Evelyn Jean (Chaffé) Chamberlain
Peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 Evelyn Jean (Chaffe) Chamberlain of London and formerly of Tillsonburg. Beloved wife of the late Clifford Chamberlain. Loving mother of Gary & his wife Beth Chamberlain of Lion’s Head, Gordon & his wife Virginia Chamberlain of Tillsonburg and Myrna & her husband Rick Newstead of London. Loved by 6 grandchildren Kyle, Jessica, Ryan, Andrea, Michael & Barbara and 9 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Norman Stewart of Woodstock and Norma Schuett of Stratford. Dear mother-in-law of Diane. Predeceased by one son Rick.
Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St.) on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, December 3, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Tim Connor officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardent. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to Breast Cancer or Alzheimer Society
A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Mrs. Chamberlain.

Charlotte Louise (Pawlak) Hackett
At London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus on Thursday December 2, 2004 Charlotte Louise (Pawlak) Hackett of London in her 71st year. Beloved wife of Kenneth G. Hackett. Dear mother of John & his wife Barbara Hackett of Milton, Jim & his wife Judy Hackett of Terrace Bay, Phillip & his wife Brenda Hackett of Ingersoll and Alan Hackett of London. Loved by 4 grandchildren Breanne & Brian of Calgary, Heather & her husband Jesse of Milton and Dianne of Toronto and 3 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Ernest Pawlak of Wallaceburg and Margaret Reaume of Chatham and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St.) on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, December 6, 2004 at 2 p.m. with Mr. Alan Toms officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to the Thames Valley Children’s Centre or the charity of your choice.

O. Margaret (Stanfield) Burr
At Chelsey Park Nursing Home on Tuesday, February 8, 2005, O. Margaret (Stanfield) Burr of London in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold D. Burr. Dear step-mother of Harold Peter Burr and Shirley Walker both of London and Harvey Burr of Arizona and the late Helen Billing and Robert Burr. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Catherine Cornish of London, dear sister of Ruth (Mrs. J.A. Grom) and Jean (Mrs. Stephen Miller) both of Pennsylvania and many nieces and nephews. Dear cousin of the late Ila (Mrs. W.S. Paterson). Funeral Service will be held at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St.) on Thursday, February 10, 2005 with Rev. John Bannerman officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford.

Augusta Saika-Wostrikow
Peacefully at McCormick Home on Wednesday, February 9, 2005, Augusta Saika-Wostrikow of London in her 100th year. Beloved wife of Nicholas Wostrikow of London. Dear mother of Igor and his wife Elizabeth Saika of London. Loved by 5 grandsons, Peter, Serge, Ivan, Igor and Nicholas and one granddaughter, Christina. Funeral service will be held at Christ the Saviour Russian Orthodox Church, 140 Fairview Ave. on Friday, February 11, 2005 at 10:30 am with Father Vladimir Morin officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street in charge of arrangements. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to the Russian Orthodox Decoration Fund.

Peter F. Brownrigg
Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, with his family by his side, on Wednesday February 9, 2005. Peter F. Brownrigg, in his 62nd year. Loving father of Joanne Cleghorn (Simon), Peter (Susan) Brownrigg and Dawna-Lynn (Colin) Johnston. Cherished “Papa” to Kaitlynn, Michelle, Ashley, Tyler and Amber. Dear son of Viola Kenny & the late Frank Brownrigg. Brother of Don, Paul, Gerald, Donna, Ronnie, Dorothy and Lorraine. Also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Peter was an employee of Wolverine Tube for over 30 years.
Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday February 12, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Cordell Parsons, of Grace United Church, officiating. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Jean Anita Butler
At London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria St. Campus on Friday, February 11, 2005, Jean Anita Butler of London in her 69th year. Beloved wife of Bill Butler. Dear mother of Kevin & his wife Kathy Butler of Manitoba, Brian Butler of Alberta, Patricia & her husband Chris Gotell of P.E.I. and Anne & her husband Dave Morris of P.E.I. Loved by 8 grandchildren Christina, Steven, Andrew, Crystal, Jennifer, Chelsea, Marcella and Sydney. Survived by 5 sisters and 3 brothers and predeceased by 1 sister and 1 brother.
Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St.) on Sunday 1-2 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Sunday, February 13, 2005 at 2 pm with Father Vince Gulikers officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to London Regional Cancer Centre.

