Steinke, Arnold - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arnold on April 5th, 2003, in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Erica for 50 years and loving father of Susan Lacey (Don), Rose Saunders (Jeff), Peter Steinke (Karen) and John Steinke (Carolyn). Cherished Opa to Erin, Trevor, Jack, Emma, Leah and Oliver. Dear brother to Ed and Hedi Maciulis, Irene and Osamu Kunii, Floretta and Gerry Scudder and broother-in-law to Ingrid and Mel Betty. Survived by his mother Helen and John Maciulis and will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends in Canada, the USA and Germany. Arnold was born in Lithuania and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He is the founder and president of Arnold Die Casting. Arnold had a great love for tennis and golf and boasted two holes in one. Friends will be received by the family on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, where the Service for Arnold will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Bennitt, Agnes "Nancy" - at McMaster Hospital on Thursday April 3, 2003, beloved wife of the late John Bennitt, of Dundas, in her 90th year. Dear mother of Catherine and her husband William Morrow of Hamilton and loving grandmother of Ian and Emily and sadly missed by many neices and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her parents William and Janet McDougall, her grandson Dan, her sisters Ina, Jean and Janet and her brother Dan. Nancy was a lifetime and very active member of Knox Presbyterian Church. Friends will be received by the family on Sunday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Howson, Eva May - Peacefully at St. Joseph's Villa, Dundas, on Monday, March 31, 2003, beloved wife of the late Sydney, in her 91st year. Dear sister of Fred Chanter and his wife Madeleine of Garden City, Michigan, George Chanter and his wife Lois of Parma Heights, Ohio and Edward Chanter and the late Etta of Dundas. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada and the U.S.A. Eva was a lifelong member of St. James Anglican Church in Dundas. Bibby, Emily Elizabeth "Em" - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Emily (Em) Elizabeth Bibby, on Thursday, March 27, 2003, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Sydney James Bibby. Cherished mother of J.M. (Cody Lee) Bibby. Loving and devoted Nan of Skylar Maracle. She will be deeply missed by Ronald and Cynthia Maracle. Em was a former volunteer at St. Joseph's Villa and a past member of the Hamilton Quota Club, Ancaster Lawn Bowling, Hamilton Carpet Bowling and West Plains United Church in Burlington. She leaves behind many warm and loving friends and staff at St. Joseph's Villa, whose time and dedication will always be remembered. Thanks to the team on 3X at MUMC. Special thanks to Moira Leggate for her support at this difficult time and to Pam Jamieson and Carolyn Bayne for always being there. Law, Harry - Life long Dundas resident and politician. From a broken heart due to his recent loss of wife Mary (Hinder). A man that served family, friends and community with the same honesty and integrity that was his character in 18 years of public service to the Town of Dundas. His wit and wisdom will be missed by all. Father to Jamie and Tom and step-father to David and Judi. Grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Gumbert, Abraham Francis - (Retired from the HSR) Peacefully at St. Joseph's Villa on Tuesday July 8, 2003, beloved husband of Doris (nee Mabee), of Hamilton, in his 84th year. Sadly missed by his granddaughter Andrea (James Straughan), his 3 great grandsons; Ryan, Christopher and Connor, his daughter-in-law Karen Wessner, his 2 sisters Dorles Abel and Kathleen (Carl Halper), and his sisters-in-law Margaret and Nora Gumbert and his brother-in-law Bruce Roberts. Predeceased by his brothers Orland, Laverne and Leroy and his sisters Evelyn, Blanche and Doreen. Abraham served overseas during WW II with the Queens Own Rifles and was a member of the Mohawk Trail Retirees Golf Group. Loving grandmother to Gary Wright (Carolyn), Allen Wright, Jonathon Wright, Anna Marie Wright, Gary Murray (Debbie), Marilyn Beaty (Glenn) and Lisa Cillessen, and greatgrandmother of 4. Also survived by her siblings Doris Schofield of Agincourt, George Lowry (Cecilia) of Brantford, Ken Lowry (Doreen) of Bobcaygeon and her sister-in-law Helen Lowry of Waterville. Hilda is predeceased by her children Merwin and Wyllis and her brother John Lowry.
