SEAL, EDWARD GILBERT. 1932 - 2003
Gil left us today, May 30, 2003 after a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Devastated and totally lost is June, his sweetheart , best friend and soulmate, but comforted by the thought that he is reunited with Shelley, Shirley, Mom, Dad and Judah.
Gil walked always in his own path, never following where others had trodden. From his young years as a paratrooper, to driving a streetcar, as Director of Education with the Municipal Electric Association, and in retirement making porcelain dolls and teddy bears for his and June's shop, his life was full and rewarding. But never more so than as beloved father, step-father, father-in-law and grandfather to Sheree, Shelley (deceased), Russell, Nick, Tim, Emily, Alex, Jeff, and Matthew. His quiet wisdom, compassionate advice, companionship and quirky sense of humour, will never be replaced. Rosebud will search for him every day. He will be sadly missed by Aunt Vera, Aunt Marg and Uncle Harv, Don, Jack, Pat, Irene, Angie, Del Barb, April and many cousins and other relatives and his friends and family in England.
