Harper, Ruth Agnes - Peacefully at St. Joseph's Villa on Monday, March 28, 2005 in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband Bruce Harper. Loving mother of Ian (Dianne), David (Susan), Craig (Suzanne), Colin (Susan), Sam (Lisa) and Nancy (Stephen). Fondly remembered by daughter-in-law Nancy Harper. Loved always by sisters Florence (Dave Watson) and Wilma MacPherson, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Leila and Henry Benner, her brother Arthur and sister Margaret Weldon. Ruth was the owner of Harper's Garden Centre Ltd. A private celebration of Ruth's life will take place. In honour of Ruth's heritage, donations to Dudley Farm Historic State Park, 18730 West New Berry, Florida, USA, 23669 (payable to Dudley Farm Historic State Hosp), would be appreciated by the family.
Stafford, John Richard "Dick" - Peacefully at McMaster Hospital, with his family by his side, on Saturday, March 26, 2005, beloved husband of Dene (nee Cruickshanks), of Dundas, at the age of 68 years. Dear father of John (Karen) of Ancaster, Diane (Scott Monds) of Dundas and Jason (Jennifer) of Ancaster. Loving grandfather of Kyle, Taylor, Scott, Joey and Aaron and sadly missed by his mother Nellie of Dundas; his brother Michael (Hughette) of Burlington; sisters Betty Ward of Dundas and Cheryl Hanrahan (Jim Blinkhorn) of Dundas, his brothers-in-law Bob (Kathleen) and Paul, both of Dundas. Also sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received by the family on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. The Service for Dick will be held Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at BINKLEY UNITED CHURCH, Main Street West, Hamilton. Interment White Chapel Cemetery. Caco, Madeline Evelyn - September 12, 1915 - March 24, 2005. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother in her 90th year. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew. Madeline was the mother of Robert (Mary), Don (Pat), Joe (Loretta), Anna (Bob), Pat, Chris (Tara) and Larry (Virginia). Her loving pets Molly and Mindy will also miss her. She will be dearly missed by her siblings Joe (Elsie), Stan (Barabar), Frank (Dale), Mickey and Marion. She was predeceased by her brothers Albert and George and sister Florence. Grandmom Caco will be missed by Karen, Mary Pat, Dan, Colleen, Tony, Judy, Lynn, John, Cathie, Marilyn, Rob, Sandy, Joe (deceased), Tina, Tom, Brad, Michelle, Kim, Chris, Eric and Melanie. Madeline was the great-grandmother of Claire, Sarah, Andrew, Bradley, Jennifer, Daniel, Paula, Jillian, Sean, Dominick, Dorian, Amanda, Christopher, Jonathan, Alycia, Catharine, Michael, Alex, Sara, Madeline, Danielle, Jacob, Thomas, Kaitlyn and Tessa. Madeline was an active member of the YWCA Fun Band and the Sackville Ukulele Band and will be deeply missed. Friends will be received by the family on Saturday, March 26 from 2-4 p.m. and Sunday, March 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Cattel, Eaton and Chambers Funeral Home located at 53 Main Street, Dundas. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 28 at ST. AUGUSTINE'S CHURCH, 58 Sydenham Road, Dundas. Madeline will rest with her husband at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Bailey, Edward Horsman "Ted" - Suddenly at the Hamilton General Hospital on Wednesday March 23, 2005, beloved husband of the late Ella (nee Manning), in his 87th year. Dear father of Roberta Bailey and her husband Bill Carson of Dundas and sadly missed by his many friends at the Dundas Senior Centre. Ted was a member of Valley Lodge # 100 A.F. & A.M. As per Ted's wishes, cremation has taken place with a private Interment of his ashes at a later date.
