Woodrow Junkin, beloved husband of Verna Junkin (née Stevenson) and the late Armena Martin. Loved and admired by Woodrow and Verna’s children Keith (Merilyn) of Lindsay; Bernice, at home; Dr. Shirley Junkin (Chuck) of Kamloops, BC; and Norman (Linda) of Bobcaygeon. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Heather Takahashi of New York; Dr. Jennifer Takahashi (Anders) of Kamloops, BC; David Junkin (Maria) of Bolton; Ann Marie Foster (Jeff) of Fenelon Falls ; Christine Junkin, Steven Junkin and Connie Paquette (Brian) of Bobcaygeon. Treasured great-grandfather of Jacob, Brayden, Linnea, Sabrina, Ashley, Ryan and Rachel. Dear brother of Sheila Purdy and Percy Junkin and the late Ken, Neil and Aileen McNeven. Brother-in-law to Doreen Junkin and Eileen Junkin. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Woodrow was born in Bobcaygeon to the late Sarah Purdy and Charles Junkin and resided there most of his life. Woodrow was very community minded and served on Town Council, helped with the building of the Bobcaygeon Arena and the Dream Reality of Kawartha Settlers Village. He was a renowned electrician and plumber. The family is deeply grateful for the wonderful, compassionate care he received at Caressant Care Nursing Home. In fond and loving memory of Minnetta Moore who passed away at her home in Bobcaygeon on Friday, June 18, 2004 at the age of 102. Wife of the late Mahlon Moore.
