At her residence in Port Elgin on Friday, September 16th, 2003, at the age of 69 years, Jean Hammond, wife of the late Wallace Hammond.
A memorial service will be conducted in the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel,510 Mill Street, Port Elgin (Town of Saugeen Shores), on Thursday morning, October 16th, 2003, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Gordon Williams officiating.
A reception will immediately follow in the Community Room of the funeral home.
Guyer, Stephen
At his Florida residence in Leesburg on Thursday, December 20th, 2001 at the age of 61 years, Stephen Guyer of Port Elgin and formerly of Brampton. Husband of the former Marsha Thornton. Father of Scott of Paris, Ontario, and Todd of Brampton. Grandpa to Kristin, Kayla, Kelsey, Brandon, Nicholas, Caitlyn, and Megan. Son of George and Mabel Guyer of Port Elgin. Brother of Ted and his wife Eva of Port Elgin, Michael andKim of Owen Sound. Brother-in-law of Cynthia and her husband Bryan Dunlop of Winnipeg, Bill Thornton and his wife Nancy of Windsor, and Brian Thornton and his wife Linda of Wallaceburg. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews.

Mabel Guyer
At Summit Place in Owen Sound, on Sunday, December 24th, 2006, at the age of 86 years, the former Mabel L. McTeer. Wife of the late George Guyer. Mother of Ted and his wife Eva of Saugeen Twp., and Michael of Owen Sound. She is also survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Marsha Guyer, and by two brothers and one sister. Mabel is predeceased by her son Stephen, and by one sister and five brothers.

January 2nd, 2007, at 11:00 a.m.. with Elder A.J.V. Leeder officiating.

Annie Guthrie
At Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Saturday, July 3rd, 2004, at the age of 98 years, the former Anne Mitchell, of Port Elgin. Dearly beloved wife of the late Dr. James C. Guthrie who predeceased her in 1954. Devoted mother of Peter and his wife Muriel of London, John and his wife Marie of LaSalle, Dianne and her husband Patrick O’Neill of Halifax. and Mary Jane Miernicke of St. Clair Beach. Proud grandmother of Heather and her husband Matthew Phillips of London, James Guthrie, and St. John O’Neill both of Dundas, and Brendan O’Neill of Victoria. Predeceased by two sisters, Jean Tracy and Marion McIntosh, one brother Charles Mitchell, grandson John Joseph Guthrie, son–in-law Leo Miernicke, and by her parents, Alex and Jennie Mitchell. Mrs. Guthrie was a long-time member of Port Elgin United Church, and of the United Church Women

George Gurr
Peascefully at the Southampton Care Centre on Thursday, September 30th, 2004, at the age of 96 years and 3 days. He was married for 72 years to his most love, wife Dora who passed away in 2002. George was a wonderful father and friend to Norm and his wife Florence of Southampton, John and his wife Mary Beth of Kingston and Mary Ann and her husband Ron Cooper of Cobourg. George and Dora’s grandchildren are Nick, Richard, Michael, Wendy, Justin and Melanie. Their great grandchildren are Keith, Simon, Laura, Len, Andrew and Douglas.
A private funeral service was held on Saturday, October 9th, 2004 at 3.00 p.m., at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Southampton, with the Rev. Margaret Greenhow officiating.
Interment Southampton Cemetery.
The family give many thanks to the Southampton Care Centre and its most special and caring staff for their professionalism and most of all the love they gave to George and Dora during their sunset years with them.

Gramma to Terry Grogan and his wife Tina of Toronto, MindyGrogan and her fiancé Brad Armstrong of Ajax, Craig Milner of Toronto, and Wayne Milner of Guelph. Great-gramma to Ivah Jane Guy of Port Elgin. Sister-in-law of Marion J. Eby, and June Brill, both of Port Elgin. She is predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

In Kitchener on Tuesday, March 5th, 2002 at the age of 41 years, Roger Green of Kitchener. Son of the late John and Madeline Green. Brother of Michael and his wife Susan of Toronto, Stephen and his wife Jill of Port Elgin, Jocelyn and her husband Dean Malloy of London, and David and Stacey of Waterloo. Grandson of Dorothy Green of Port Elgin. He is also survived by his uncle Bill Green and his wife Carol-Anne of Toronto, and Bob Green of Southampton, and by his aunt Janet and her husband Bill Lave of Denver, Colorado. Roger followed his profession as an accountant in Sarnia, Toronto, and Waterloo.

At the Southampton Care Centre on Wednesday evening, November 15th, 2006 at the age of 62 years, Bob Green of Port Elgin, and formerly of Granville Ferry, N.S. Son of the late Ken (Old Man) Green and Dot (Momsy) Green. Brother of Bill and his wife Carol Ann of Burlington, and Janet and her husband Richard Hutchins of Lakewood Colorado. He is also survived by his Aunt Rita “Bunny” and her husband George Lockhart of Victoria B.C., his nieces and nephews, Michael Green and his wife Susan Cameron of Toronto, Steven Green and his wife Jill of Port Elgin, Jocelyn and her husband Dean Malloy of London, David Green and his partner Stacie Gronau of Waterloo, Derrick Green and his wife Donna of Newmarket, Deborah and her husband Bryan Hogan of Richmond Hill, Kenneth Green of Toronto, Jeremy Green and Jessie Lave of Lakewood, Colorado, and their families. Bob is predeceased by his brother John in 1997, his nephew Roger, and by one grandniece Nadine Malloy.

Suddenly on Thursday, March 14, 2002, at the age of 95 years, the former Dorothy Gates, wife of the late Kenneth Green, mother of Bill and his wife Carol Ann of Toronto, Bob of Southampton, and Janet and her husband Bill Lave of Denver, Colorado. She is survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one sister Reta Lockhart and her husband George of Victoria B.C., and one sister-in-law Margaret Green of Montreal. Mrs. Green is predeceased by one son John, one grandson Roger, one great-granddaughter, one sister and two brothers.

Wife of the late Bill Grass. Mother of Bob and his wife Mary, and Pete and his wife Tilly, all of Kitchener,Junior and his wife Sharon of Port Elgin, Barbara Payne of Waterloo, Gerry McCulloch of Port Elgin, Jim and his wife Edith of Walkerton, and Joe and his wife Janet of Port Elgin.Mrs. Grass is survived by her 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, by one brother William Bowling, and by one sister Edna Fogel, both in Michigan.She is predeceased by her parents Cleve and Alma Bowling, and by one daughter Shirley Tweedie.

Dear mother of James and his wife Johanna of Brandon, Manitoba, Mary Lou and her husband Dr. Sami Haddad of Sacramento, California, the late Jean and her husband Robert Knox of Orillia, Lenore and her husband Jim Hope of Paisley, and Frank of London. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and by her brother Jim Threndyle of Walkerton. She is predeceased by her brother Art Kerry.
