At the Grey-Bruce Health Services in Southampton on Saturday, April 13, 2002, at the age of 83 years, Marguerite Brannick. Wife of the late T.A. “Pete” Brannick. Mother of Janice Storms of Lindsay, Irene and her husband Murray Howe of Bruce Twp., and Ann of Port Elgin. Grandma of Mark and Sarah Howe. Marg is fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Coral Mercer of Southampton, and by several nieces and nephews of the Mercer and Vennard families. She is predeceased by her parents Joseph Vennard and the former Esther Macdonald, by her son-in-law Bill Storms, by one sister Irene Vennard, and by two brothers Alex and Clarence Vennard.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, April 15th. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Bill McCarty officiating.

Boyes, Donald Kenneth
At Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Saturday, August 4, 2001, at the age of 68, Donald Boyes of Port Elgin. Beloved husband of the former Ruth Elizabeth Fox. Dear brother of William and his wife Lois of St. Catharines, Barry and his wife Louise of Ottawa. He is brother-in-law to Irene and her husband Calvin Kay of Rockwood, Douglas Fox and his wife Bev of Dunnville, Wendel Fox and Ellen of Kirkfield, Alfred Fox and his wife Reta of Canfield. He will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Don retired from TRW Canada Ltd., St. Catharines, in June 1996 after 33 years of service and moved from Grimsby to Port Elgin. He was an avid angler and hunter, was a member of the Lake Huron Fishing Club and the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.
An informal celebration of Don's life will be held on Sunday, August 19th, 2001, from 2-4pm at the Holiday Trailer Park, in "The Hut", Southampton.

Chris Bowman
At her home on Tuesday, January 1st, 2008, at the age of 54 years, Chris Bowman of Port Elgin. She is survived by her mother Eileen Hauser and stepfather Lloyd Hauser of Kitchener. Dear sister of Linda and her husband Tim Westhead of Whitby. Aunt of Jessica Westhead and her husband Derek Wuenschirs of Toronto, and Cameron Westhead and his partner Marcella Campbell of Canmore, AB. She is predeceased by her father Ernest Frank Bowman, and by her brother Frank Ernest Bowman.

Peacefully at his residence at Elgin Lodge in Port Elgin on Friday evening, March14th, 2003, at the age of 76 years, Ken Bowes of Port Elgin, beloved husband of the late Dorothy Wilkinson.Ken is survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Bowes, and by niece Doris Meacham and her husband Don of Wiarton , and by nephew Dick Bowes ofLouisville, Kentucky.Predeceased by brothers and sisters Dorothy Smith, Marie Strachan, Roy Bowes, Cliff Bowes, and Nadean Chapman.Ken will be especially missed by close friends Rachel and John MacDonald.

Loved husband and best friend of Pat Bowes. Loving mother of Brett, currently stationed in Brussels, Belgium with his wife Brigitte. Doting grandma of Katherine and Alexander. She will also be dearly missed by her mother-in-law, Emily Boudreau of Yarmouth, nieces Patti Byers and Sandra Mercey, extended family and many friends.

Wife of the late Harold Birrell. Beloved mother of Judy and her husband Dennis Reany of Port Elgin, Don and his wife Ainslee of Strathroy, Doug of Hanover, James and his wife Grace of Pinkerton and Susan of Nanaimo B.C. Grandmother of eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one step great-grandchild. Sister of Jean and her husband George Leitch of Don Mills, Robert Routledge and his wife Afifa of Arizona, Harold Routledge and his wife Maureen of Atlin, B.C.
