Edna May Hambly
HAMBLY, Edna May (July 3, 1920 – June 26, 2007) - Peacefully on June 26, 2007, just one week short of her 87th birthday, Aunty Edna passed away at Fairview Lodge in Whitby. She is now in a happier place with her Mom and Dad and brother and sisters: Audrey Swain, William “Bud” Hambly and Murielle Norris. Memorial Donations to a charity of your choice may be made through the Newcastle Funeral Home at 1-877-987-3964.
Funeral Details: Cremation has already taken place.

Allen Keetch
KEETCH, Allen (retired 32-year employee of G.M.; associate member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Newcastle and also Gospel Baptist Church in Florida) – peacefully at Extendicare Oshawa on Sunday, June 24, 2007, in his 82nd year. Allen, loving husband and best friend of Elsie (nee Dyer) of Wilmot Creek and formerly of Brooklin and Whitby. Dear father of Richard Keetch and his wife Pat of Courtice, Sharon Keetch of Oshawa, Kenneth Keetch and his wife Sue of Oshawa, Carolyn Keetch of Whitby, Catherine Cripps and Timothy Evelyn of Bowmanville. Sadly missed by many grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Son of the late Golby and Sophia Keetch. Brother of Jean and her husband John Gibson of Huntsville. Allen will be missed by his extended family, friends, neighbors and his four-legged companion Katie Lee.
Funeral Details: Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. (just north of 401 at the lights) on Wednesday, June 27, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, June 28, at 11:00 a.m. Interment Groveside Cemetery, Whitby. Donations in Allen’s memory to the Newcastle Fellowship Baptist Church Building Fund or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by his family.

McCRAE, Deborah (nee Debbie Williams) (Employee of the Ontario Government for 31 years, former civilian employee of the O.P.P, Transportation Branch) – peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, in her 49th year after a courageous battle with cancer. Debbie, dear wife of Scott McCrae of Newtonville. Loving mother of Michael and Matthew. Daughter of Alan and Jean Williams of Trenton. Daughter-in-law of Andrew and Margaret McCrae of Peterborough. “Berbs” to Al and Linda of Scarborough, Peggie and Matthew of Markham, Karen and Dave of Scarborough, Dorothy and Peter of Newcastle, and the late Big James. Sister-in-law of Heather McCrae of Peterborough and the late Dale. She will be sadly missed by her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and her extended family and friends. Memorial donations to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.

Loving husband and best friend of Donna (nee Hele) for 42 years. Beloved father of Andrew and his wife Cindy, Jeffrey, Jeremy, all of Peterborough, and Tracy Hunter of Newcastle. Loving Grandpa to 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and precedeased by one grandchild. Brother of Donald Moore (Melody) of Peterborough, Shirley (Jack Perrault) of Norwood, and Karen (Paul Pennella) of Toronto. Brother-in-law of Beverley Bye of Calgary and Ed and Gloria Hele of Peterborough. Devoted husband and best friend of Violet (Norrish), and predeceased by his first wife Nancy Sweet. Loving father of Diane and her husband Jack Mayberry of Calgary, David Lambert and his wife Penny of Omemee, Eleanor and her husband Darrell Cook of Newcastle, and step-father of Randy Norrish and his wife Linda of Bowmanville, Wayne Norrish and his wife Terri of B.C., Steven Norrish and his wife Patti of Bowmanville, and David Norrish and his wife Brenda of Bowmanville. Sadly missed by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Ronald Lambert and his wife Helen, and the late Joan Lambert. Also missed by his four-legged companions, Lacey and Smoke. Donald, loving husband of Velma (nee Alldread). Dear father of Karen and her husband Don Wright, Patti and her late husband Don Sharpe, and Mary and her husband Jamie Wright. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Sherry Wright, Lisa and her husband Wayne Davenport, Paul Sharpe and his wife Keri, Michael Sharpe, Jaime and Nathan Wright and great-grandchildren Travis, Tristan and Aiden. Predeceased by his parents James and Viola, brothers Victor, Ronald, Murray and sister Joyce Marie. Survived by sisters-in-law Reta, Christine (Harvey Jones) and Betty (Don McHolm). Predeceased by her mother Evelyn Collins and her father Alexander White, both of Nova Scotia, and her brother Jimmy of Vancouver, British Columbia. Cherished sister of Linda (David) of Amherst, N. S, Karen of Alberta, Marjorie, Terry (Michelle), Harry (Georgina), Stephen, Bruce, Ronnie and Jason, all of Amherst, Nova Scotia. Dearly missed aunt of several nieces and nephews. Very special friend of Marion, Dale, Cindy, Doug, Dean, Barrett, Caitlyn, Donna and Michael, all of Ontario. . He also leaves behind his grandparents, Sharon Osborne of Newcastle (the late Neil), and Christine Hynes and Ron Johnson of Toronto.