Fletcher, Margaret Elizabeth (nee DeLottinville) - Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday March 20, 2005, in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of the late Harold and loving and devoted mother to Patricia Grant (Buddy), Gary, Eddie (Debra) and Susan Grant (Ron) all of Brantford, predeceased by her son William. Grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 5. Sadly missed by her sisters Mildred Kiehl, Winnifred Rodregue, Audrey Fama, Blanche Russell (William), Joyce Crozier, Leona Howe (Archie), and her brothers Bruce (Lillian), Edward (Louise) and Wayne (Beverly). Predeceased by her brother Clifford and sisters Marie Armitage, Dorothy Cumming, Helen Emery and Reta McNab. Young, Elsie (nee Riley) - At St. Joseph's Villa on June 8, 2006, Elsie Young passed away peacefully at the age of 77. Beatty, William Whitney Lloyd "Bill" - at McMaster Hospital on Tuesday June 6, 2006, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Hoth, in his 89th year. Loving father of Stephanie Nichol (Harley), William (Joan), Robert, Tony and Stuart. Grandfather of Lola Jones (Rob), Darren Nichol (Debbie), Jennifer, Steven and Sarah and great grandfather of Veronica and Krista Nichol. Sadly missed by his sisters Donna Dickert and Barbara Balson and her husband Daryl, predeceased by his sister Betty Clark and brothers-in-law Ralph and Jim. Bill served as a Flight Lieutenant during WW II. Kingdon, Richard C. "Dick" - 3rd December 1932, Shawville, Quebec - 5th June 2006, Hamilton, Ontario. passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital in his 74th year. Dear husband of Beatrice (Hill) of Dundas; loving dad and poppa of Patti of Calgary and her children Chrissy, Rick and Sean; Luann and Mark Reynolds of Dunnville and their children Wesley, Elyse, Evan and Rebecca; Ken at home; and Elise and Dan Gallant of Ancaster and their boys Michael and Jason; and three great-grandchildren Tatjna, Sapphire and Landin. Loving brother of John and Theresa Kingdon, Stoney Creek, Ann Vincent (Late Ken) of Renfrew; the Late David Kingdon and his wife Doris of Ottawa, Bob and Geneva Kingdon of Shawville, Quebec. Brother-in-law of Harry and Pat Hill, Port Sydney and Bruce and Marylin Hill, Dundas; Uncle Dick to numerous nieces and nephews. Dick put in 40 years service at Stelco #1 Bloom and Billet Mill, was a member of St. Andrew's Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. Special thanks to the staff at St. Peter's for making his last few weeks more comfortable. Doll, Melvin James - Peacefully in his 94th year at the Henderson Hospital on May 30th, 2006. Mel has joined his devoted and loving wife Doris (nee Davidson) of 60 years. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Jennifer MacLean (Brian); and grandchildren Ian (Michele); Kevin (Christy); Colleen Kaus (Don); and Great grandson Jared. Son Jeffrey (Marilyn); and grandsons Christopher and Mark. Predeceased by his brother Lincoln and survived by sisters Kae Soden and Helen Dahms. A WWII Navy Veteran, elder and trustee at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, member of Ancient Landmarks Lodge and the Scottish Rite Mel (32 degree). Mel also had a passion for golf and curling and was active until his final days. A special thanks to those who supported and loved Mel and made his life so complete. Friends will be received by the family Sunday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9 with a Masonic Service to follow at the Cattel, Eaton and Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, 11:00 a.m. at ST. PAUL'S PRESBYTERIAN CHRUCH, 70 James Street South, Hamilton. Reception will follow the Service at the Scottish Rite. Jorey, William (Bill) - Died peacefully May 29, 2006 on his 82nd birthday. Predeceased by his first wife Bernice Jorey (nee Walker) and predeceased by his loving partner Bea Amos. Will be deeply missed by his daughter Karen and her partner Catherine and his grandchildren Phil, Heather and Hal. Brother to Marguerite O'Hara, St. Catharines, Robert Jorey, Hamilton, Gord and sister-in-law Roberta, Grimsby, son Allan and his family, Dundas, many cousins, nieces, nephews and other close friends and relatives. Bill was a former employee of Cooper Construction. Friends will be received by the family on Friday afternoon for a Graveside Service at 2:00 p.m. at WHITE CHAPEL MEMORIAL GARDENS. Barnett, Ivy Florence (nee Watson) - On Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at the Hamilton General Hospital in her 93rd year with family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Richard (Dick) in 1991. Forever loved by her daughters Lorraine Hyatt (Ken) and Brenda Carson and her son Glenn Barnett (Ann). Remembered dearly by her cherished granchildren Brian, Kim, Gordon, Tara, Cindy, Krista and Sean and her two great-grandchildren Alina and Emilia. Predeceased by her three sisters and four brothers.
