Clements: Alexander
passed away at the Parkwood Hospital, London, Ontario on Thursday September 25, 2003, aged 93 years. Dear son of the late John and Martha Clements. Alex was born in Tully, Londonderry, Ulster, Northern Ireland, on May 22, 1910. He came to Canada in 1927. Alex served in the No. 12 Squadron of the Royal Air Force. He is predeceased by his siblings Sam Clements, Margaret Forbes (James), John Clements (Annie), William Clements, Maude Rosborough (Andrew), Joseph Clements, George Clements, Mary Jane (Mae) Swanson (Roy), Francis Clements and Annie Lee (William). He is survived by his sister-in-law Jessie Clements (Joseph) and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives may call at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 37 Church St., Elora, on Saturday September 27, 2003 from 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 AM. Interment in Elora Cemetery. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Parkwood Hospital, London or the charity of one's choice as expressions of sympathy.
DEANS: Alva Elizabeth RN (nee Rowe)
With deep sadness, Alva's family announces her death, on Wednesday October 9th, 2002, at Groves Memorial community Hospital. Alva died peacefully amongst her family. Treasured mother of Rowe of Inverhaugh and Larry of Fergus. Also survived by four sisters, Helen (Mrs. Douglas Hogarth of Elora), Lucille (Mrs. Grant Sutherland of Fergus), Jean (Mrs. Gordon Campbell of Vancouver), Mary (Mrs. Bert Tuck of West Garafraxa); one brother, Lyle of Fergus and one brother-in-law, Jack Gilchrist of Guelph. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families.
Predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Deans; sister Gladys Gilchrist; father Harry Rowe; mother Myrtle Rowe; sister-in-law Willa Rowe; brother/sister-in-law Harold and Jean Deans and sister/brother-in-law, Marion and Milton Roberts; brothers-in-law, Bert Tuck, Douglas Hogarth, Grant Sutherland and Clifton Darroch and nephew, John Hogarth.
Raised in West Garafraxa, attended Living Springs and Fergus High Schools and graduated from K-W Hospital as a Registered Nurse. Nursed at Freeport Hospital (Kitchener) prior to marriage to Ken Deans with residence in Upper Nichol. Returned to the nursing profession at Groves Memorial Community Hospital until her retirement. Active member of the Eastern Star, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, bridge clubs, quilting groups and many charitable organizations.
Alva's family will receive visitations at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. S., Fergus on Thursday October 10, 2002 from 7-9 PM and on Friday October 11, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday October 12, 2002 at 11:00 AM from the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Fergus, with Rev. David Whitecross officiating. Interment at Belsyde Cemetery, Fergus. In Alva's memory, appreciative donations can be made to Hospice Wellington, the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society or Groves Memorial Community Hospital.

passed away at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, on Monday October 20, 2003 in her 82nd year. Sadly missed by her children Jim Smith and his wife Lynda of Scarborough and Joan McWilliam and her husband John of Fergus. Also missed by her grandchildren, Stephen, Bonnie, Paul, Kelly, Karyn, Stephen, Kimberley, Pamela and Daniel and her 16 great grandchildren. Survived by her brother Roy (Buck). passed away suddenly at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elliott Lake on Friday October 24, 2003 in his 45th year.
Beloved son of Peggy and Jim Black of Mount Forest. Loving father of Amy, Amber, Erin, Katie, Shane and Sean. Dear brother of Teressa, (Bob), Linda, Lorie (Kerry), Susan (Gerald) and Jim (Bonnie). Partner of Sharon Watson of Elliott Lake and faithful companion of Mandy. Predeceased by his father Perry Noble Black. Sadly missed by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. passed away peacefully at his home in Belwood on November 2, 2003, in his 70th year. Retired from Ontario Hydro. Longtime member of Scouts Canada and the Masonic Lodge. Much loved husband of Ann. Loving father of Karen and her husband Lanny Grant of Scarborough, Rob and his wife Donna Blakely of Newmarket, and Kathy and her husband Danny Banks of Innisville. Will be remembered with great affection by his grandchildren Tara and Julie Banks, Ryan and Kevin Blakely. Loving brother of Bill and his wife Kathy, the late Helen and her husband Norm Fountain, John and his wife Karen. Dear son-in-law of Blanche McCahey of Toronto. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Grand Hall, Pine Meadows, Belwood, on Saturday November 15, 2003, at 2:00 P.M. Suddenly on Monday November 24, 2003, at 44 years of age. Loving mother of Sarah Pyke; beloved daughter of Margaret and the late William Ewen. Loved by her partner, Derek Gresham; dearest sister to Brenda Ewen, Don Mackie and his wife Liane, Lynn and her husband Dan Lubitz, Elizabeth and her husband Alan Robertson. Aunt to Stephen and Larissa. Memorial fellowship will be held at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 37 Church St., Elora on Thursday November 27, from 1-3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held at the Elora United Church on Friday November 28, at 2:00 PM. Born June 12, 1945, passed away after a valiant battle against cancer on October 25th, 2003. Survived by his life partner Dianne, daughter Julie, son Don, mother Winnifred of Palmerston, sisters and their husbands Gwen and Harold Perkin of Listowel, Karen and Richard Thorneycroft of Port Stanley. Bryan will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and his friends, Ryan and Holley. Predeceased by his wife Heather and his father, Howard. Visitation at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 29th followed by a memorial service at Melville United Church in Fergus. Flowers gratefully declined. passed away suddenly at his home, R.R. #1 Moorefield, on Friday October 17, 2003, in his 68th year. Sadly missed by his companion and friend of over 30 years, Pat Bilton. Survived by his children Michelle and Rhonda and his sister Ruby Hebden of Guelph. Predeceased by his parents and his brothers Mel and John. Edgar worked for the Lear Seating Company, Kitchener for over 30 years. At Edgar's request there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
