It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bill at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus, on Monday January 27, 2003 in his 69th year. Husband of Tessa for 47 years. Wonderful father to Fiona. Predeceased by his daughters Karen and Amanda. Very proud Grandad of Adam, Alexander, Jessica and Matthew. Bill was a retired member of the Metro Toronto Police Force (Sgt) and very proud of his service with the Scottish Cameronians.

McKay: William Charles (Bill)
Of Salem, formerly of Belwood, born May 28, 1918; passed away peacefully September 9th, 2003 at the Wellington Terrace Nursing Home, Elora. Predeceased by his dear wife, Clemintina (nee Fair) in 1976 and his parents Alexander Charles McKay and Mary Adelaide McKay (nee Campbell) of Manitoba, brother Colin and sister, Gertrude. Survived by his brother, James Cameron McKay of Neelin, Manitoba and sister, Edna May Davies of Abbotsford, British Columbia, and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many including the McManus family to whom Bill and Clemi were felt to be family. Visitation will be held at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 37 Church St. Elora on Thursday September 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday September 12th, 2003, at 2:30 PM. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the charity of one's choice as expressions of sympathy.
WRIGHT: Blanche
passed away peacefully at the Wellington Terrace Nursing Home, Elora, on Monday April 14th, 2003 in her 89th year. Blanche was a longtime employee of the Ontario Dye Company in Waterloo. She is survived by her step-daughter Maureen Weber and her husband Don of Kincardine. Loved by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Eric Wright, step-sons Kenneth & Eric Wright and 3 sisters Nellie Frederick, Lillian Burnhart and Edna Beaver.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday April 17th, at 11:00 AM from Knox Presbyterian Church, Elora. Rev. Kees Vandermey officiating. Private Interment in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau. Chamberlain, Robert
passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus on Saturday October 26th, 2002 at the age of 81.
Bob Chamberlain was born in Durham County, England in 1921. He immigrated to Canada with his parents and ten siblings in 1925. His sister Mabel was born in Canada. En route to the family farm they spent one memorable night at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto. They farmed at Bethany near Elora for many years.
Bob joined the service in August 1942. He served overseas on the Canadian Hospital Ship "The Lady Nelson" from 1943-1946. Over 30 return trips of the Atlantic including several to the Mediterranean were made transporting the wounded back to Canada.
Bob and Florence spent fifty years in the Middlebrook area and moved to Fergus in 2000. He married Florence Gammie on July 1, 1942 in the parsonage at Bethany. He attended Bethany Public School. Bob worked at Galt Metal, Beatty Bros., in Fergus, the Royal Commissionaires in Guelph and was self employed for many years.
Bob spent many years on Pilkington Township Council, a period of this time as deputy-reeve and he sat on the Groves Memorial Hospital Board. He served a period of time as the Noble Grand at the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Elora. He was also a member of the Knox Presbyterian Church, Elora.
Beloved husband of sixty years to Florence (Gammie) of Fergus. Loving father of Anne and her husband Teunis Haalboom, Earl and his wife Joan, David and his wife Brenda, Heather and her husband Bill Smith. Dear grandfather of Dana and her husband Richard Biasutto, Blayne and his fiancee Gillian, Blair and his girlfriend Julie, and Kevin.
Survived by his brother's Henry, Cliff , Ed and sister Mabel. Predeceased by parents Joseph and Florence, sister's Jennie, Flossie, Annie, Ivy, and Daisy, and brothers Joe, Gordon and Albert. Friends will be received at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home 37 Church Street, Elora on Monday October 28th 2002 from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Elora on Wednesday October 30th 2002, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kees Vandermey officiating. Interment Elora Cemetery.
Pallbearers for Bob were: Blayne Chamberlain, Blair Chamberlain, Kevin Chamberlain, David Chamberlain, Earl Chamberlain and Bill Smith. Honourary pallbearers were: Ralph Whitelaw, Mel McLeod, Russell Airdrie, Ted Hewitson, John Elmose, Ken Pritchard and Tillie Sargent.

Suddenly at his home in Kitchener , on Friday February 28th 2003 in his 42nd year. Loving father of Aileen, Olivia and Lauren. Remembered by Lisa. Beloved son of Ken Pritchard and the late Phyllis Pritchard. Dear brother of Kendra Heseltine and her husband Terry of Elora, and Dayle Hammond and her husband Shawn of Elora. Brent will be remembered by his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Graham A. HALL: Brian
passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus on Saturday January 11th, 2003 in his 92nd year. Dear husband of Kirtsen Hall of Elora. Dad will be missed by Stephen Hall (Agnes Cseke) of Toronto and Nick Hall (Tracey McEwen) of Guelph. Grandpa of Logan and Georgia. Also missed by his step-children Rolf, John, Randi and Kari Reynolds. Predeceased by his parents, his son Tony (2001), one sister and one brother.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home, cremation has taken place. An informal gathering will be held at Brian's home, 275 Albert St. W., Fergus on Saturday February 22nd, 2003 from 2-6 PM.

Pinkney, Brian George. passed away suddenly on Thursday March 28, 2002 at his home in the Township of Wellington North. Brian Pinkney in his 49th year, will be sadly missed by his wife Carol Anne Pinkney (nee Irwin) of Elora. Brian is survived by his four children Trevor, Tim, Troy and Robbin. Loved son of George and Dorothy Pinkney of the Township of Centre Wellington and son in law of Ross and Doreen Irwin of Guelph. Dear brother of Jim and his friend Francis of Fergus and Ann Bayne and her husband Ron of Sarnia. Brian will be missed by a number of other family members and many friends. passed away peacefully at the Wellington Terrace Home for the Aged, Elora, on Friday September 6, 2002, aged 78 years. Lovingly remembered by his sisters, Laura Penny (Art) of Cambridge, Ruby Sanders of Hamilton, Vi Woods (Roy) of Elora, Dorothy Cassells of Woodstock, Verna Rahn of Cambridge, and his brothers, Harvey (Marj) of Guelph, Earl (Mary) of Vineland, John (Millie) of Elmira. Sadly missed by the entire Buckton family. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, George and Charlotte and his brothers Ross and Elmer.
