DAGENAIS, Robert "Bob" "Dage" On Saturday, November 23, 2002 at age 51. Loving husband of Bonnie (nee Barr). Bob's guidance, support, advice and love will be missed by his brother Andre (Jean). Devoted and loving uncle of Matthew, Andrew and Christina. Special life long friend of Ray Thibert (Anne-Marie). Predeceased by his parents Rodrigue "Bill" and Lorraine (nee Leblanc). Bob will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his aunts, uncles and cousins from New Brunswick and Alberta, as well as Bonnie's family. Bob was a dedicated Ottawa teacher and principal for 30 years. Dage's students were important in his life and he was a role model to his students. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Thursday and Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Saint Patrick's Basilica, 220 Kent Street between Nepean and Gloucester Streets, on Saturday, November 30, 2002, at 9:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall. Memorial donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Canadian Cancer Society or the Bob and Bonnie Dagenais Memorial Fund, c/o OCDSB Learning Foundation, 133 Greenbank Road, Ottawa K2H 6L3

Michael "Mike" Deneschuck - 12/05/2002
DENESCHUCK, Michael "Mike" Veteran W.W II. Peacefully in hospital on Wednesday. December 4, 2002, age 84 years. Beloved husband of the late Naomi Payne and the late Ethel Scott. Loving father of Dixie Atkinson (the late Bill) and Diane Price (Howard Dayton). Dearest and devoted grandfather of Angie (Ervan), Rick (Tina), Shelley and Jamie. Dear great grandfather of Ryan, Connor, Lauryn, Bryce and Evan. Survived by brothers Fred, Father Joseph and sister-in-law Margaret Scott. Special thanks to the staff at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital and Carolyn Nicol. Alice Dole - 12/05/2002
passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital on Tuesday, December 3, 2002 in her 91st year. Predeceased by brothers Ralph, Harry and Gordon and also by her beloved niece Karan. Greatly missed and loved by sisters-in-law Hope and Connie; nephews Larry (Debbie), Peter (Pauline) (Kimberley), Lloyd (Diane) and Roger (Ursula); great nephews Mark, Colin, Danny and great niece Erika. Many, many loyal friends across Canada as well as cousins Kathleen, Eunice and Ivy will miss her visits, her greeting cards and phone calls. She cared greatly for them all. Friends may attend a Ceremony in her memory on Monday, December 9, 2002 at 2 p.m. in the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa followed by a reception in the McGarry Family Reception Centre. Those wishing may make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Barbara Wills Fraser (nee Cox) - 12/08/2002
In her 75th year, on Saturday, December 7, 2002, at home in Ottawa. Beloved wif4e of the late Robert, she is mourned by her sons, Cam and Dave, daughters-in-law, Kathy and Rosemary, dear grandchildren, Mary, Laura, Sally, Luke and Drew and her sister, Mrs. Suzanne Cumyn. She will be sadly missed by her nephews, nieces and her many friends. Thanks to her friends for their ongoing support and to the nurses and doctors who cared for her. The family will receive friends at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, on Tuesday, December 10, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1 pm. Kathleen Garrett (Nee Cobbett) - 12/03/2002
Peacefully in Ottawa on December 1, 2002. Beloved wife of Eric Garrett. Predeceased by her two brothers Stuart and Frank, both of Montreal. Survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Margery Garrett and by numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral Service will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street at O’Connor, Ottawa, on Thursday, December 5, 2002 at 12 noon. Grateful thanks to all the staff at the Rideau Gardens Retirement Residence. In lieu of flowers donations to the Victorian Order of Nurses, Ottawa/Carleton Branch (P.O. Ret'd Professor - Carleton University Suddenly at home, on Friday, November 29, 2002 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Riekie (nee Smaal). Loving father of Hans (Maaike), Laurina (Peter) and Roel. Dear Grandfather of Klaartje (Evert), Saskia and Patrick and great-grandfather of Kalen, Mees and Maud. Born in 1923 in the Netherlands, Willem studied at Dordrecht Polytechnic and began teaching at Eindhoven Academy of Industrial Design in 1953 - 1973. He was the first Director of the School of Industrial Design, Carleton University, in 1972 and its Centre for Industrial Design Research in 1985. Retired in 1992, and appointed Professor Emeritus and granted an honourary Doctorate of Engineering in 1997. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Thursday, December 5, 2002, after 3 p.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel a 4 p.m. Reception to follow at the McGarry Family Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Jean Ann Grant Hamilton - 12/04/2002
Peacefully at Pinemeadow Nursing Home, Northbrook, Ontario on Friday, November 29, 2002, aged 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Ernie Hamilton. Dear sister of Stan Paterson, Elsie Waldorf and the late Margaret, Mary, Jock, Tom, Jim and Alec Paterson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dear husband of Sally (nee Pitt). Loving father of Paul (Joan) and Kathleen (Major Jerry Walsh), all of Ottawa. Loving grandad of David, Peter and Robin Hayward and Laura and Michael Walsh. Also survived by his loving and loved sister Frances Cloke of Ancaster, Ontario and many cousins, nephews and nieces. Friends are invited to join the family for the Memorial Service at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 1619 Main Street, Stittsville on Thursday, December 5th at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. Margaret Elizabeth Hermon (nee Patton) - 12/04/2002
Peacefully in Ottawa, Tuesday, December 3, 2002, with her family by her side. Beloved wife of John Stuart Hermon. Daughter of the late Charles O. Patton and Lila B. Patton. Dear sister of the late Dr. J.O. Patton. Will be sadly missed by her son Richard Hermon(Susan Sweeney), her daughter Janet Tipper Kreil (Peter Kreil) and grandchildren James Tipper, Sara Kreil, Julia, Brian and Katie Hermon. Special thanks to Rose McAulay, as well as the second floor staff of Laurier Manor. A family service to be held at a later date. Rae Francis Hill - 12/05/2002
Following a courageous battle with cancer Rae Hill, in his 59th year, died peacefully at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre on Tuesday, December 3, 2002. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Gibson). Loving and extremely proud Dad of Tina (and Bruce) Hamilton. Son of the late Rhea (Moreau) and William G. Hill. Brother of Evelyn (and George) Westwood of Kingston, June Hill of Ottawa and Frank (and Sandra) Hamilton of Kamloops, B.C. Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Rae was predeceased by two brothers Bernard and Stewart and a sister Irene. Rae had served with the PPCLI 2nd Battalion, with Canada Post and 33 years with OC Transpo. As Rae wished there will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, 400 St. Laurent Blvd. on Saturday, December 7, 2002 at 1pm followed by a reception at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway. No flowers please. In memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre, the VON or the Elisabeth Bruyere Centre.

Beloved husband of Danielle and father of Matthew and Randy of Richmond, Ontario. Cherished son of Grace LaHaise (the late Moris LaHaise). Brother of Debbie (Ken), Rick, Geoff(Sharon) and Donna. Son-in-law of Daniel G. Robertson (the late Myrtle Robertson) of Hull, Quebec. Beloved mother of Rodney (Nadine), Donald (Bev) and Robert (Sharron). Loving grandmother of Tom Roy (Amy), Leah Gillis (Mike), Jim Lethbridge (Leah), Kelly Bennett (Justin), Natascha Lethbridge (Ben)and Anthony Williams. Great-grandmother of April, Sarah, Travis, Tara, Kurtis, Suzi, Joshua and Kayla. Edna will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
