She is also survived by six grandchildren; Robert Sumpton, Shirley and her husband Rob Lawlor, Derick Searle and his wife Kelly, Karen and her husband Chris Warren, Jeffrey Chambers and his wife Michelle, and Susan Chambers and her friend Ian Rankin, three great-grandchildren Bradley and Jason Lawlor, and Tracy Searle, and by several nieces and nephews. Sister of Walter and his wife Joyce of Trail, B.C. and the late Robert Dawson.

Dear grandfather of Kimberley Armstrong of Mississauga and Robert Armstrong and his friend Barbara Harlow of Calgary. He is survived by his brother Grant Cater of Burlington and by his dear friend Patricia Willis of Waterdown. Predeceased by his son-in-law Harold Armstrong.
