At the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, on Sunday, May 19th, 2002, at the age of 80 years, the former Ilene Cumming. Wife of the late Irvine Stewart. Dear mother of Ron of Paisley and Pam and her husband Alvin Allen of McIntyre. Gramma of Theresa Allen and her friend Mike and Michelle Allen all of Collingwood. Great grandmother of Siarra and Evan. She is also survived by her brothers Jim and Alvin Cumming and sisters Nellie Johnston and Ethel Cober. Predeceased by grandson Janson.

At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, surrounded by all his family on Thursday, May 16th, 2002, at the age of 80 years, Mac Stewart of Saugeen Shores. Husband of Peggy Stewart. Father of Dianne and her husband Rick Aubin of Saugeen Shores, Dennis and his wife Joan of Paisley, and Steven of Paisley. Grandpa to Steve and Rob Aubin, Andy and Sarah Stewart, and Kalley Stewart. Also surviving are three brothers, Lewis and his wife Mae of Lindsay, Lavern and his wife Gladys of Oshawa, and Harold and his wife Mabel of McArthur’s Mills and his sisters-in-law, Gladys and Mary Stewart. He is predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Clifford, and Milton.

In Owen Sound on Tuesday, February 18th, 2003 at the age of 83 years, the former Marion Scott of Port Elgin. Wife of the late Percy Stevens. Mother of Wayne and his wife Ev of Port Elgin, and Larry and his wife Tiiu of Richmond Hill. Grandmother of Kim, Keri, Stacey, Krista, and Christopher. Great-grandmother of Chloe and Alec Walker, Jack Drury, and Liam & Regan Goddard. Sister of Ethel Stafford, Nellie McArthur, Phyllis Wilson, Roy Scott, Margaret Pearce, and Lillian McGillivray. She is predeceased by seven brothers and sisters.

Suddenly at her residence in Port Elgin on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2003, at the age of 70 years, Waltraud Sternberg, wife of Werner Sternberg of Port Elgin and formerly of Waterloo, mother of Burkard and his wife Margaret of Meaford,, Bernard and his wife Cindy of Kenora, Karl and his wife Melinda, Laureen and her husband Donny Way, and Linda and her husband Shawn Keneer, all of Port Elgin. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

As a result of an automobile accident on Monday, November 20th, 2000 at the age of 58, Raeanne Stein from the Holiday Golf Club, Port Elgin. Dear wife of Keith Stein. Mother of John and his wife Susan of Thornhill, Steve and his wife Sue of Kitchener, Keith and his wife Vicki of Montego Bay, Jamaica and Ken “Lenny” and his wife Terry of Newmarket. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Gavin, Thomas, Kirsten, Erica and Sarah Stein. Sister of Ken Adams, Larry Adams, Bob Adams, Danny Adams, Bonnie Mifflin, Dixie Jessop and Laurie Reitsma.

At her home, Hillside Park Retirement Residence, Elliot Lake, on Wednesday, April 16th. 2003, in her 88th year, the former Dorothy Leona Gottschalk. Wife of the late Bill Stanley and the late Elmer Pollock. She is survived by her son Ross (Norma) Pollock of Elliot Lake, and by her daughter Lois (Bob) Gardhouse of Sauble Beach. Also survived by six grandchildren, David Pollock of Spanish, Garry (Carol) Pollock of Elliot Lake, Steven (Jean) Pollock of Brampton, Kim (Dave) Gardhouse of Toronto, Robbie Gardhouse of Vancouver, B.C., and Tracy Gardhouse of Mission, B.C., three great-grandchildren, and her sister-in-law Rachel Currie of Port Elgin.

John Spragg
Peacefully while surrounded by family at the Saugeen Memorial Hospital, Southampton, on December 3, 2005, at the age of 76 years, John Leonard Spragg of Port Elgin. Husband of Ellen (Mona) Spragg. Father of Brian and his wife Lynn of Whitby, John and his wife Tracey of Gilford, Kevin and his partner Randall of Vancouver. Beloved "Papa" of grandchildren Adam, Emily, Megan, and Abby. He is predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Mary Frances (nee Campbell). Survived by his sisters Patricia (Paddy), Eileen, and Betty. Survived also by in-laws Sam and Myra Wade (and sons Stephen and Chris) of Guelph and Colin and Esta McKinley of Waterloo and his many nieces and nephews in Australia. Predeceased by in-laws Edmund and Margaret Doherty, and nephew Neil and niece Marie.
A veteran of the Korean War, John served in the British Navy. John had worked for the Ontario Housing Corporation before his health prevented him from furthering his career. Throughout life and into his retirement years, he enjoyed fishing especially on the Saugeen River. John enjoyed music, surfing the net (a hobby that began at age 75), and his daily visits to Tim Horton's. He had a special place in his heart for his dog 'Sandy' who passed away only a few days earlier. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at the Saugeen Memorial Hospital as well as the GBHS for their compassion and care over the years and especially in the last few weeks. The family would also like to thank those friends and businesses in the community that have expressed their concern for John's health.
After cremation, a memorial service will be held in the Spring in Port Elgin.Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

At the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, on Sunday, May 19th, 2002, at the age of 82 years, Roy Spracklin of Paisley, husband of Margaret Spracklin, father of Bob of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, and Elizabeth and her husband Jeffrey Gandz of London. Grandpa to Ryan W. Spracklin of Edmonton, and Erica Spracklin of Saskatoon. He is survived by two sisters, Hazel Seedhouse of Don Mills, and Gwen Casement of Richmond Hill, one brother Lawrence Spracklin of Hagersville, by one cousin Berenice McLaren of Toronto, and by many nieces and nephews. His family gratefully acknowledges Roy’s “Special Angel”, Judy Leslie.

Jeanne of Schomberg. Devoted grandfather of eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Florence Altman of Barrie.
