passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Monday, March 3rd, 2003 at the age of 88 years, the former Eleanor Poulter. Wife of the late Canon Orrence Laramie. Mother of Jim and his wife Colleen of Vancouver, and Gaye and her husband Ron Schell of Port Elgin. Grandma to Todd and Rob Kerrigan, and Rebecca, Ryan, Heather, and Tyler Schell. Sister of Ken Poulter of Leamington. She is predeceased by her brother Ernest.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral service will be conducted in St. John’s Anglican Church, Port Elgin on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Margaret Greenhow officiating.

At Central Place, Owen Sound on Monday, November 19th, 2007 at the age of 81 years, the former Dorothy MacEachern of Port Elgin. Wife of the late Robert M. “Bob” Lamont. Mother of Dr. R. Neil and his wife Gwen of Owen Sound, D. Ann and her husband John Serpa of Toronto, and W. Iain of Montreal. Grandma to Bobby Serpa. Step-grandmother to Allison, Laura, and Michael. Step-great-grandmother to Cody, Aiden and Jackson. Sister of Bill MacEachern and his wife Merle of Waterloo. She will also be remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

John "Jack" Laing
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jack, at his residence in Southampton, on Saturday, September 6th, 2003.Loving and devoted husband of the former Gloria Swanson, beloved father of James and his wife Marilyn of Mississauga, and Lenore (Lou) and her husband Bob Mackan of Calgary.Proud grandfather of Bryce and his wife Kristina, Jennifer and her husband John Wedley, Marleigh, Lindsay, David and Diana, and great-grandfather of Braeden and Emma Louise.Brother to Harry in Vancouver and Ronald in Creston, B.C.He is predeceased by his sisters Alexa and Gwen, and by brothers Jeff and Ernest.Ever remembered and cherished by his nieces and nephews.
Jack will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Pauline Cerson and Karen Nelson, and by brothers-in-law and dear friends Gordon Cerson of Teeswater and Graham Nelson of Waterloo.
Funeral service for Mr. Laing will be conducted in St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 248 High St., Southampton, on Tuesday morning, Sept. 9th at 11.30 a.m.,with the Rev. Margaret Greenhow officiating.
A reception with the family will immediately follow the funeral service at St. Paul’s Church.

Debra Kranenburg
Went to be with her heavenly father peacefully with her family by her side at the South Bruce-Grey Health Centre, Walkerton on Monday, October 22nd, 2007 at the age of 50 years, the former Debra Scott of Paisley. She will be missed by her best friend and husband Bill Kranenburg. Together they shared a great love for their children; Wesley and his wife Jessica of Scotland, Ontario, Nathaniel and his wife Laura of Port Elgin, Jeremy and his wife Katie of Southampton, Zachary of Paisley, and Emily of Paisley. Bill and Debra also received great joy from their three grandchildren; Josiah, Caleb, and Chloe-Anne. Debbie is survived and greatly loved by her parents Roy and Bertha Scott of Port Elgin, her sister Darlene Mashinter and family of Waterloo, and by her brothers Don Scott and family of Calgary, AB, and Dave Scott and family of Wellesley. She will always be remembered by her many friends and remain in their hearts.

As the result of a motor vehicle accident, on Tuesday, May 27th, 2003, in her 50th year, Barbara Krane-Nash of Port Elgin. Beloved wife and best friend of David Nash and loved by David Jr.Much loved by her parents, William and Mary Krane of Mississauga. Dearest sister of Peter, John, and Stephen Krane, Mary Ellen Krane, and Rosemary Rafferty. Sister-in-law of Sally Krane, Tracy Krane, John Butler and James Rafferty. Predeceased by her sister, Anne Elizabeth Butler in May 1997. Remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and former colleagues.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Alexandra, Andrew John and Sarah and brothers Glen and Jim. Predeceased by his son John and brothers Bill and Bob.

Dear mother of Cheryl and her husband Rene Prattis, and grandmother of Tyler Prattis all of Port Elgin. She is also survived by her siblings, Bill Cressman and his wife Helen, Bob Cressman and his wife Ruth, Pat and her husband Joe Taylor, Bev Hauck, Marg Schultz all of the K-W area, Diane Dalton of Toronto, Janet Jadeski of Vancouver, BC, Carol Gatreau of Calgary and Lenore Petit of Detroit. Predeceased by her sisters Dorothy Doyle, Virginia Karn and Joan Tanner.

Kollontay, Kashmier
Suddenly in Toronto on Saturday, May 3rd, 2003 in his 55th year. Kashmier was a graduate of Ryerson University and a long time employee of the CBC. He will be sadly missed by his mother Sophia, brother Stanley and his wife Ann of Southampton, sisters Mary and her husband Lee Stokley of London, Joanne Howe of Port Elgin, Krystyna Kollontay and her friend Jéan of Toronto. He was a special uncle to Jeffery, Kelly, Marnie, Michelle, Quinn, and Cara Beth. Companion to Bob the dog. Predeceased by his father John (1982) and brother-in-law Jack Howe (1999). A good friend to many, Kashmier will be remembered for his sense of humour, his love of sports, good food and wine.