Donald Mackenzie Niles
Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, at Parkwood Hospital, on Wednesday February 16, 2005. Donald Mackenzie Niles, was embraced by the arms of God, at the age of 80 years.
Beloved husband of Betty Niles (Gardner). Predeceased by 2 wives, Betty Niles (Barnard) (1981) and Jackie Niles (Jarvis) (1997). Loving father of Larry (Barb) Niles, Roger Niles, Debra Huisman, Douglas Niles and Donna Lynn Hunter. Survived by step-children Barry (Julie) Gardner, Cheryl (Larry) Day, Debbie (Cas) Kwarciak, Diane (Glen) DeSchutter, Cindy (Dan) Ulrich and Ted & Thomas French. Dear grandfather of several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother of Lorne (Jean) Niles, Edward (Etta) Niles and Marrian Buchner. Nephew of Mildred Niles. Predeceased by grandchildren April Leigh Huisman (1993) and Shawn Huisman (2003).
A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Friday February 18, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. (Visitation 1 hr. prior to service) with Rev. Darrell Shaule officiating. Interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society or Parkwood Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

Edgar Varley
At the McCormick Home on Tuesday February 15, 2005. Edgar Varley in his 92nd year.
Beloved husband of the late Lavina Varley (1985). Dear father of Sharon Rossiter and Shirley (Neil) Maguire. Loving grandfather of Ron Rossiter, Brent Rossiter, Mark Rossiter, Mike (Chrissy) Butler, Lorraine Butler and Geoff Varley (Keri-Ann Dunlop). Also survived by great-grandchildren Joshua, Samantha, Ryan & Brianna Butler. Predeceased by several brothers & sisters.
Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Friday February 18, 2005, from 9:30-10:30 am. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ken Thomson officiating. Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Raymond Ireland
At Westminster Campus of L.H.S.C on Wednesday, February 16, 2005, Raymond Ireland, in his 80th year. Loving husband and best friend of Faye and missed by his children and their families Tim, Gary, Barb, Nancy, Sharon, Don, Ruth-Anne and Ron. Brother of Betty (Glen) Morgan and Orval of London. Predeceased by his parents Alexander “Pat” and Leda, brother Ron, sister Doreen Rodgers and daughter-in-law JoAnne Ireland. Ray was a longtime Model Airplane enthusiast.
At Ray’s request there will be no funeral home service. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, (Box 5370, 800 Commissioners Rd. London, N6A 4G5) would be appreciated by the family.

John Fickling
Suddenly at McCormick Home on Wednesday, February 16, 2005, John Fickling was “Promoted to Glory” in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Shirley (Youde) Fickling. Loving father of Sharron Millard (Mike) of Mississauga and Sheila Fickling of Goderich. Predeceased by a son Danny Fickling. Brother of Edna Winslade of Chatham. Loving grandfather of Lisa (Ron) Scott, and Andrea (Mike); great “pappa” of Joshua, Emma and Noah. Dear brother-in-law of Betty Fairful and Edna and Jack Youde and several nieces and nephews. John was the owner of Fickling Cartage and Storage London and WWII Veteran (Perth Regiment), long time member of the Salvation Army London Citadel, and a band member, member of the “Vimy” Legion.
Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St.) on Saturday, February 19th, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the London Citadel Salvation Army, 555 Springbank Drive on Sunday, February 20th, 2005 at 3 p.m. with Major Gary Venables officiating. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Monday, February 21 at 10 a.m. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to the Salvation Army London Citadel Band or McCormick Home.

Mario Antonio Paz
Peacefully, after a short illness & courageous battle, Mario Antonio Paz Fernandez, of London, passed away in his 67th year, on Monday March 20, 2006, surrounded by his family, at Victoria Hospital, L.H.S.C.
Husband of Gladys Paz. Loving father of Carlos (Dumay Keo) Paz, Mario Paz (Kate Corcoran) and Veronica Alvarez. Dear brother of Miguel, Floridalma & Guillermo and uncle of Juan-Luis. Mario will be sadly missed by many family & friends in Guatemala & Canada.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Parish, 46 Cathcart St., on Saturday March 25, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. with Father Francis Murphy officiant. Cremation & Interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Donations to the Cancer Centre, c/o London Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
