In New Edinburgh Square on Tuesday, November 18, 2003, three weeks short of his 93rd birthday after a short battle with cancer. Predeceased by his beloved wife Eileen (nee O'Donoghue). Dear father of Patrick (Patricia Gossen), Kathryn (Paul Vincent), Fergus (Nadine Delbeke) and Henry (Carrie Bolton). Proud grandfather of Joseph, Amy (Oliver Lee), Dylan, Veronica Vincent (Malcolm Symonds), Eileen Vincent, Melanie (Lloyd Berry), Olivia (Paul Burns), Juliette, Nicholas, Oliver and great grandfather of Marissa Lee. Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Monday, November 24, 2003 from 1 p.m. until Service in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment Beechwood Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions to the Salvation Army 301-58 Sparks Street, Ottawa K1P 5A9 would be appreciated by the family.

John (Jack) McQueen - 11/19/2003
Peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Phyllis Eileen McQueen (nee Hayman) for 55 years. Predeceased by by his brothers Harold (Enderby, B.C) and Jim (UK). Survived by hs sister Mary Wilkins (Calgary) and many nieces and nephews. His generosity and sense of humour will be lovingly remembered by family, friends and neighbours. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Thursday, November 20, 2003 from 11:30am until service time at 1 pm. Major (Retired) Peacefully, on Monday, November 17, 2003 at Garden Terrace, Kanata, in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Julia. Loving father of Andrew (Karen) of Edmonton and Rev. Jonathan (Janice) of Mississauga and proud grandfather of Wesley, Spencer, Calvin and Robert. Dear brother of Elsie Hawkesworth (Earle), Ellen Hosford (Harold), Sheila Pipes (Harris), and the late Barbara Mills. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road, Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held at Bromley Road Baptist Church, 1900 Lauder Drive, Ottawa K2A 1B1, on Friday, November 21, 2003 at 11am. Interment at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces, located at Beechwood Cemetery. We wish to thank the staff of Garden Terrace for their special care during his illness. Eleanor Mary (nee McConnochie) Montgomery - 11/22/2003
Our dear mother passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 14th, 2003 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Montgomery. Daughter of the late Dr. Jack and Gertrude McConnichie of Glasgow, Scotland. Loving and cherished mother of Mary ( Gary Dunning ) and Jack ( Daniele). Devoted and loving Granny to Josee, Jeffrey, Lee, Lani, Laurie and great grandmother of Taylor. Dear sister of Veronica McConnochie, Cyril, (Cecilia), Tom ( Mae ) and Mary ( Jack ). Predeceased by her brothers, Jim, John and Louie. At mom’s request, a private family service was held at Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, on November 21st, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. followed by Interment at Beechwood Cemetary. In memory of mom, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated. You will be dearly missed. 1 2 3 forever!

Marjorie Louise Morrison - 11/26/2003
Peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2003, age 93years. Beloved daughter of the late David and Maude Morrison. Dear sister of Constance Phillips of Scarborough and the late Lea and the late Joyce Morrison. Also survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy Morrison. Marjorie will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Sandra Ng - 12/03/2003
After a courageous battle with cancer for almost 2 years, peacefully on November 26, 2003 at the age of 49. Survived by her mother Chim Leung. Predeceased by her father Choo Leung. Beloved wife of Ricky. Loving mother of Suzie Geldrez (Alvaro), Derek (Laura) and Kimberly. Cherished grandmother of Ryan. Dear sister of Gina Tam, Eva Leung and Mr. Yu-Ru Leung (Mei-Nong). She will be sadly missed by close friend Lily Au-Yeung. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry at 315 McLeod Street on Sunday, December 7 and Monday, December 8 from 2 to 9 p.m. Service will be held at the chapel on Tuesday, December 9 at 1 p.m. Interment at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Surgery Fund at the Ottawa Hospital Foundation (737 Parkdale Avenue, 1st floor, Ottawa, ON K1Y 1J8 613-761-4295) will be appreciated by the Ng Family.

