Anderson, Bruce Andrew - Passed peacefully at McMaster University Hospital on Saturday, June 9, 2007 in his 82nd year. Predeceased by his wife Marjorie and brother Donald. Will be dearly missed by long time friends Barbara and Gordon McPartlin and their children Maureen and Brad. In keeping with Bruce's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private Interment will take place at a later date. If so desired, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Bagshaw, Kathryne Jacqueline (nee Fox) - Peacefully at home with her family by her side on Tuesday June 5, 2007. Loving wife and friend of Fred for 15 years. Predeceased by Edward Cliff (1985). Kathryne is survived by her mother Margaret Fox and predeceased by her father Jack. Cherished mother of Karen (John) Ryckman, Sharon (Bob) Caddick, Edward and companion Anna Cliff and Kimberly (William) Warden. Sadly missed by her brother John (Anne) Fox and sisters Denise (Ray) Busby, Judy (John) Nowacki, Maureen (Joe) Adams and predeceased by Ellen (John) Young. Remembered always by her grandchildren Amber, Kyle, Taylor, Alex and Taylor and great-grandchildren Jenny and Cody. Kathryne will also be sadly missed by Karen and Jim Carpenter. A special thank-you to the nursing staff of the VON and St. Elizabeth's Home Care. A Celebration of Kathyrne's Life will take place on Friday June 8, 2007 at the Cattel Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas at 2p.m. A private family Interment has already taken place. Cooley, Roland Brian - Peacefully at his home on Hatt Street with family nearby, on Monday, June 4, 2007 in his 47th year. Predeceased by his father Roland Sr. in 2006. Always loved and missed by his mom, Diane, brother Roger (Debbie) and sister Barb (Shawn) and close friend Linda and all his nieces and nephews. Roland enjoyed baseball and hockey and was a team player with the Wednesday Night Baseball League and the BCL Hockey team. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Henderson Hospital for their kindness, compassion and friendship and who will probably always remember Roland for bringing them baked goods. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday evening from 7-9 at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, where Roland's Service will take place on Friday at 11 o'clock. Foster , Donna Wilma (nee Nancekivell) - Peacefully at home with family by her side on Sunday, June 3, 2007 in her 61st year. Beloved wife of Dale and loving mother to Robert (Audrey), Jacqueline Ward (Late Lyle) and Rosalind Glousher (Jeremy). Predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Bess Nancekivell, daughter Patricia Munro and sister Mary Allen. Missed dearly by her brother William (Nancy) and son-in-law Keith. Remembered always by her grandchildren Mathew, Tony, Michael and Stephen. Lang, M. Eleanore - Peacefully in her 92nd year at Streamway Villa in Cobourg, Ontario. Loving wife of the late John "Jack" Lang (1998). Much loved and admired mother of Margaret W. Kropf of Cobourg. Cherished sister of the late Alan Bell, Hugh Bell and survived by Lex Bell. Eleanore will be fondly remembered by her 2 grandchildren Jacqueline Kropf of Canmore Alberta and Stephan Kropf of Quesnel BC. Eleanore was a vibrant articulate women who will be missed by many friends and neighbors. Much loved brother to Cesia Blaszyk, Wacka Domanska, Leszek Wiszniewski and predeceased by sister Zuitka Janicki. Ziggy will also be sadly missed by his nine grandchildren James, Joseph, Mike, Danny, Andrew, Amanda, Christine, David and Trevor. Hartsell, Thalia - Suddenly at McMaster Hospital on Thursday, May 3, 2007, in her 80th year. Thalia will be dearly missed by her friend and caregiver, Nora Rigo, her sister Madeline, step-brothers Larry and Lester, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Elwood and Gerald. Thalia was a dedicated volunteer with the Salvation Army, as Cub Leader for 10 years and a member of the Salvation Army Band. Thalia retired from Stelco Steel in 1986, after 30 years of service. Schipper, Herta Frieda - After a courageous battle with cancer, at St. Peter's Hospital, Hamilton on Wednesday, May 1, 2007, Herta (Merz) Schipper, in her 77th year. Beloved wife and best friend for over 50 years to Kurt Schipper. Loving mother of Mark (Lorna) of Greensville and Melinda (Brett) of Stouffville. Beloved Oma to Rachel, Curtis, Kevin, Megan, Cameron and Connor. Dear sister to Anita, Werner and the late Artur. Aunt to many nieces and nephews in Europe. Herta was a longtime member of Dundas Baptist Church, and an Honorary Life Member of the Baptist Women's Missions Society. She was also a great friend and supporter of the Dundas Concert Band. Herta loved life, music and cooking. Thank you to the staff of the Henderson Hospital and St. Peter's Hospital for their loving care of Herta, and to her many friends for their love and support. The family will honour her life with visitation at the Dundas Baptist Church, 201 Governor's Road, Dundas, on Friday, May 4, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. A service of celebration for Herta's life will take place at the Dundas Baptist Church on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dundas Baptist Church Heritage Fund or the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Hamilton.
