as well as her nieces and nephews, Joey, Sam, Nick, Breanna, Becky, Rob, Jayme, Lindsay, Lauren, Kyle, Corey, Amanda, Sarah, Hannah, Brian, Yvonne, Rachel, Marc, Hans, Dmitri and Kira.