Patricia Ada Ogilvie (nee Allen) - 12/01/2003
Died peacefully in the company of family at Island Lodge on Friday, November 28, 2003, at the age of 96. Beloved mother of Dr. Heather Ogilvie of Pollok, Texas and Bruce Ogilvie of Ottawa. Predeceased by her husband Lt. Col. Alexander A. Ogilvie and her brother of Montreal. Mrs. "Pat" Ogilvie was born in Charlton, England on August 25, 1907. She came to Canada with her husband in 1928. A member of St. John The Apostle Church, she resided in Ottawa for the past 47 years. Noted for her rendition of "Danny Boy", Pat was blessed with a clear soprano voice. During her early years she enjoyed singing in her choir in the Lake Simcoe area. Friends may visit at the Memorial Funeral Home of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 584 Somerset Street West on Wednesday, December 3, 2003 from 10:30 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Cremation with private Interment of the urn at Pinecrest Cemetery. Sincere appreciation and thanks are extended to the staff and volunteers for the care and consideration our mother received during her stay at Island Lodge. In lieu of flowers donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute or to any environmental/animal welfare charity would be appreciated by the family.

ACT Member over 51 years Peacefully in Ottawa on Thursday, November 21, 2003 aged 90 years. Beloved friend of many, brother of the late Rose and the late Harold (Marsha). Evelyn (nee Hollis) Pappas - 12/03/2003
Peacefully in hospital on Monday, December 1, 2003 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Andrew Pappas. Dear mother of Sandra Orlik, Douglas, Debbie Gibson and Gwen (J.C.). Loving grandmother of Natasha, Nadine, Crystal, Noella, Caleigh, Jamie, Rachel, Micheline, Marc, Alexis, Nathan and Nicholas and great-grandmother of Heather, Zachary and Cameron. Also survived by cousins Eleanore Barber and Joan Vezina of Ottawa and Arlene Burgam of Gross Pointe, Michigan. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Thursday, December 4, 2003 after 12 noon until Service time in the Chapel at 1 p.m. For those wishing donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated.

Marrion (nee Rae) Peel - 11/19/2003
passed away peacefully at the Glebe Centre on November 17th, 2003 in her 96th year. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her son Harold (Dorothy), granddaughter Michelle (Alan) and great-granddaughters Kate, Emily and Tess of Ottawa, grandson Tim (Danielle) of Toronto, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Verda and Marjorie, and in 1969 by her husband Jack. Marrion was born in Fleming, SK in 1908 and an RN graduate of the Regional Grey Nuns' Hospital in 1929. After a busy family life and communityy service, she moved to Ottawa in the early seventies. Throughout her life she was an energetic and accomplished artist who enjoyed painting, creating porcelain dolls and various other crafts. Her interests in travel and collecting were an inspiration to her family. A memorial service will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Saturday, November 22, at 2 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of the Canadian Diabetes Association. Sincere thanks to the staff of the Glebe Centre for their care and support.

Muriel Temple (Cantlie) Petch (Nee Jamieson) - 12/01/2003
Peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2003 in Ottawa, in her 95th year. Formerly of Montreal, she was predeceased by her beloved first husband, Lt. Col. Stuart Cantlie and her second husband Lt. Col. Charles Petch. Survived by her sons, Colonel James Cantlie (Ret'd)(Lorraine) of Ottawa, and Colin Cantlie (Marilyn) of Calgary, by her grandchildren Charles Cantlie of Jasper, Cynthia Cantlie (Dan Stephanson) of Ottawa, Susan Kempton (Howard) of Toronto, Craig Cantlie of Vancouver and Stephanie Cantlie of Calgary and by her great-grandchildren Julianna and Ethan Stephanson (Ottawa). Also survived by step-daughter Joan Camp (Ed) of Newport, Vermont. Predeceased by sisters Alice Errington and Betty Amory. At her request there will be no visitation with private funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

(Nee Quinlan) At St. Patrick's Home on Thursday, November 27, 2003 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late William Orlaf Searle. Loving mother of Mary Doney (Rod) and the late Dr. Robert Q. Searle (Elizabeth Searle-Armstrong). Also loved by her six grandchildren Karen Davies (Brian), Lisa Bruneau (Rod), Rob Searle (Lynne), Bill Searle (Dani), Kelly Searle (Steve Jones), Kirsty Bryan (Steve) and ten great grandchildren Justin, Cameron, Sarah, Andrew, Matthew, Hunter, Anika, Madison, Samantha and Connor. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.
