Robbins, Thelma- Peacefully on Tuesday August 7, 2007 at St. Peter's Long Term Care Residence at Chedoke. Loving wife and friend of Dennis for 58 years. Thelma was a loving daughter of the late Myrtle and Arthur Metcalfe and is also pre-deceased by her sisters Ruby (Glen Phibbs) of St Thomas; Louise (Young) of Burlington; and Velva (John Werby) of Woodstock. She is survived by her brother in law Ray Young of Burlington. Thelma was a cherished aunt of Michael, Peter, Janice; (Young), Dawn and Kent (Phibbs); and Pat, Mike, Dan and Steve (deceased) Werby. A special thank you to the staff and nurses at St. Joseph's Hospital and St. Peter's Long Term Care Residence at Chedoke for their compassion and care of Thelma. Friends will be received by the family Friday August 10, 2007 from 10 a.m. until the Celebration of Thelma's Life at 11 am at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. An Interment will follow at Grove Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
Lethbridge, Muriel D. - passed away peacefully at Ridgeview Long Term Care on August 6, 20007, in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Lethbridge. Will be sadly missed by David, Wendy, Paul, Donny, Gary, Randy, Tom, Les and many grandchildren and friends. Cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral service. A special thanks to staff at Ridgeview, Sara Caulder House. Your compassion and care was greatly appreciated. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
Dillman, Harold Robert - January 31, 1934 - August 3, 2007 - Passed peacefully away at McMaster Medical Centre on Friday, August 3, 2007 in his 74th year. Loving husband of 50 years to Audrey (nee Varley) and loving father to Richard (Bev), Peggy-Sue Paterson (James) and Rob. Missed always by his granddaughters Breghan Paterson, Amanda, Sam, Kerri, Kellie and Erin Dillman. Remembered always by his sisters Carol (Matt), Joan (Gerret), Barb (Fred), Ruth (Joe) and Cathy (Norm) and brothers-in-law Roy Varley (Faye) and Ron Varley (Nancy). Predeceased by sisters Shirley DeJong, Elsie Peer and Mary Dalton and brother John. A special thank you to the Cancer Assistance Program who so willingly donated supplies to help make Harold's illness a little more tolerable as well as the CCAC and CRCU at McMaster for all their help and support. Friends will be received by the family on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Cremation will follow. A Graveside Service will take place at BURLINGTON MEMORIAL GARDENS, 3353 Guelph Line, Burlington on Friday, August 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Cancer Assistance Program would be appreciated by the family.
Steele, William Carswell "Bill" - With family by his side, Bill passed away peacefully on January 19, 2008. Husband of 59 years and longtime friend of Betty (nee Scott) of Dundas. Beloved father of Susan, Barbara (Gregg), and Robert (Cheryl). Loved grandfather of Sandra, Shane, Keith, Kristen, Renee (Scott), Rachel and Tyler and great-grandfather of Brianna, Chase and Carson. Dearly loved by his wife Anna, daughter Kim Gagnon (Bryan) and sons Lester (Dorothea) and Craig. Missed and loved by his grandchildren Perri (Paul Dayco), Diana, Russell and Christopher. Armstrong, John "Keith" - P.Eng of Dundas passed peacefully at home on January 17, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Janet (nee Wade), dear father of Steve (Lynn), Dave and Linda (Blake). Adoring grandfather of Rachel, Evan, Kori and Taya. Dearly loved uncle of Mary Ellen and Gary Lefebvre and their family Michael and Stephanie. Brother-in-law Bob Wade (Helen) and his family Scott and Wendy Wade (Bethany and Matthew), Shelley Lalani (Shaelyn) and Rob and Penny Wade (Alexia). Keith spent many years building and flying model gliders with his friends at SOGGI. The family would like to thank Dr. Lauren Woods, Dr. Gerrard Cox, Cathy, Wendy, Diane, Marg and Greg for their compassion and support. Sturrock, Patricia Eileen (nee Grayson) - passed away peacefully January 15, 2008 in her 97th year in her own home where she has been loved so much. She has gone to rejoin her beloved husband, Jim, sister, Bernice and brother, Douglas. She has left behind her loving daughter, Nancy Sturrock Fraser, four nephews (and their families) Michael, Peter, Chris and David Grayson and her sister-in-law, Eileen Allen. Pat was a golfer and later social member of the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club for many years. She was a lifetime member of the Church of the Ascension. A special thank you to Stacey Taylor for her wonderful care and kindness during the past year and a half. Another thank you to our friend, Angie Koshul for her support and kindness. You are both very special people. A private Graveside Service will be held. Ferry, Michael Joseph - Suddenly at his home on Sunday, January 13, 2008, in his 60th year. Predeceased by his parents and his brother Tony. Survived by his sister Bernadette (Mike); brothers Adrian (Cathy), Columba and Gabriel, nieces; Dominique, Susan, Alison and Julie and his nephews; Adam and David. Also survived by several great nieces and nephews. Michael was a strong proponent of World Government. Martin, R. J. "Jack" - At his home on Thursday, January 10, 2008, beloved husband of the late Ismay Martin, in his 94th year. Predeceased by his sister Isobel Swan, and niece Barbara Martin and survived by his brothers Harold and George, niece Jane Martin, and nephews; Paul and David Martin, and James and George Swan. Great uncle to Kathryn, Jennifer and Erica Swan and Catherine and Elizabeth Stratton. Jack was a teacher with the HWDSB for over 40 years. Friends will be received by the family on Saturday morning from 10 until the time of Jack's Service at 11 o'clock at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, with a reception to follow next door at the Cattel Centre. Interment in Palmerston Cemetery. Henderson, Edith Harriet (nee Binkley) - Peacefully at McMaster Hospital on Sunday, January 6, 2008, in her 94th year. Predeceased by her husband Gordon (2004) and her sister Doris. Survived by her nephews Donald and David Lawson and their families. As per Edith's wishes, a graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt.
