CARVETH, W. Hope (nee Linton) A gracious and dignified lady. [Graduate of the University of Toronto School of Nursing; Veteran of WWII, Lt N/S RCAMC] - at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on Saturday, September 29, 2007 in her 93rd year. Loving wife of 54 years of the late Gordon Carveth. Dear mother of Arthur and Mona of Ottawa, and Liz and Peter Thornback of the United Arab Emirates. Loving grandmother of Matt(Jody), Jamie, Ian(Jessica) and Colin. Hope will be remembered by her niece Pat Abram(John) and her sister-in-law Libby Stevens. She will be missed by her many friends amongst the residents and staff at the Village of Taunton Mills, Whitby. Margaret Prentice
PRENTICE, Margaret (nee Rennie) – at Foster brooke Long Term Care Facility with her family at her side, on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, after a courageous battle following injuries sustained in a car accident in 2006. Margaret, loving wife for 48 years of Ed of Wilmot Creek. Caring and devoted mother to Lori Prentice and Terry Aubrey, both of Oshawa. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Owen Sinclair, Emily Aubrey, Katelyn Sinclair, and Kyle Aubrey. Sister of Grant, Helen, Pat, Will, David, and the late Sharron. Donations to the Parkinson Foundation in Margaret’s memory would be appreciated by her family. The family would also like to extend a kind thank you to the 3rd floor nursing staff at Lakeridge Health Whitby and to everyone at Foster brooke Long Term Care Facility for their excellent care and compassion.

Geraldine, devoted wife for 56 years of Edward “Ted,” of Orono, and the late Victor. Loving mother of Edward Thomas Pritchard and his wife Kathleen of Newmarket, Alma Taylor of Calgary, and Glen Owen Pritchard and his wife Margaret of Orono. Sadly missed by grandchildren Laura, Pam, Dan, Shawn, Tracey, David, Justin, Sarah, Kevin, and many great-grandchildren. Sister of Ron Pogue and his wife Wendy, and the late Midge, Elaine, Evelyn, Howard and Harold. Ann, much loved wife for 38 years of Bill Wragg of Newcastle. Loving mother of Daniel and his wife Renée of San Antonio, Texas, and Nancy Christina of Newcastle. Nanny to Hannah Faith. Gail "Griz" Doyle
DOYLE, E. Gail “Griz” – peacefully in her 68th year on Friday, September 7, 2007, after a 22-month battle with cancer, with her dear and devoted daughter Faith by her side. Predeceased by her loving husband Joe Doyle. Sadly missed by her children, Faith and her son Harley, Sean, Joe, and Kellie and her husband Hayden. Remembered by her 7 other grandchildren. Gail is survived by her cousins Dennis Croft and Debbie Kooman and their families. A special thank-you to Pat and Linda who cared for Gail during Faith’s 12-week illness, Dr. Kishore Thain of the Kingston Regional Cancer Centre for the 22 months of life he gave to our mother, and to all of those who came to visit and help at home and in the hospital.
