Alan "Big Al" Pollard
At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton on Monday, April 04, 2005, at the age of 63 years, Al Pollard of Port Elgin. Husband of Jackie Pollard. Father of Sue and her husband Francis Toussaint of France, Kim and her husband Jim Thede of Burgoyne, and Al Jr., and his wife Cindy of Omemee. Papa to Jamie, Sarah, Kristen, Chad and Nicole. Brother of Bob Pollard and his wife Barb of Scarborough, Russ Pollard and his wife Mary Anne of Brantford, and Win and her husband Ray Beckford of Havelock. Predeceased by his parents, his brothers Dick and Ken, by his sister Barb, and by his sister-in law Connie Pollard. Surviving also are his sister-in-law Marjorie Pollard, and his brother-in-law Jack Porter.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 7 to 9 pm. on Friday evening. A private family funeral service will be conducted with Pastor Peter Stopford officiating.

It is with great pride that the family of the late Alan Pollard, "Big Al" announce the acceptance of his body to the University of Western Ontario, London. Al's legacy of helping others continues through this contribution.
Planz, John Philipp
John died suddenly in London, on Monday, January 28th, 2002, at the age of 47 years. He was a loving husband and father who will be deeply missed by his wife the former Debbie Butler, his sons, Josh and Phil and his daughter, Kate. John is survived by his mother Dorothy of Kitchener, his sister Linda Rusk and her husband Brian, and their sons Christopher and David, of Waterloo. He is predeceased by his father Philipp Planz.
John received his LLB from the University of Western Ontario in 1980, was called to the Bar in 1982 and practiced law in Port Elgin, Ontario for 20 years. He was happiest with Deb on their sailboat and enjoyed the close relationships he had with his family and friends. John loved life and put his heart into living it. He was an enthusiastic and loyal supporter of his three kids in all their endeavors.
A funeral service will be held in the Port Elgin United Church, 840 Bruce St., Port Elgin, on Friday at 2:00 p.m. Following the funeral service the family will receive friends at the Windspire Inn, 276 Mill Street, Port Elgin.
In keeping with John’s commitment to his community, donations in his memory may be made to the Saugeen Shores Medical Centre Building Fund, through the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin, 519-832-2222.
Pilon, Charles Fredrick "Sonny"
At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton on Monday, February 19th, 2001, at the age of 69 years, Sonny Pilon of Southampton. Husband of the former Shirley Burke. He will be sadly missed by his children Rick and his wife Fay Roote of Southampton, Linda and her husband Marvin Doran of Ottawa, Patti Sue and her husband Jim Shrider of Port Elgin, Kathy and her husband Doug Mahon of Southampton, and Mike and his wife Janet of Rondeau. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Brother of David and his wife Shirley of Port Lambton and Robert and his wife Pat of Listowel.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Margaret Greenhow officiating.

At her residence in Port Elgin on Friday, June 20th, 2003, at the age of 77 years,the former Ferne Majury Stout, wife of the late Bruce Pickard and the late John Stout. Mother of Bryon Stout and his wife Noel of Thunder Bay, and Kevin Stout and his wife Susan of Walkerton. Special mother to Leslie and Randy Saunders. Stepmother to Dennis Pickard and his wife Janet of Blaine, Washington, and Michael Pickard and his wife Elayne of Aldergrove, B.C. Dear Grandma of Heather, Hayley, Megan, Lauren, Rory, Jesse, Daniel, Benjamin and Devin. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Ene, Elaine, Lorne and Ross and their families. She is predeceased by her sister Karen and by her brother Bob.

At the Southampton Care Centre, Southampton, on Thursday, September 5th, 2002 at the age of 88 years, the former Susie Plett. Wife of the late Henry Peters. Mother of Fred and his wife Martha of Surrey, B.C., Dave and his wife Arlene of Mexico City, Ben and his wife Brenda of Spokane, Washington, and Carol and her husband Bruce Flett of Paisley. Grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sons Paul and Doron.

Percival, Winnifred Florence
At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Saturday, April 28th, 2001, surrounded by family, friends and the Rev. Gordon Williams, Winnifred “Winnie” Florence Percival of 998 Bricker St., Port Elgin, in her 60th year, after a courageous faith-filled battle with cancer. Wife of Bob Percival of Port Elgin. Mother of Rhandy Patton and his wife Beth of Collingwood, and Bonnie and her husband Glen Cah of Barrie. Grandmother of Leah, Christopher, Regan and Ryan Patton, all of Collingwood and Carly Patton of Barrie. Daughter of T. Clarke White of Hampton Court, Southampton. Sister of Gwen Turner of Dartmouth, N.S. She is also survived by one paternal aunt, Florence Gregg of Kincardine, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her mother Marjorie White.
A joyful memorial service will be conducted at Port Elgin United Church, 840 Bruce St., Port Elgin, on Saturday, May 5th, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Gordon Williams and Mr. Bob Johnston officiating.

Peltsch, Ellen
At the Southampton Care Centre, on Friday, February 21st, 2003, at the age of 47 years, the former Ellen Mackay. Loving wife of Tom Peltsch of Goderich, formerly of Port Elgin. She will be missed by her children, Alicia of St. Catharines and Craig of Goderich. Dear daughter of Jim & Wilma Mackay, sister of Linda Mackay, and Ken and Tamara all of Owen Sound, Bob and his wife Debbie of Carleton Place and Don and his wife Christine of Bowmanville. Grandaughter of Bernard Redner of Rednersville. She is also survived by her in-laws, Karl and Elfrieda Peltsch of Sault St. Marie and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her grandparents.

At Victoria Hospital South St. Campus, London, on Tuesday, July 29th, 2003 in her 88th year, the former Gladys Currie of Paisley. Wife of the late John Pearce. Dear mother of Lois McFadden of Paisley, Lorraine and her husband Wes Riley of Teeswater, Bill and his wife Elaine of Elmira, and Bob and his wife Evelyn of Paisley. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Duncan and Lavina Currie, her sister Verna McKeeman, her twin brother Clarence Currie, daughter-in-law June Pearce, and son-in-law Bruce McFadden.

She is predeceased by her son Derrick, three brothers and one sister.

He is also survived by his nephew Gregory Partridge, nieces Cassandra and Ashley Partridge, Erica Dealy, and cousins Michael Henry, Harold Henry, and Brian Besito. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends.
