Surrounded by her loving family at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton on Monday, December 16th, 2002 in her 71st year, the former Marion Ribey of Port Elgin. Loving wife of the late Alvin Schlorff (1994). Much loved mother of Elinor and her husband Jim Phillips of Kitchener, Barb and her husband Tom Parker of R.R. #1, Campbellville, John and his wife Sue of Bruce Township, and Anne and her husband Cliff Roth of Waterloo. Proud grandma of Angela and her husband Andrew Brenner, Dawn Phillips, Rebecca and Adam Parker, Amy and Lindsay Schlorff, and Matthew Roth. Cherished sister of Noreen and her husband Harry Kibler, Don Ribey and his wife Sharon all of Port Elgin, and Howard Ribey and his wife Audrey of Bruce Township. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews in the Ribey and Schlorff families.

In Wiarton on Friday, February 21st, 2003 at the age of 88 years, Norman Schildroth of Port Elgin. Father of Paul and his wife Joan of Port Elgin, Joan and her husband Paul Pace of Angus, Martin and his wife Jola of Port Elgin, Garth of Port Elgin, and John and his wife Adele of Red Deer, Alberta. Grandpa to Lisa and her husband Tim Pomroy, Lana and her husband Rod Blundell, and Leanne, Matthew, Mark and Mitchell Schildroth. Great-grandpa of Dylan and Skylar Pomroy and Tanner and Avery Blundell. Norman if survived by his sister Mary Leifso of Chesley, sisters-in-law Wynn Schildroth of Vancouver, and Fran Schildroth of Aurora, and by the children's mother Annie M. Schildroth of Port Elgin. He is predeceased by his brothers William, Clarence, George and Louis, his sisters Annie and Edith, and by his parents Fred H. Schildroth and Mary Louisa Minke.

Sayers, Grace Lillian
At the Grey-Bruce Health Service in Southampton, early Saturday morning, Sept. 27th, 2003, at the age of 86 years, the former Grace Lunan, wife of the late Hubert Sayers, mother of Vern of Toronto and Elaine and her husband Don Palmer of Port Elgin, Grandma to Catherine and her husband Peter Kingdon, Daniel, Jennifer and her husband David Kurpjuweit, and Allison and her friend Michel Schipprack. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Justin and Matthew Kurpjuweit, and Rachel Kingdon. Predeceased by one brother Murray, and by two sisters Florence McLean and Eloise Lunan.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Monday afternoon, September 29th. Funeral service will be conducted in Port of Fellowship Baptist Church, 910 Goderich St., Port Elgin on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Eric Watson officiating. A reception with the family at the church will follow the service.

Peacefully, with his family by his side at St. Catharines General Hospital, on Sunday, January 29th, 2006 at the age of 40 years, Mark Sawyer of St. Catharines, Paisley and Toronto. Son of Marlene Sawyer of St. Catharines and formerly of Paisley. Brother of Stephen and his wife Marjorie of Southampton, Brian and his wife Patricia of Miller Lake, and David and his wife Tricia of Fonthill. He is also survived by his grandmother Lil Haney, and by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his father Ron (Tom) Sawyer, his grandfather Robert Haney, and by his grandparents Gordon and Alma Sawyer.

Saunders, Robert Walter
In Owen Sound on Saturday, April 21st, 2001, in his 71st year, Bob Saunders of Port Elgin and formerly of Toronto, husband of the former Betty Mitchell, father of Connie and her husband Paul Murphy of Barrie, Rob and his wife Lisa of Toronto, and Kelli Saunders and her husband Alex Milic of Toronto. "Grandpa Bob" to Bryan and Dawn Murphy. Predeceased by his daughter Linda in 1973, and one sister Ruth Russell.

Mr. Saunders was the founder of Humbertown Travel in Toronto, and a Director of the American Association of Travel Agents for many years in the 1960's and 1970's. He served as a special consultant to the Ontario Government for the creation of the Ontario Travel Act, and orchestrated the Travel Compensation Fund within that Act. Bob served as an instructor in the Travel and Tourism Division of Humber College for seventeen years. He moved to Port Elgin in 1994, where he served as Treasurer of Camp Quality. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Victorian Order of Nurses, and was very active in the Literacy Group and the Propeller Club.

Father of Norma Jean of Hillsdale, Dan and his wife Kym of Owen Sound, and Scott of Saugeen Township. Grandpa of Teresa Price , Cheryl Ireland, Carla Underhill, Steve McCabe and Tyler Salmon. Great-grandpa of Nicole and Christopher Ireland and Megan Price . Brother of Norma and her husband Jim Hickling of Winnipeg. Brother-in-law of Rita Smith and Jack Gingrich and his wife Leone. He is predeceased by his daughter Yvonne Underhill (1982), brothers Gordon and Morley and by his sister Doris Irwin.

Dear mother of David of Ottawa, Stuart and his wife Debra of Calgary, Sylvia and her husband Ken Holdaway of Port Elgin, and Miriam and her spouse Percy Beauchamps of Toronto. Beloved grandmother of Chris Russell, Tianna Dupuis, Graham and Nicole Russell, Colin, Jason, and Rob Holdaway. She is also survived by her sister Marjorie and her husband Stan Freeman of Goderich.

Eunice Rumleskie
Peacefully, on Thursday, November 25th, 2004 in her 72nd year, after a long and courageous fight with cancer. Wife of the late Dominic (Nick) Rumleskie. Dear mother and mother-in-law of Randy and Jackie of Cobourg, Patricia and Curtis Hynds of London, Pam and Mike Head of Bradford, and Gina Simmonds of Port Elgin. Loving grandmother of Christina, Nicholas, Matthew, Courtney, Jeremy, Justen and Jason. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Tina and Roy Martin of Chalk River, the late Glendon, Malcom, and Christopher Tooley, and Mildred Pecore. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews, and her friends old and new. Special thanks to the staff at Hospice Newmarket. You helped to bring much joy during her days at the Oasis Program. Thank you to the Medical/Oncology doctors and nursing staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre for all your special care and attention. Cremation to follow. Arthur Ruch
At the Southampton Care Centre on Tuesday, May 9th, 2006 at the age of 93 years, Art Ruch of Southampton and formerly of Kitchener. Loving husband for 68 years of the former Alma Candlish of Southampton. Dad of Arlene Cook, and Audrey and her husband William Perrott, all of Southampton. Grandfather of Robin and her husband Brad Schumacher, Scott Saunders and his wife Trish, Christine Saunders, Cheryl Metcalfe and her fiancé Dave Showersl, and Nick Saunders and his wife Samantha. Great-grandfather of five. He is also survived by his brother Ken of Ridgeway and by several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers, Edwin, Alvin and Ernest and by his twin sister Doris Wale.
Funeral service will be conducted in Faith Lutheran Church, 525 Ivings Dr., Port Elgin on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dwight Biggs officiating.

At his residence in Southampton, on Tuesday, January 30th, 2001, in his 79th year, Frank Rozek of Southampton. Companion of Eileen Pearson. Father of Alfred of Ituna, Saskatchewan, Jerry and Lynda of London, and Irene and Bob Dawson of Waterloo.
He is also survived by ten grandchildren and relatives in Poland
Funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church, Southampton, on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Father Robert Hudson officiating. Visitation will take place in the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral mass.
