Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway, Ottawa on Friday, August 1st from 2 to 4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service to be held at Divine Infant Roman Catholic Church, 6658 Bilberry Drive (at Jeanne d'Arc), Orleans on Saturday, August 2, 2003 at 10a.m. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Peacefully on Saturday July 26, 2003 aged 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Cammie Howard, mother of the late Sheila Howard. Sister of the late Dora, Rae and Peter. Fondly remembered by her nephew David Bloomstone and her good friend Barbara Perrin. At Freda’s request, funeral arrangements are private. Donations in Freda’s name may be made to the Old Forge and/or the Kiwanis Music Festival.

Illman, Dr. William Irwin Peacefully at the Glebe Centre, Ottawa on Friday, July 25, 2003 at age 82 years. Loving husband to Wanda, father to Beth, Nancy and Meg and sons-in-law Bob and David. Grandfather to Cynthia, Rachel, Rebekah, Miriam and Sean and great-grandfather to Lucie, Lawrence, Edwina, Madelaine and Amy. Bill was a Professor of Botany at Carleton University and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.. Friends may attend a Memorial Service at Rideau Park United Church, 2203 Alta Vista Drive at Cunningham on Tuesday, July 29th at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the church. Those wishing, may make memorial donations to the charity of their choice.
Margaret "Peggy" (nee Hibberd) Johnson - 07/30/2003
Peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at age 91. Beloved wife of the late Edward. Loving mother of John, Deborah (Miles Thompson), Stephen (Mary) and Peter Brown. Grandmother of Emily, Andrew, Owen, Ben, Nicholas and Drew. Survived by her brothers George, Ernest and Ted; sisters Isabel McWilliams and Audrey Boyd, as well as many nieces and nephews. Peggy was born and raised in Ottawa and was a long-time member of St. Mark's Anglican Church, 1606 Fisher Avenue, Ottawa, on Friday, August 1, 2003 at 10am. Reception in the Church Hall to follow Interment at Capital Memorial Gardens. Donations to St. Mark's Anglican Church would be appreciated.

Predeceased by his parents Charles Harold Kelson and gertrude Amelia Murphy and sister"Kelson". He will be sadly missed by his cousins Frances Ball of Toronto, Esie Jenning of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ann Lailey of Hawaii, Beatrix Miller and Elisabeth Winstanley of England and many close friends. Harry was employed by the Federal Goverment in Mines & Technical Survey, now called Enegy, Mines & Resources. Funeral arrangements by the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry. Private cremation. Memorial donations ti the Lung Association would be appreciated.

passed away in Ottawa on July 28, 2003 at the age of 43 years. Predeceased by her husband Yves, and father René. She leaves behind her mother Ange-Aimée (nee Chartrand) of Ottawa, her two sons Simon of Montreal and Eric of Ottawa, brothers Jean-Pierre Paquette (Barbara Blanchette) of L'Orignal, Philippe Paquette (Claire Gauthier) of Ottawa, sisters Louise Howes (Donald) of L'Orignal, Marie-Paule Lamarche (Pierre) of Hawkesbury, Micheline Bédard (Michel) of Clarence, and several uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. Predeceased Chantal were her brother Jacques and sister Michèle. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. Lucille Kathleen (nee Butler) Muise - 07/28/2003
Peacefully on July 24th, 2003, in Ottawa. Born in Comox, British Columbia, she was the daughter of George and Raynee (Govier). She will be remembered for her past work with disabled children and other volunteer activities. Her family is especially proud of her perseverance with respect to overcoming various obstacles in life. She is survived by her son, Randy Dahl (Ilana); her sister Ann Coutts (John); her stepsister Debra Ferdon; her uncle and aunt, George and Doris Govier; her uncle and aunt, Oren and Grace Govier and best friend Pierre Leblanc. A special thank you to the staff of the Civic Campus Resus Unit, ICU and the CCU of the Heart Institute for their care and compassion; also her close friends, Michelle April, Angela Situ and all her friends from church. It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Myrtle O'Shaughnessy on Thursday, July 31, 2003 at her home in Ottawa. Myrtle was the most loved wife and best friend of Albert for 57 years. Cherished mother of the late Maureen O'Shaughnessy. Dearly loved grandmother of Christine (Ed Chaplin) and very proud great-grandma to Aidan Chaplin. Daughter of the late Harry and Martha Shellhorne of Madawaska, Ont. Predeceased by her siblings Clifford Shellhorne, Clayton Shellhorne and Sadie Fawcett. Myrtle also filled the roles of special aunt and dear friend. Many will miss her loving spirit, kindness and generousity. RAYMOND, Jean-Guy passed away peacefully at the Hospice at May Court on Monday, July 21st, 2003 at the age of 54. Jean-Guy was born on October 7th, 1948 in Moonbeam, Ontario. Loving husband of Helene. Adoring father of Stephan and Joelle. Devoted son of Juliette and the late Sylvio Raymond. Dear brother of Jeanine Genier (Laurent), Pierre (Lise), Lise Fournier (Richard), Daniel (Bev). Special godfather of Melanie, Pascal and Alexandre. Jean-Guy also leaves behind his parents-in-law, his stepfather, brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews with their children and countless friends. Friends may attend a Memorial Service on Thursday, July 24th, 2003, at 11 a.m. at St-Sebastien Roman Catholic Church, 1000 Frances Street, Ottawa, Ontario. Reception to follow. Evelyn will be sadly missed by family and friends. We were blessed to have her in our lives. Alan's Vending Service After a short illness, Alan passed away with his devoted wife Kathy at his side. He will be mourned by his loving wife and devoted parents Casey & Bess Swedlove, dear twin sister Carol-Sue Shapiro (Jack), niece and nephew Tracy (Steven Samel), and Michael Shapiro (Nikki) and great-niece Neilah. His laughter and jokes will be missed by all who had the good fortune to have known him. Funeral Service was held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1771 Cuba Avenue on July 25, 2003. Shiva at 29 Crescent Heights with visitation in the afternoons only. We greatly appreciate the excellent care given at the Queensway Carleton Hospital by all the doctors and nursing staff.
