Loved grandma of Rob & Carina, Marty & Holly, John and Jennifer; great-grandma of Amanda. Dear sister of Winnifred Cooper, Eileen Holden, the late Frederick Holland, Albert Holland and Ada Colley. Suddenly at her home in Guelph on Thursday, August 19, 2004. Evelyn (Murray) Wilson at the age of 60 years. Loving mother of Denise McVey and her husband, Dave of Innisfil and Colin Wilson of Guelph. Loved grandma of Caleb. Dear sister of Maureen Neill and her husband, Tommy of Northern Ireland. Always remembered by her many nieces and nephews in Canada and Northern Ireland. Peacefully, with her family by her side, in her 90th. year at the Guelph General Hospital, on Friday, August 20, 2004. Beloved wife of the late Willi (1986). Loving mother of Guenter Lehmann (Gerda), Karin Plank (late Josef) and Jutta Smolarz (Rick). She was the proud Oma of Ric, Jeff Lehmann; Peter, Renate, Larry Plank; Alan, Christopher (Michelle), Jennifer Smolarz and Omi of Tyler, Tannis, Kurt, Jami-Lynn, Jenni-Lee, Jasmine and Kaela. Berta is survived by brothers Heinrich and Manfred. She was predeceased by her grandson Mark and her sister Wanda. passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 31, 2004. May (Stewart) Wright at the age of 79 years. Beloved wife of Samuel Wright. Dear mother of Hilary Capstick and her husband Simon of Tallahassee, Florida. Proud grandmother of Liam and Moira Capstick. May will be sadly missed by her sister Kathleen Nichol. Predeceased by her son David, sister Margaret, and brothers Charles, David & William. May will also be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews, including Betty & Ron Jones, John Ross, Kim, Bruce, Brad, & Tara McClennan, Michael, Krista, Jacob, and Emily Ross, Alison & John Gibson, and Betty & Doyle Langford. At May’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment in Armagh, Northern Ireland. Peacefully at Henderson Hospital, Hamilton on Tuesday, August 24, 2004. Dorothea (Forbes) Burke at the age of 85 years. Wife of the late Powell Burke (1998). Beloved mother of Joanne Chaffey of Ayer's Cliff, Quebec; Sylvia Bachelder (Lyle), and Stephen Burke of Exeter. Dear grandmother of Ahren Britton (Kathrine) of Vancouver, B.C.; Ben Britton (Jennifer) of Fredricton, N.B. Loved sister of John Forbes of Lancaster and the late Auralie Stratford. Sadly missed by her brother-in-law Dr. Joseph Stratford of Montreal, Quebec ; her nieces Cindy Forbes-Lancaster, Leslie Stratford and her nephew Huntley Stratford. McFarlane, Ruth-Ellen (Bonnie) With courage, spirit and dignity, after a long struggle, Ruth-Ellen “Bonnie” McFarlane passed away peacefully at the McCall Continuing Care Facility, Etobicoke on Wednesday, January 5th, 2005. Bonnie was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. W.L. Callander. She leaves her husband and best friend Hugh A. McFarlane of Missisauga. She is survived by her three children: Laurier McFarlane (Valerie) of Midhurst, Diana McFarlane (Rob Barrett) of Coquitlam and Peter McFarlane of Salt Spring Island B.C. She is fondly remembered by her grandchildren Matthew and Andrea McFarlane, Noelle and Braden Barrett and Geoffrey McFarlane. Grandma will be fondly remembered by all her grandchildren for all the good times at the family cottage on Lake Huron. She is survived by her 3 sisters Marion Sillers (Donald) of Aurora, Jean Tossell (Bill) of Guelph, Diana Woolley (Maxwell) of Mississauga. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald Callander. She will be sadly missed by her best friend, Earline Beath of Oshawa. John Taylor
Peacefully passed away at The Elliott Home, Guelph on January 7, 2005 in his 96th year. John will join his beloved wife Lillian nee Jenkins, who predeceased him in 2002 after 70 happy years of marriage. Dear father of Robert John of Edmonton and father-in-law of Margaret of Oshawa. Loved grandfather of Susanne, Phillip, Heather and great-grandfather of five. He will be sadly missed by his brothers James (Jim) of Kitchener and George and sisters-in-law Helen of Guelph and Eileen of Cambridge. Uncle John will be missed by his nieces and nephews. John is predeceased by his sisters Ruth (Shortill), Florence (Edwards), and Olive (Black), his brother Clinton, his brothers-in-law Aubrey Edwards, Jack Black, Fred Shortill and his sisters-in-law Loretta (James) and Vernice (Taylor). passed away at the Village of Riverside Glen on Wednesday, January 12, 2005. Edna Montgomery in her 74th year. Beloved wife of Ken Montgomery. Nanny is fondly remembered by her daughter, Vicki-Lyn; her son, Ron and daughter-in-law, Terry and their three children, Geoff, Cori and Katie and great-grandchildren, Madison and Michaela; her son, Doug and daughter-in-law, Sue and their two children, Leila and Sean; her son, Hugh and daughter-in-law Laurie and their children, Bradley, Katelyn and Rebecca. Sadly missed by her brother, Carson and his wife, Dorothy; sister, Ruby; brother-in-law, Ken Craig; sister-in-law Pat Taylor and their families. Loving Grandma of 12 grandchildren and Great Grandma of 24 great grandchildren. Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her 5 sisters and 3 brothers. Gertrude will be remembered as a strong lady who fought hard to overcome her many health problems.
