Stephen Rudnicki
March 26, 1912 - May 13, 2004
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen (Szczepan) at the Woodstock Private Hospital, on Thursday May 13th, 2004.
Stephen was born March 26th, 1912, in his native country Poland. He embraced Canada as his chosen home and was truly proud to be a Canadian while still treasuring his roots in Poland. He spent the greater part of his life in London where he was one of the early members of the Polish National Association on Hill St. Stephen loved music. He enjoyed listening, and singing was his passion. He was an enthusiastic gardener.
Stephen is predeceased by his beloved wife Mary (1964) and daughter Julie (1934). Dear father of Bernice and her husband Enrico and loving grandpa of Lisa.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral according to Stephen’s wishes. Burial will be Thursday May 20th, 2004, at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd., 451-9350, entrusted with arrangements.
Norma Wilkes
Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Campus on Monday May 17, 2004, Norma Wilkes of London in her 77th year. Loving wife of the late Ernie Wilkes (1983).
Dear mother of Dave and his wife Marie, Donna and her husband Bud Lizmore, Jim and his wife Janet and Terry. Remembered by her 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson and predeceased by 1 grandson. Norma was a 22 year employee of the London Free Press, retiring in 1992.
Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Road (one block east of Egerton) on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Brian McKay officiating. At Norma’s request, there will be a private Interment in Woodland Cemetery.
Norma’s wish was for donations to be made to the London Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
Janice (Murray) Lewis At London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital on Monday May 17, 2004.
Janice (Murray) Lewis of London in her 43rd year. Beloved daughter of David and his wife Shirley Murray and Olive Hemsworth and her husband Bob Breau all of London. Dear wife of Peter Lewis. Loving mother of Jennifer and Chad of London. Loved by 2 grandchildren Alythea and Ty. Dear sister of Larry, Steven, David and George all of London. Sadly missed by her co-workers at St. Joseph’s Health Care.

David Clark
Peacefully, surrounded by his family at London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus, on Wednesday, May 19, 2004, David Clark of London in his 88th year. Born February 11, 1917 in Glasgow, Scotland. David served in Holland with Canadian Highland Light Infantry during WWII. David worked with the Public Utilities Commission with the City of London for over 40 years until his retirement. Beloved husband of the late Adeline Clark (1991) (nee Knapman). Son of the late Elizabeth and David Clark. Predeceased by brothers John, Daniel and James Clark. Dear father of Terry Clark, Judy and her husband Dan Lane of London. Beloved grandfather of Krista and Craig Lane. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Pat (Milton) Parkes
Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre, Westminster Campus on Friday, May 21, 2004, Pat (Milton) Parkes of London in her 62nd year was reunited in spirit with her husband and soul mate Bud (1990). Beloved mother and friend of Dawn and her husband Dwayne Lyons of London. “Grandma Pat” will be sadly missed by Nathan. Loving sister of Donna. Predeceased by her mother Dorothy (1976) and brothers Ronald (1963) and Terry (1999). Survived by various nieces and nephews, and numerous wonderful friends. Pat was a recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal and International Year of the Volunteer Award. Pat’s compassionate works will be missed by many organizations and individuals.

Mervyn Max Stein At his residence on Wednesday, May 19, 2004, Mervyn Max Stein of London. Survived by many friends. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2004 at 1 p.m. at Adas Israel Cemetery, Burlington with Rabbi Dan Green officiating.

Suddenly, at home, on Tuesday May 25, 2004. J. Joanne “Jo” Pierson in her 58th year.
Loving mother of Darryl Mickle, Rob Owen & his wife Lynda, Kim Gratton and Dawn Murphy. Dear “Nana” of Shaun, Desiree, Leah and Timothy. Predeceased by daughter Cindy “Sam” Davies and grandson Dustin Owen.
Jo will be sadly missed by the Pierson and Casey Families, and all of her friends.
Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd., (1 block east of Egerton) on Friday May 28, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev’d Brian McKay, of St. Andrew Memorial Anglican Church, officiating. Cremation and Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

At London Health Sciences, Westminister Campus on Thursday May 27, 2004, Anatoly (Steve) Szczokin of London in his 67th year passed away peacefully after a courageous battle. Dear companion of Ann Stieglitz of London, loving father of Stephen & his wife Baillie Szczokin of Oakville, Barbara & her husband Ed Briand of Newmarket and Paul & his wife Yumi Szczokin of Barrie. Will be sadly missed by his 6 grandchildren Jonathan, Benjamin, Madeline, Lauren, Olivia & Natsuki. Survived by his wife Beatrice Szczokin of London.
