(Member of Murray St. Baptist Church for over 20 years, 40-year board member with the Peterborough Fair Board, member of the Peterborough Horticultural Society for 25 years, and an avid rose gardener) – after a lengthy battle with cancer and arthritis at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, with her family at her side, on Saturday, January 27, 2007, in her 81st year. Devoted wife of Glen Ketchabaw. Caring mother of Bonnie and her husband Jerry Scott, and Brenda and her husband Dan Gerigs, all of Peterborough. Dear grandmother of Geoff, Lorrie and Melissa and great-grandmother of Bailey. Margaret will be sadly missed by her sister Dorothy Lebow, her nephews Bill and Jim, and all of her extended family and friends. SIMPSON, Roy – at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, in his 86th year. Loving husband for 54 years of Ann of Newtonville. Dear father of Dennis (Zeynep), Mark (Barbara), Stuart (Joanne), and Paul (Tammy). Sadly missed by grandchildren Monika, Elva-Ann, Sonya, Nancy, Katherine, Desiree, Harley, Trista, MacRay, Cameron, and great-granddaughter Myah. Dear brother of Gordon and Ida. JANES, Ute – after a long, courageous battle with cancer at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Thursday, January 18, 2007, in her 53rd year. Loving and caring mother to Kimberly and Daniel. Dear daughter of Ingeburg and Friedrich. Sister of Robert and his wife Sheila, and sadly missed by nephew Joey and niece Holly. Ute will be remembered by her many friends and neighbours. Son of the late George and Blanche Lloyd of Flinton, Ontario. Brother of Leslie (Erith) of Oshawa, Alice (the late John) of Deseronto, Anne (the late Art) of Oshawa, and the late William, Frederick, Almonte, Ivan, and brother-in-law of Mary of Northbrook. Sadly missed by 26 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Dean and Louise Dunn of Vancouver and the late Lawrence, Gus, Theresa, Rose, and Millie. Patient and loving mother of Patrick (Irene) of Havelock, Paul (Linda) of Trenton, Tom (Wanda) of Millbrook, Matthew (Marilyn) of Bowmanville, Beverly (Eric) of Gores Landing, Marlene (Philip Hungerford) of Port Hope, and Kevin (Kim) of Newtonville. Grandma of 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Sister of Keitha, Cleo, Tom, and the late Hubert, Raymond, Dorothy, and Violet. HUTCHISON, Gertrude May “Trudy” – peacefully in her 88th year after a lengthy illness, at Extendicare Peterborough on Wednesday, December 13, 2006. Devoted wife for 65 years of the late Roy Louis Hutchison. Survived by her children Robert Hutchison of Peterborough and Lyn and her husband Bill Small of Newcastle, and predeceased by her son Lloyd Hutchison. Grandmother of David, Grant, and Jennette Hutchison, Robert, Dale, and Lisa Hutchison, Brayden and Brook Akers, and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother Ebert Wadsworth. Sister-in-law of Gaius Hutchison, Dorothy Cobb, Fern Drake, and Steve Hutchison. A special thank-you to all the staff of Extendicare Peterborough for their compassionate care over the past 10 years.
