Devoted Dad to Scott and his wife Eden Oliver and Ann and her husband Ronji Borooah. Beloved grandfather of Maya and Donna. Brother of the late Christina Fairley Misener. Veteran of W.W. II, Bomber Command; GCHQ Liaison, London, Suez Crisis, 1956; Squadron Leader, RCAF; Director General, Communications Security Establishment, DND; avid fisherman (the “great trouter”) and model railroader (“Cobalt Junction”); poker, bridge and snooker enthusiast among many friends in Ottawa and Port 32. Fern Flowers - Fern passed away after a short battle with cancer, with her family at her side, at Ross Memorial Hospital on Saturday, August 28th, 2004. Fern was the loving partner of her late husband Ken. Loving mother of son Dave and his wife Linda. Proud grandmother of Darryl and his wife Lori and Cindy and her fiancé Brent. Fern is also survived by siblings Thelma, Wayne, Bud, Joyce and Lloyd, all of western Canada, and the late Lucy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
