Margaret "Peggy" Vincent (nee Bradley) - 03/30/2006
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Margaret (Peggy) Vincent on Wednesday, March 29, 2006. Peggy was the wife of the late John Smith Vincent, and wonderful mother of Ron, David (Cynthia) and Cindy (Bill Samulack). Loving grandmother of Daniel, Rob and Kim. We would like to extend our special thanks to the 5th floor Palliative Care Staff of the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre for the wonderful care our mother received. Also, to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre and the Support Care workers our mother has had over the years through CCAC and Nepean Home Seniors. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St. on Friday, March 31, 2006 from 11 am until service time in the chapel at 1 pm. Interment to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre would be appreciated by the family.

Robert (Bob) Allan Westell - 03/29/2006

Peacefully on Tuesday March 28, 2006 at Barrhaven Manor, retirement home in Ottawa, Ontario in his 86th year. Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marion (nee Rankin) and lovingly remembered and missed by his children Bruce (Mary) of Calgary, Douglas (deceased), Ian (Ann) of Burlington and Ann (Wendy) of Greely and his grandchildren Jordan, Emily, Julia, and Lindsay. He is also survived by his brother John (Joyce) of Pennsylvania. Son of Grace and father Roy, born in London, UK, he came to Canada in 1928. Living in several cities in Quebec and Ontario, he graduated from Glebe Collegiate in Ottawa. Bob completed a tour with the 428 (Ghost) Squadron, 6 Group in Middleton, St. George, England, leaving the services as a Squadron Leader with a DFC. He will be deeply missed by surviving air force mates Bruce Betcher, Dougie Douglas, Bill (Red) Brown, Bill Kruse, Chuck Carter, and Frank Ditchburn. During his working life, he was employed with several companies including Tremco, Imperial Oil and ITT/Tyco Grinnell before retiring in 1990 in Burlington, Ontario. Bob enjoyed his home and followed the fortunes of the Canadian Football League Ottawa Roughriders and the NHL Toronto Maple Leafs. Active until recently, he enjoyed playing golf with Marion and other friends. The family would like to thank Dr. S. Lal of the Manotick Medical Centre, staff of Barrhaven Manor for their support and kindness shown to our father in his final months and days. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry , 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 11am. Private Interment Beechwood Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice.

Peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 in her 66th year. Beloved wife of the late Alvin White. Loving mother of Bonnie (Donnie Lively), Roger, David, Wendy (David), Dawn (Russell). Cherished grandmother of Crystal (James), Amanda (Robbie), Miranda, Billy, Melissa, Wynter, Jennifer, Jimmy, Brandon and Daniel. Adored sister of Eleanor (Graham Stephensen). Dear niece of Verna Jenzan and Florence Prosser. Predeceased by her special uncles Ernie and Earl Clarke. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Friday, March 31, from 7-9pm. A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, April 1 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.

Elle laisse dans le deuil, outre ses enfants, sa soeur Clarice, ses petits-enfants Isabelle (Ken), Martin et Roxane (Ivo), ainsi que les autres parents et amis qui ont fait un bout de chemin avec elle. La famille recevra les condoléances à la chapelle St-Laurent de Hulse, Playfair et McGarry, 1200, chemin Ogilvie, Ottawa, le mercredi 19 avril, de 14 heures à 17 heures et de 19 heures à 21 heures; et le jeudi 20 avril à compter de 9 heures. Le service religieux sera célébré le jeudi 20 avril, à 10 h 30, en l'église Notre-Dame de Lourdes, Vanier, 435, chemin Montréal, Ottawa. Robert Henry Belisle - 04/21/2006
On Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital aged 93 years. Born on October 31, 1912 in Westmount, Quebec. Son of J.W. Belisle and his wife Ann (nee Barron). Loving husband of the late Jacqueline (nee Piché) and devoted father to Denise, he was also predeceased by his older borther Roger. After graduating from the Faculty of Commerce (H.E.C.) of the University of Montreal (1938), he enlisted and served as an artillery officier in WWII; upon his return, he joined his family's firm and after retiring from business, he served as an officier of the Tax Court of Canada, until he finally retired at age 70. In his later years, he joined the Y.M./W.C.A. where he made many friends and remained an active participant until the end of 2005. Private funeral. Donations to the Seniors' Program of the Downtown Y.M./W.C.A. or the Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Alec G.D. Bounsall - 04/11/2006
passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital, Monday, April 10th, 2006 at the age of 83. Loving husband of Yvonne (nee Pinsonnault). Loving father of Ellen (Peter McAuslan) and Nancy (Douglas MacDonell). Cherished grandfather of Chelsea and Chloe. Dear brother of Ruth Parmelee (Jack). Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Alec was a hard working Chartered Accountant for over 56 years. He will be sadly missed this tax season and on the golf course. A special heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Dialysis Unit at the Ottawa General Hospital. The family would also like to thank the many doctors and nurses on the 7th Floor Northwest for all their exceptional care and support. Dear grandmother of Tim (Connie) Katie (Bob Hughes), Maureen (Blaine Philippi), Michael and Nicolas Great-grandmother of Ian, Olivia, Eric and Heather. Also survived by her brother Ian Spooner (Shirley) and several nieces and nephews in the U.K Funeral Service will be held at the Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 289 Spencer St., on Friday April 21st 2006 at 11 a.m. The Very Reverend the Dean Carl Reid officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimers Society or the Theological Education Fund of the Anglican Catholic Church of Canada would be appreciated.

Predeceased by her loving mother, Dorothy Patricia (Pat) Cameron in 1986. Survived by her very caring father, Stanley Daniel Cameron, and dear stepmother, Barbara Agnes Howell, and by her siblings and step-siblings, Peter Cameron (Lisa Hansen), Barbara Cameron (John Maclennan), Joyce Cameron, Rob Howell (Linda Howell), Brenda Becker (Ron Canata), Tanys Howell (Don Cumming), and nieces and nephews Emily and Robert Baxter; Adam, Sarah, and Daniel Cameron-Sorensen. Also survived by Michael Pine and other special friends, neighbours and colleagues. She died enveloped in the care, love, support and kindness she was blessed to receive and share her entire life. She wished only that she had had some extra months to contribute more back to the work and people she felt so enriched by.
